Chapter 489: Talking About Work

「… This corn, this corn is really something. 」

Soleil’s gaze finally shifted away from the sculpture perched on the stairs and locked onto the corn grilling in front of her.

For the record, the corn was grown at my 『House』. We’ve got some of them growing on the farms here too, but there are only a few of them so I have no idea if Soleil’s ever tried an island grown one before.

「Up until now, I’ve only seen ones with tough outer skins or uneven rows with gaps. Still, it’s not that hard to accept if someone tells me it’s corn, since they do have some similarities. I’m pretty sure people will receive this well, and it’ll be the next tomatoes. 」
And just like that, Soleil slipped into business mode.

「Yeah. Ah, but this kind of corn is best eaten freshly boiled, you know? 」
