Conqueror, You Were… a Creep and a Friend – Part 01
Eu was in the living room, sipping tea from a cup.
The plasma TV, usually playing variety shows, was currently showing a shopping program. It was already past midnight.
Four roast chickens, each wrapped in plastic, sat lined up on the low table. There was a space in the middle, probably for a cake.
Only one person was in the room: the silver-haired girl. She set her teacup on the table and glanced up at me.
“Welcome home.” She held up her notepad, face blank as ever.
I glanced around the room. “Where are Haruna and Sera?”
“Already asleep.”
“Looks like they went to bed first.”
“I see.” Well, it was pretty late. “You’re not sleeping?”
“We haven’t had our Christmas party yet.”
She really would wait forever, wouldn’t she? Such a nice, devoted girl.
Clack. A sound came from above, one I didn’t recognize. I looked up.
