It was around mid-November when the cold had settled in, and I started longing for the kotatsu.

October had the school festival, December had Christmas, but November had nothing in particular, and it always felt like a lull.

For a zombie like me, who preferred laid-back days, it was the perfect month.

Back in September, the after-school hours had been lively with preparations for the cultural festival, but now the classroom felt lonely and quiet.

Looking around, it even seemed like everyone left in the room was lower in energy than usual.
