The liquid that looked like dirty water that was black and cloudy like an old ink was eerily plain. Many small shadows bounce on the surface of the dirty water reflecting the faint light from the moss-covered walls.

As to what those things were, they looked like small mollusks about the size of a fingertip. They looked like leeches, but the evil aura that surrounded them was a clear indicator that they were not any ordinary creatures of this world.

The girl’s breathing stopped in surprise and horror for a moment. However, the putrid smell of the evil leeches relentlessly penetrated through Mikoto’s nostrils and would reach her brain, and a powerful and nauseating dark pressure would soon overcome her.
