「But you know, she probably did not know his name at that time, so it might be possible that if we take her to him now, it might only make things more awkward for him than they need to be. Not to mention that she is probably confused because she does not know how to address us either, so maybe we could start from teaching you our own names so that we would not feel like strangers anymore? What do you say?」

Kuro Usagi proposed while Suzuka kept on squeezing the girl’s soft and squishy cheeks. Since the girl did not protest or told her to stop doing that, then it has to mean that she was actually okay with it and did not dislike that. For a moment she looked as if she was thinking about something really hard or battled with her own thoughts, but then she finally spoke a single word with a quiet voice:

「. . . . Seven.」

「Hmm?」

「Seven. That is what all of the scary adults at the facility called me, but I do not think that this is my actual name. That, or they referred to me by a number: seven hundred seventy three.」

The Albino girl said while casting her eyes down, most likely because she was embarrassed that she did not have any cuter-sounding name.

When they heard that, Kuro Usagi’s and Suzuka’s faces froze and they squeezed their lips hard, realizing how hard life must have been for this girl up until now even though she looked so young. Perhaps 「Seven」was her personal identification number as one of the subjects in the experiments with Star Particle Bodies? Not even caring to give her a name, leaving her only with an identification number with no sense of identity to it at all . . . . . . . . . no matter how you looked at it, it was just too cruel. Whoever the ones who operated the facility in which she was being held were, they did not see her as a proper human being that would need a name. To them, she was nothing more but just another guinea pig to be used and then discarded once her usefulness would come to an end, and the only choices she had for herself were to become a research material, a piece of meat that one of those deranged cannibals would consume or meet an even more terrifying fate after being sold to become some sick deviant’s private pet.

「I see. So, you think it us not cute at all, huh? Well. . . .  you are right. Seven is not a cute name fit for a nice girl such as you.」

「U, un. . . .」

「Rather than being cute, I would say that this is more of a cool name, you know? That is why I am sure that boys would not mind having a name like that, but I think that we can both agree that such a name is definitely unfit for a girl. Also. . . . . . . . . yeah, seven hundred seventy three or seven-seven-three are also absolutely out of the question. But then, is there something we can come up with that would befit you? And it also has to be something meaningful, because Miss Canaria would often say that when you are assuming a new identity and give yourself a new name, picking something at random without any personal connection would defeat the purpose of the process entirely.」

Suzuka began thinking hard with her hand on her chin. She then proceeded to write the characters on the palm of her hand and then memorizing them, all so that she could create potential names from them through the good old method of trial and error. Eventually, a fter a few good minutes have passed, she grinned happily from ear to ear, pleased with the results that she has apparently arrived at.

「All right, I think I managed to come up with a number of pretty good name candidates, so we should discuss them al later. And do not worry, Big Sis promises to find you the one that is going to be both cool and cute at the same time!」

「Cool and cute. . . . . . . at the same time?」

「Yes, cool and cute at the same time, because these are the best names there could ever be!」

Suzuka declared while hugging the Albino girl from behind. And when she did, she did not feel any kind of tension or wariness from her anymore, which must mean that she must have accepted that Suzuka is not someone dangerous and that she is not going to hurt her. Kuro Usagi smiled at that lovely sight, but then she noticed that the girl’s face was beginning to get a little bit red.

「Good heavens, we must have been here longer than we originally intended. Should we be leaving soon, Miss Suzuka? By the time we will be done here, I think Mr. Homura and Lord Indra should be done with their own conversation as well.」

「Roger that! We are going to get out. . . . . . . but not until I get to brush these lovely hair of yours next!」

「Ehhh?!」

「I know this might be sudden, but just relax and let us do it to you! As long as you are in our care, there in no way that we are going to allow a beauty such as you to not look as pretty as you could be! Taking care of your own appearance is extremely important, so you would do well to remember that, okay?」

After leaving tha bathtub, Kuro Usagi and Suzuka proceeded to comb the Albino girl’s hair with wooden brushes. But as soon as the brushed made of the bark of the Giant Tree of Underwood touched the girl’s hair, its strands, which were rough and hard only a few moments before gradually became fluffy to the touch and so shone with a luster that almost made them look as if they were transparent, to which Suzuka’s Eyes became round with surprise.

「Whoa. . . . . . . . . . . ! This is so amazing that I just cannot even. . . . . . . ! It is as if the skin on your head and your hair were literally regenerated!」
「Fufufu, right? Right?! Amazing, is it not? This is one of Kuro Usagi’s most treasured possessions, a gift that I have received from Asuka during the Harvest Festival in Underwood! It is a wondrous brush that not only combs the hair to make it prettier than they were ever before, but it can also remove excess oils, straighten the hair that are unwantedly wavy or curly and it can even replenish the water and nutrients that the heir were lacking!」

「Holy Cow, this really is one heck of an amazing brush! Now this is definitely something that I would like to have back home with me for daily usage. Kuro Usagi, you definitely have to tell me more about it later!」

Knowing what kind of a great treasure she was holding in her hands now, Suzuka proceeded to comb the Albino girl’s hair with even greater determination than before. Every time she combed her pure-white hair, the split ends were coming back together and being trimmed properly and they were regaining their soft and powerful color and texture that made them look like the strands of the most expensive silk possible.

When she noticed what was happening to her, the eyes of the Albino girl also became big and widely opened. Could it be that she has never had her hair combed, trimmed and cut much in the same way as she probably never had them washed properly, which made so distrustful of the bathtub in the very beginning of their bathhouse escapade? The answer to all these questions was most likely yes. She was a test subject who was not treated like a human being after all, so her captors probably did not even think it necessary for their guinea pigs to maintain the minimum amount of personal hygiene affordable to them, and that is why she did not know how to properly wash and clean herself while in the bath, leaving Suzuka and Kuro Usagi to do it for her instead.

After she was done combing her hair, Suzuka took the polka-dot scrunchie that she usually used to tie her own hair into a ponytail and used it on the girl instead.
