「You may, but allow me to clarify one thing first. While it is true that I think that these people are absolutely vital for our plans to proceed along their intended course, I know and trust only one of those three, and I have never even met the other two.」

「Oi, you never even met the people to whom you want to send letters two, and you still have the guts to not only do that, but you are also using me as your personal carrier pidgeon? What the hell, Homura?!」

「I am going to explain that to you later. First and foremost, I want you to focus on delivering the letter to the third person, because he is our mutual acquaintance, a businessman whom both you and I know very well.」
When Homura mentioned that this businessman was supposed to be someone whom Tokuteru knew as well, it made him cross his hands on his chest think about it, since the number of such people known to both him and Homura was severely limited.

「Someone so vital to your plan of saving humanity that without his support the plan is doomed to fail who is also a businessman that both you and I are acquainted with. . . . . . . . . hmm? Could you be talking about the CEO of Everything Company?」

「Yes, exactly. After all, he is not only Lady Ayato’s father, but also one of my benefactors who has been engaged in the promotion and expansion of the Star Particle Bodies research for a long time now, and to top it all of, he is also one of the few people who has already expressed not only his interest, but also an agreement to and support of the plan to build Environmental Control Towers across the world. I also plan to make him our connection with other important individuals in the business field of The Outer World, and because of that, we have to protect him at all costs, even if it was to be the last thing we would do in our lives.」

Kudou Ayato’s father, the CEO of Everything Company was just as important to the research of Star Particle Bodies as Homura and his father were, because if it was not for him and his financial and logistical support none of it would have even started to begin with, so yes, in that regard it can definitely be said that he is the most important from among all of the key figures in Homura’s and Izayoi’s plan of saving the world, and that it would be catastrophic for them if they were ever to lose him for whatever reason.

「However, there is one problem with him. . . . .  the evidence pointing to it at the current moment is circumstantial at best, but the possibility that Lady Ayato’s father might be one of our enemies in the Outer World. I do not know if he is the source, but there definitely is someone who is leaking the information about Star Particle Bodies out from Everything Company to the outside, so if at all possible, I would like you to assign someone who would protect him at all times, but also for that someone to be a person skilled in both tailing and investigating so that they could determine if he is really one of our enemies or not.」

「Okay. If this is what you want, then I will assign one of my very best people from among the 『Twelve Devas』 for this job. Originally I was planning to have them participate in the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority on our behalf, but due to various reasons outside of my control they had to abstain from participation. If you are fine with someone like that, then I can order him to begin as soon ads possible.」

Tokuteru then nodded in a powerful way. Usually he behaved like someone who you would never want to entrust with anything that involved either money or huge amounts of responsibility, but he could and was more than willing to act like a proper God whenever it counted the most. So when he was saying that Homura can go and leave the protection of the most important figure for their plan to him, you could be sure that he was going to go above and beyond to meet the expectations of the client who has entrusted him with such an important mission.

In the meantime, Izayoi placed his hand on his chin and mulled over Homura’s choice of one of his key figures.

「Someone who is going to provide financial support and promote the construction of the Environmental Control Towers across the entire world, huh? . . . .  Certainly, considering the end goal that we want to achieve here, it is perfectly reasonable to be holding someone like that in the highest of esteems. If it was up to me, then I would have divided the three people into separate categories and picked my options based on them: 「Promoter of the Plan」, 「Provider of Financial Resources」and last by not least, 「The World’s Highest Authority」.

「「The World’s Highest Authority」? Is someone like that really necessary to save the world?」

Kuro Usagi, who was listening to everything that the rest was talking about intently asked her question while tilting her head. In response, Izayoi shook his head and laughed with his usual 「Yahaha!」

「Oh Kuro Usagi, my sweet, naive summer child, never change. When it comes to Authority, it is always better to have it on your side than not have it on your side. In the case of the plan to build the Environmental Control Towers around the world, those things could be: renting the plots of land for the construction of the towers, raising funds for the cause and many, many more. Also, having authority on your side eliminates a large portion of potential problems that you would have to deal with otherwise. Right, Homura?」

「Yes, even more so since our ultimate goal is to build enough Environmental Control Towers to make sure that Star Particle Bodies would reach every corner of the world. It is more than obvious that our initiative is going to be met with fierce opposition movements advocating that our solution cannot be allowed to be implemented due to religious regions or because it is still unknow exactly what kind of effects Star Particle Bodies are going to have on the human bodies. Granted, with the figure possessing the highest forms of authority on earth backing us it is still going to be impossible to convince everyone to the solution that we are proposing, but at the very least we should be able to garner at least some amount of social and political acceptance to us that should allow us to ease up at least a bit of the social tensions that are bound to arise.」

At this point, Suzuka nodded at Homura’s words and joined in on the discussion as well.

「I see, something like that definitely makes sense. After all, unlike us, most of the people are not going to be aware of what Star Particle Bodies actually are. To them, they are just going to be some mysterious, unknown substances that a bunch of nutjobs is going to try to shove down their throats without giving them even the least bit of an explanation as to why and what for, and I can already see that the number of people who are going to try to willingly learn what they are and what their purpose is going to be will be overwhelmingly small. In other words, you want someone who possesses great authority at your side so that they could personally vouch for the Star Particle Bodies’ safety of usage?」

「Bullseye.」

「O-Oh. . . . .I see. Then I guess that this would be a similar practice to what sometimes happens here in Little Garden, where the populace can accept even the craziest of things with a relative peace of mind for as long as the figures of definitive authority such as Floor Masters, Divine Spirits and Celestial Star Spirits will guarantee that there is nothing for them to worry about. . . . . . . . no, wait, in fact, these two practices are exactly the same!」

「Well, I guess you could say that. . . . . that being said, the level of authority and influence that is going to be required for what we want to achieve is being held by three people around the entire world at best, and only one person at worst.」
