Chapter 37 – part 5

Senjutsu: Colorless Zero Style.

It starts from the Zero Style and ends at the Ninth Style.

By the way, mastering all nine styles allows one’s soul to completely assimilate with nature, achieving perfect immortality and eternal youth.
In other words, becoming a spiritual life form that melds with spaceーbecoming one and the same as a god.

Well, I’m not interested in that stuff, so I only learnt the Zero Style.

「This is a technique used by stealth operatives. Both in Japan and the West, intelligence agencies exist, even though they may have different names.」

Speaking of which, the intelligence agency in Japan is commonly referred to as ‘ninjas’.

And it seems that Americans have misunderstood and depicted them as super-powered characters like those in comic books.

「But… you know?」

「What’s the matter?」

「Currently, not only wild beasts will be fooled, but even high-level scouts among adventurers cannot detect us.」

「Oh, that’s true.」

「Even trained stealth experts can only do their best to erase their own presence from the outside world.」

「Maybe.」

「Talented individuals take more than ten years of training to master skills like this.」

「Yeah, that’s probably right.」

「But, Lute-kun, you have completely erased the presence of nearly fifty people here.」

Just then, a horde of Ogres rushed full force in front of us. Just a moment ago, the Ogres were exposed to an unreasonable level of violence.
No, even now, the rear of their group was being annihilated with incredible speed, as if cutting butter with a knife.

Their eyes were bloodshot, and their expressions were marked with fear.
Drooling, panting heavily, each of them let out frightened screams, almost in a state of madness.

But that was no surprise.

ーFifty individuals equivalent to B-rank adventurers.

That’s an overwhelmingly powerful force that could easily wipe out small, remote countries.

After all the Ogres left, I clapped my hands.

「The safety of this place has been secured. So, should I go after Lilith soon?」

Cordelia Allston, who had flown out of the fortress, muttered in exasperation at the devastation around her.

「This is just absurd. Seriously, where is that woman using magic from?」

The secret technique of Dragons: God’s Spear, Longinus, was still falling from the sky at regular intervals, like a meteor, with a red shimmer.

The number surpassed twenty, thirty, forty… and reached over fifty, causing Cordelia to stop counting.

In front of Cordelia lay numerous corpses, a macabre scene of death.
Both Ogres and Ogre Generals were being blessed by the hymn of death raining down from the sky.
Brain matter scattered, torsos exploded, and countless organs spread all over the road.

In the first place, the Ogres had completely lost their organization and were in a state of panic due to the spell activated by Lute Mclane, something Cordelia was not aware of.
As they were fleeing to the fort, spears of god suddenly flew down from the sky.

Presently, rather than organized action, they were fleeing chaotically as individuals.

They accurately understood that Cordelia, who was defending the fortress, possessed power equivalent to B-rank-plus adventurers. They knew it was much more likely to survive by dealing with Cordelia head on than against the army approaching from behind.

However, they didn’t know.
Her true form when she went all out without considering the consequences, without conserving her stamina.

ーThe ogres will witness it. The appearance of a Shura that devours demons.

「Well then, shall I get started too?」

Cordelia brushed her vermilion-colored long hair.
Crimson flames lit up in her eyes, and her entire body was enveloped in a blazing red aura.

This meant she had gained full control over her mana rampage.

She began running towards the Ogres charging at her.
Then she swung her sword overheadーA nightmare to the horde of Ogres as the violence came crashing down upon them.

She swung her sword.

Multiple heads flew, and blood gushed out like fountains.

She swung her sword.

Multiple torsos were torn apart, organs spilling or getting blown away.

She swung her sword.

Multiple limbs flew, and the Ogres’ screams echoed.

With each swing of her sword, several Ogres were killed at once.
The sword moves at such a speed that to an onlooker, it appears like a whirlwind, unleashing a storm of bloody red.

In the blink of an eye, a mountain of corpses piled up in her path.

Moreover, it was an utterly one-sided game where not even a single drop of blood splattered on her.
She continued to involve every single demon in the whirlwind of slaughter, charging eastward with incredible speed.

The path she passed through was filled with countless corpses of Ogres and Ogre Generals, and it went without saying, there was not a single living being nor any remnants of one.

Lilith, who summoned the spear of God from the sky, built a mountain of corpses.
Cordelia, who created a storm of fresh blood, also built a mountain of corpses.

Their opponent was by no means weak; and this was precisely why A-rank adventurers were referred to as tactical weapons.

The girl running after Cordelia amidst the sea of corpses muttered in exasperation.

「…Honestly… Being a muscle brain… has a limit.」

The girl—Lilith, until just recently, had used highly advanced optical camouflage magic and other spells to apply stealth.

Cordelia is a type that specializes in close combat without relying on magic even one bit.

Furthermore, Lilith had applied a highly advanced camouflage as part of the dragon’s secret technique.
On top of that, Lilith did not emit any killing intent toward Cordelia.

Due to these factors, Cordelia didn’t notice her.
In reality, however, Lilith had been right next to Cordelia until just a moment ago.

She had been right on the battlefield, hitting Longinus with all her might without anyone noticing.

Currently, Lilith was tasked by Lute to support Cordelia.
Therefore, Lilith needed to keep Cordelia within her visual range, at the very least, so she could adapt to changes in the situation.

That’s why Lilith had been right by Cordelia’s side.

And this fact meant that Lilith had been able to witness Cordelia’s swordsmanship up close.

「I am indeed a sorceress. I don’t have physical abilities… However, this is just…」

Currently, Cordelia was relentlessly running down the road, annihilating the horde of Ogres with incredible speed.
She was supposed to involve everything she could see in her sword dance, but her speed was a bit too unmatched.

Even though Lilith had been running at full speed, she couldn’t catch up; in fact, she was slowly falling behind.
