You’re Dunce, Huh? – Part 01

During the New Year holidays, I usually spent the three days lounging under the kotatsu, lazily watching the long-distance relay race on TV.

But this year was different.

Apparently, I was the only one who wanted to stay home watching the race, because things turned out surprisingly lively.

We were at an amusement center I often went to, the one with the bowling alley. Inside was a skating rink with a flat white ceiling and spotless white walls that gave off a clean, bright feel.

I’d loved skating since I was a kid and used to come here often, though it seemed like fewer people came these days. Maybe skiing and snowboarding had taken over as the go-to winter sports.

Still, today the place was bustling. Maybe figure skating’s growing popularity had something to do with it.

“Wheeeeee!” Haruna dove straight into the rink.

“Haruna.” Sera chased after her.
