Chapter 501: Suspicions about the Backer

「I received the contract from our (temporary) trading partner. 」

「What’s with you, that’s so out of the blue. 」
I’m back at the rental house in Canum. Hauron replied as he took the contract I handed him.

Khan was sitting at his usual spot in front of the fireplace, while Chris and Dean were at the same table as Hauron, sipping wine and snacking on grilled meat. It was already so late, but Retze hadn’t returned yet.

「Oh, this is for the Meyr wheat. If possible, I’d like to continue trading with Nalluahdid through this company in the future. 」

Soleil had given me a signed contract earlier today. There was so much Meyr wheat that regular wheat’s price might shoot up if we try to scrape whatever amount we can get our hands on. To keep things simple, we settled on sending Meyr wheat to Khan’s country at the standard wheat price.
