Chapter 524: Expanding Production

Anyway, I really want some bamboo ー for making ear picks, specifically. I actually have bamboo shoots in my 『Pantry』, still with their skins intact.

The ones I have had their roots already cut off. The spirits around here have never seen any trees that can be considered similar to bamboo, and even though I did try to cheat a bit by asking spirits to grow some for me, I ended up with something that would surely earn me a lecture if I were to show it to Retze and the others ー a golden bamboo shoot, and it didn’t even grow into proper bamboo.

And so, I decided to head east. Yup, there’s the risk of running into unfamiliar spirits, but exploring new places is pretty fun, plus I might meet people like the Meyr folks again.
