Chapter 4

A few hours ago, when Homura and Suzuka took the unconscious Izayoi back to the village of the natives so that he could have his well-deserved rest, putting aside the fact that it has been forced upon him by Kasukabe You’s punch to his gut.

Mikado Tokuteru also went to the village with Homura’s group and decided to stay there for the time being so that he could keep watch over Krishna, and also so that he could give more of an explanation about what was currently going on in Little Garden to Homura and Suzuka, since now that they have gotten themselves involved in the battle with Krishna and 「The King of Murderous Species」, they would no doubt have questions that they would like to know the answers to. Fortunately, it was also a good occasion for Homura to also let Tokuteru know about what he had learned from Krishna in relation to what was currently happening in the Outer World and about the time limit that has been placed upon them if they want to make sure that humanity is going to be able to avoid the future of ultimate ruin befalling them.

There was literally no time to waste for them. If they want to save humanity from ruin, then the research on The Star Particle Bodies and the building and implementation of Environmental Control Towers across the entire world needs to be finalized in fifteen years from now, and turning those plans into reality was Homura’s and Izayoi’s job, and him getting to know more about Little Garden and how things are ran here might just give him enough information to help him in his mission of saving Outer world and the future of humanity in some way. So while Homura and Tokuteru were off to have their very serious talk about even more serious topics. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Kuro Usagi and Suzuka decided to hit the public bath together.

「Bath~~. . . . . . bath~~ . . . . .Bath~~. . . . . a very, very big bath~~. . . . . . Taking a nice bath with everyone~~. . . . . . . . . enjoying some naked skinship~~. . . . . . lalala~~ . . . . . . .」

「N-No, stop! It is too hot, I do not like it . . . . . . !」

「Fufufu~~ well, that is exactly the point! baths are supposed to be enjoyed while the water is still hot, after all. 」

When the two of them got back to the village they woke the black Albino girl up and dragged her out of the hut in which she was sleeping, taking her to the bathhouse along with them, and now that the entire tub has been filled with hot water almost to the point of overflowing, Suzuka was playfully splashing it onto the girl’s face.

「Tei!」

「Kyaaah. . . . . . . . . . . ! ! ! ! !」

「Geez, you cannot just go wild like that just because you do not like hot water! You are a girl, and a girl absolutely cannot have such messy, unwashed hair all the time, so we are going to help you take proper care of it! All right, it is time for me to show you my skills as the one who was responsible for making sure that all of the kids from 『No Name』 would maintain proper hygene for all these years!」
「Ohhhh~~!!! If that is what we are doing here, then you bet that I am going to help! Kuro Usagi, you handle the tips of her hair, and I am going to take care of the base of the head!」

And with that, Kuro Usagi and Suzuka grabbed a firm hold of the girl and began to wash her hair thoroughly.

The reason for why they brough her in with them was because they could see with just a glance that she did not have a proper bath for what must have been a pretty long time. At the beginning the girl was thrashing around and protesting, but the longer the washing of her head went on, the more she was noticing that it actually felt pretty nice, so in the end she just stopped struggling and allowed the girls to do their thing.

This large, public bathhouse has apparently been constructed by channeling the water from the natural hot springs from the nearby mountains right here to the village, so the water had a faint scent of mountains and forests, which made it feel all the more comfortable, and by the time Kuro Usagi and Suzuka were done washing her, the black Albino girl was wrapped up in the soothing scent of the wilderness from top to bottom.

「Fuhaaa. . . . . ~~ There, all done! But man, I already forgot that forcibly washing little kids when they do not want to to it themselves could be so tiring.」

「YES! It most definitely is! Do you also had experiences with washing the little ones, Miss Suzuka?」

「Basically, yeah. The orphanage where Homura and I live accepts children of any age and from across all walks of life, so at one point it basically became a necessity. After all, it is a policy of Canaria Family Home to accept anyone who ends up there, regardless of what their circumstances might be. But, the thing is, because of that attitude most of our sponsors threated it as nothing more but a gathering ground for the problem children that nobody else wanted to have anything to do with. That being said, even though it really was filled with problem children, we still had to find a way for all of us to get by and get along, as one of the oldest kids there, I told myself that I will do anything to help the younger residents as much as possible, since they are all basically my younger brothers and sisters!」

「That is, well. . . . . . . . you must have had it pretty rough, did you not?」

Kuro Usagi said while looking at Suzuka with a smile.

Since Kuro Usagi had to protect everyone in 『No Name』 after Canaria’s passing and the destruction of the Community by the Demon Lords, then she felt that she could emphasize with the struggles that Suzuka must have been going through, because it was almost exactly the same with her.

Looking completely exhausted after they washed her hair for her, the Albino girl las simply resting on Suzuka’s lap with her head resting on her chest. Combing her head from behind, Suzuka touched her cheeks and caressed them lightly.

「By the way, I hope you will not mind me asking that, but. . . .  what is your name? And where are you from?」

「. . . . . . .  」

The Albino girl did not answer Suzuka’s questions and simply looked away from her. It would seem that it is still too early to be asking her questions like that, because she is most likely still wary of everyone and everything around her, but Suzuka did not hold that against her, because she was already used to seeing such behaviors. After all, it was not at all uncommon for the kids who first came to Canaria Family Home to keep their hearts closed to the contact with others after they suffered neglect by their parents and society rejected them altogether, so she was used to dealing with such troubled cases and she was used to engaging in skinship with both boys and girls, because she knew that in truth they wanted someone to be close to and the important thing in interacting with them was showing them that you are not going to abandon them and wound their hearts even further.

Then, Suzuka remembered how Izayoi mentioned to them that this girl was clutching onto his jacket even in her sleep and refused to let it go no matter what, so if there was anyone who this girl would trust, then it would definitely be Izayoi.

「Say, I heard that Big Bro Iza helped you out a ton. When he wakes up from his regeneration nap, maybe we should all go thank him?」
