On a certain day of our journey toward the Alein system, Mimi suddenly dropped that line.

I had a very bad feeling about where this was going, so I tried to dodge the question. Back in the mercenary guild’s simulator room, when I accidentally showed Elma what I could really do, she had bared her competitive fangs at me. Things might be different now that she’s already seen my strength, but still…
「…Sounds like you’re saying you might lose under some conditions, but normally you’re stronger, huh?」
Elma smiled sweetly, but her aura was anything but gentle.
「See, Mimi, this is what happens!」
「E-eh? Ah, um, s-sorry…」
Honestly, the moment Mimi let those words slip, this outcome was unavoidable. If I said I was stronger, Elma would’ve pushed back. If I said I was weaker, she would’ve been offended anyway. There was no winning.
「Calm down, Elma. I really don’t think I can beat you in hand-to-hand combat, and when it comes to ship battles—if we were in the same ship—I genuinely don’t know how it would play out. That’s the truth.」

Elma’s long elf ears twitched as she stared into my face, searching for even a hint of dishonesty. Those ears twitch when she’s happy—but also when she’s suspicious. I know that much.
「We need to settle this once and for all.」
「Settle… what, exactly?」
「Which of us is truly stronger, of course!」
She struck a dramatic pose, as if a ‘BA-BAAAN!’ sound effect had gone off behind her.
「Uh, yeah. Elma’s stronger. Definitely.」
「Oh, come on! You think I’d just accept that!?」
「Does it even matter who’s stronger? It’s not like you and I are ever gonna fight for real.」
She grabbed me by the collar and shook me violently, but I let it happen without resistance.
「You say that, but inside you’re thinking that as long as it’s not hand-to-hand, you’d never lose to me, aren’t you?」
「…」
I kept quiet. Truth is, I don’t think Elma can beat me in anything outside of close combat. In a shootout, I have the edge. In ship battles, if our vessels were of equal performance, I would probably win too. It isn’t set in stone, but I’m confident in my chances
「Well!?」
「No-way-I’m-not-thinking-such-a-thing~」
「Liar! That’s it, now I’m pissed! Fight me!」
「Ehh…」
If I go easy on her and she realizes it, she’d rage like wildfire. But if I went all out, I’d win for sure… which would sour her mood anyway. Honestly, there is zero upside for me.
「Why are you so unwilling?!」
「Because there’s nothing in it for me.」
「So you would if there was something to gain? Fine. Loser has to do whatever the winner says for a whole day.」
「…Wait. Did you just say whatever?」
「That’s right. But nothing life-threatening or money-related, of course. Mimi will be the judge.」
「Eeeh…」
Mimi let out a troubled sound at suddenly being saddled with the role of referee. Hey, you started this mess, so you should carry part of the burden.
「Alright, let’s do it then.」
「Oh? Now you’re fired up.」
「’Cause Elma just promised to do whatever I say.」
「Don’t get cocky…! If you think this will be easy, you’re dead wrong!」

Roughly two hours later, before me stood a pitiful elf with a placard hanging from her neck reading: ‘I begged for rematches three times and still lost completely.’

Elma is probably my favorite of the girls—as Philips said below: too much spunk for her own good, and I’ll add “mature tomboy” to that. Though I say ‘probably’ because each one is different to the point you can’t really compare them.
The main reason I’m commenting now is the shower thought I just had (basically a silly or funny idea): once Hiro and the girls have kids, are they all going to grow up to be harem protagonists?
I’m going to ignore any deep thoughts. Assuming Hiro ends up with 16 kids, half of them male, that’s up to 8 harems if we’re not being too silly. If we are, that’s up to 16. How many of Hiro’s kids are gonna have harems?
My prediction: 1 (the 4th son)
