“What’s with the guns?” a girl asked, the question that was on everyone’s mind.
“It’s just a handicap. Don’t worry, they only shoot beans.”
Well, if it was just a game of tag, the boys would probably win on sheer physical ability.
“And if you get hit, what happens? Any rule for that?”
“Nothing… but it hurts like hell,” Haruna said gravely, like a kamikaze pilot. She didn’t even smile.
“Do beans even hurt that much?” a boy scoffed.
I agreed.
“All right, time’s up. Let’s start!” Haruna clapped impatiently, and instantly, beans rained down like a horizontal downpour.
Ratatatatat! The rapid fire was insane.
Bean guns are not to be underestimated. Getting hit by beans flying hundreds of meters per second would hurt like a motherfucker.
We demons didn’t just fail to tag the girls. We scattered in all directions.
