CHAPTER 3: A Cruel Torture

It’s been quite a while since Mikoto left the old hospital ward in a hurry.

Sui, who just so happened to have regained her consciousness, realized that her body was restrained and cried out loud in surprise.

And just when I thought that I was getting closer, you two would give me the slip again. Can you imagine just how frightened I was there for a moment? I thought that some really skilled Exorcist came to this hospital in order to dismantle our entire operation.」

With a playful gesture, the Director got closer to Sui, and he brushed his fingers against Sui’s shoulders.

Sui, tied to the delivery table, stiffened her cheeks and vainly twisted her body, deprived of her freedom to move and oppose the man in front of her.

(Th, this person, is he…… is he the bad guy…… the mastermind behind this incident? I have been caught by him…… J-Just what is he going to do to me from now on……?)

But if she was carrying ofuda talismans or any other Exorcist tools and would be properly taught on how to use them, she would still be able to activate them somehow. But she had no formal training, even at a basic level, so it was impossible for her to compete with a real spellcaster in an actual combat situation.

「W-What about Mikoto-chan……!? She was with me at that moment, so what…… What happened to her……!?」

「Huh? Oh, so that’s the one that you’re talking about? Her name is Mikoto, hmm?」

The director, who introduced herself as Hongouin, widened his eyes and then smiled broadly.

「You are no better than an amateur, but she is a good Exorcist, better than the average lot, at the very least.
