Chapter 2: I am a Zombie!

The smell of blood and decay filled my nostrils. My eyesight was blurry. I could feel the cold soil on my hands and cheeks. That’s how I knew I was lying face down.

(I remember now… I lost consciousness after checking my status…)

Little by little I was able to sort things out and compose myself.

This is no doubt the Forest of Eternal Darkness. Undead monsters often appear in the Forest of Eternal Darkness, but they are generally slow-moving and have low intelligence. I should be able to manage for a while.

Next, what to do if I encounter adventurers? I am without a mistake a “monster” now. It means naturally being hunted by adventurers.

However, there is absolutely nothing that can be used as material from hunting lower class undead. Sometimes there is a rare quest in which you have to collect a mushroom with a hypnotic effect called “Anmindake”. It is E-rank in terms of quest rank. If I raise my level before encountering any adventurers, I should be able to drive them away.

First of all, I still have the knowledge from my days as an adventurer. I know monster ranks and weaknesses. The experiences I have accumulated as an adventurer should help me survive in the future.
