In the end, we showed up an hour and a half earlier than our reservation time, but it didn’t seem to be a problem.

Apparently, they hold the seat from the moment the restaurant opens, and if the place fills up, they sometimes guide other customers to that seat until the reservation time.

That’s what happened when I came with Tomonori. It’s one of those perks regulars get.

So basically, we were welcome anytime from opening.

“There’s no time limit, so please take your time,” the waitress said with a smile and led us to a fairly large tatami room, probably meant for parties.

There was a long table that looked like two tables pushed together.

Oh, so they combined two four-person tables. And since there were only six of us, the space felt even bigger.

I liked this relaxed atmosphere.
