Her pure white skin began to shine, and her heart began to beat as fast as Izayoi’s after his mad dash through the forest, if not even faster. Seeing that, Homura hurriedly got up from the floor and touched the girl’s arm. He immediately noticed that something was very wrong with her, and shouted while gritting his teeth:

「A meltdown?!! How is that possible?!!!! I definitely removed the B.D.A from her!」

「But you said yourself that this was an external device placed in the handcuffs molded with the skin on her hands, right?! Maybe there is another device that is embedded directly into her body?!」

「There might be, but why would they go so far?! For what reason were they tampering with her body so much?!」

「Oh trust me, there is a fuckload of reasons, the most obvious of them being that if they cannot use the girls for the purpose of performing their experiments, then they have no further use of them, meaning that they are nothing more than loose ends, evidence to be destroyed!」

Homura gasped in shock, finally understanding what Krishna meant with his ominous words:

「We do not have much time left.」

What he was talking about was not the time until the occurrence of the catastrophic eruption, but the time of destroying the evidence of the experiments by triggering the meltdown reaction inside of their bodies. If the Albino girls who are the current hosts of the Star Particle Bodies will die, then the whole operation with cultivation and multiplication of new Star Particle Bodies will grind to a screeching halt. But to think that the ones responsible for performing those experiments on them would be willing to go so far as to literally cause their bodies to melt in case they would ever lose possession of them just to get rid of any kind of evidence. . . . so they were really fighting against time, in the very literal sense. And if Homura and Izayoi want to save them, they will have to fight an even more uneven battle against it, because if they do nothing and simply allow this girl here to disappear, then any hope for humanity to have a future would become jeopardized.

「B. . . But to think. . . going so far just to keep the evidence from leaking out to the outside world. . . WHAT FUCKING PIECES OF HUMAN TRASH ARE THEY. . . . . . ?!!!!」

「Look, if you want to throw swears at them then be my guest, I will gladly join in on it, but can you try to do something about this first?! To begin with, is there anything we can do?!」

「. . . . . I. . . . . . I really do not know! I . . . . I . . . . . .」

When he grabbed the girl’s hand, he could not feel any kind of heat at all. There is no doubt that this heat she is emitting has to be a pseudo-emission caused by the Star Particle Bodies. However, no matter how much Homura wanted to help this girl, he did not see anything that could be done to stop her body from melting down, because his research of the B.D.A was still only halfway through and he did not have all of the data necessary to properly finish it, and it made him go into a sudden panic attack. . . but then Izayoi grabbed his head with both his hands, twisted it so that he would be looking right into his eyes and then told him in a calm voice.:

「Okay. First thing’s first: you have to calm down. This phenomenon is caused by the superacceleration of the nanomachines in that girl’s body, right? Then in that case, is there anything we can do to slow this superacceleration down?」

「Slowing it down is impossible. The quickest way to remove the B.D.A from the patients bloodstream would be to drain the blood from it, but in order to be absolutely sure that there will be none of it left, we would have to drain the blood in its entirety, and I hope I do not have to remind you that such a procedure can be extremely dangerous even for the healthiest of patients? The other method or if that fails would be to remove the Star Particle Bodies directly by trying the consumption route, but if we opted for that, we would have to extract the lethal amount of them.」
「Sounds dangerous as hell, but beggars cannot be choosers, right? Okay, consumption route it is then. Then how are we supposed to consume all of the Star Particle Bodies inside of her without triggering the meltdown even faster?」

As the phenomenon of the girl’s luminescence gradually grow stronger, Izayoi asked Homura what they would have to do to make that method work. Even in the face of such a crisis, he still remained calm and collected, and perhaps it was exactly that calmness of his that made Homura calm down himself to the point where he could think clearly again. He placed his hand on his chin in order to focus and racked his brain for any information that might prove useful . . . . . and then an idea came to him when he scanned his surroundings and his eyes fell onto the Albino girl’s hands, or to be more specific, her bandaged wrists. Smiling bitterly, he took out his Gift Card and summoned the handcuffs that he freed her from and produced them from within it, after which he threw them at Izayoi while putting on a pair of stretchable surgical gloves, which made Izayoi tilt his head in confusion.

「And. . . what is this and what do you want to do with it?」

「I told you back at the city remember? These handcuffs were combined with the Blood Particle Accelerator to act as the external source of Star Particle Bodies for the experimental subjects by circulating them at a constant velocity. When used, it causes the Star Particle Bodies to undergo superfluidity inside of the host’s body beyond the limitations of the material world and 「the definition of one second」. We are going to use that to consume the Star Particle Bodies inside of this girl’s body in an instant.」

「The definition of one second」is a field that can be defined in various ways, but in the context of the research of Star Particle Bodies it is defined as the frequency of 32,768 kHz, used mainly in watches. This frequency refers to the frequency that quartz watches use to measure one second, and the one generated when the electromagnetic waves are applied to the crystal stones embedded in the watches. So far it has been clarified that Star Particle Bodies respond to this 「definition of one second」which causes them to course through the body of the host they are parasiting on at the constant velocity of three hundred and thirty thousand rotations. This marvelous property is what makes Star Particle Bodies function as the Third Energy Medium that is not bound by the First and Second Energies, because making full use of this of this 「definition of one second」which surpasses the concepts of time and the rules of the law of light propagation allows them to achieve the constant velocity motion. . . .. . . . . and this is also the reason why it is called the Third Perpetual Motion, a phenomenon that makes it possible to observe the multidimensional momentum required for the manifestation of fictitious particles and Ether in the material world.

「If my hypothesis is correct, the our bodies, which have been exposed to the Star Particle Bodies since the embryonal stage should have much more developed blood pathways and circulatory system than the other experimental subjects. So in theory, we should be able to use the B.D.A while treating us as an external accelerator. . . . . . . . .」

「In order to consume the Star Particle Bodies that are inside of that girl in an instant. That is cool and all, but what if we fail?」

「We are going to have our bodies undergo a meltdown, just like her.」

Homura placed one B.D.A on the girl’s left wrist, all the while waves of cold sweat were pouring down his back. Izayoi, who placed another B.D.A on her right wrist held her hand and smiled as if that situation was a great source of amusement for him.

「Hahaha, this shit is just getting better and better by the minute. Numbingly so. And by the way, what exactly happens if we manage to succeed?」
