They talked about it the night before he and his friends headed out for Underwood, when they talked about it when he took a bath together with Leticia and the Kitsune Lily.

「If that is the case, then would that not mean that The Pureblood Dragons are the strongest of the races that are outside of the laws of Little Garden? And also, what is the relationship between 『Origin』 Candidates and the people from 『Uroboros Demon Lord Alliance』 whom we met?」

Homura gathered all of the information that he could with the face of a child that has been completely absorbed into fitting all of the pieces of a very difficult puzzle together. He probably should not treat this as a source of fun and entertainment, but he just could not help himself. And the item that got his particular attention, so much so that he was unknowingly tapping it with the pen that he was holding over and over again was 『Origin』 Candidates.

「Back in the Outer World we have this one saying, or more of a philosophical riddle I guess: what came first, the egg, or the chicken? However, I feel like in this particular case we might change it a little to ask the following question: who came first, the Gods, or humans? However, this particular issue is of no importance to us for the time being, because it has already been established here that the nature of the relationship between these two groups is the one of mutual observers. But no matter what we might think about that in relation to our current situation, the best equivalent to use here that I can think of would be the Quantum Monism theory, but since so far the existence of 『Origin』 Candidates has only been confirmed on the side of humanity, then maybe the better one to use here would be the dualism theory? But then, should we assume that in this case 「Observation」does not refer to energy itself, but rather that it treats it as an energy unit? Does that make any sense or am I readying too much into it?」

Homura then proceeded to write a large number of complicated mathematical formulas on another piece of parchment in a very short time.

「If we assume this line of thinking, then the thing that I am the most curious about are these Pureblood Dragons species. Unlike Celestial Star Spirits, they do not establish their existence by the confirmation of their mass, and they are not humanity’s mutual observers like Divine Spirits. Moreover, they seem to be capable of observing the flow of time from the third point and are also capable of manifesting themselves in the world of Little Garden as individual entities. . . . . . . . . . . ahhh, I see! In that case, would the true identity of the Pureblood Dragons not be 「The external existence with the power of self-observation」?」

「Ohhhh. . . . .  .! ! !」

Impressed at the direction in which Homura’s thought process was going, Tokuteru clasped both of his hands together.

「. . . . That would make them the kind of life forms that can autonomously create their own existence out of nothing by utilizing the energy from the world that surrounds them without any prior warning, and the fact that an observer is unnecessary in order for them to do so would make them completely separated from any cause and effect rules that make up our world. And if an existence can be established just by using self-observation, then it will continue to exist forever without any loss of power whatsoever and it will be able to continue to grow and expand for all eternity.」

The species capable of doing something like that definitely deserved to be counted among the strongest species of Little Garden. The only thing that would make them inferior to the species that are at the absolute peak of Little Garden, Celestial Star Spirits would be the fact that Pureblood Dragons still needed to grow into full maturity from the juvenile forms they have been born into, while Celestial Star Spirits who are supposedly born already matured with perfect bodies.

As they were listening to what Homura and Tokuteru were talking about from the sidelines, Kuro Usagi and Suzuka continued to have a large number of question marks pop up all around their heads.

「Umumu. . .  you know what, Bro? I feel like you are talking about some very important things, but to be completely honest with you, once again you have used so many difficult-sounding words one right after the other that I did not understand most of what you were saying, so could you please try to dumb it all down sufficiently so that I could grasp the general gist of that small lecture of yours?」

「I understand how you feel, Sis, but could you please wait for a few more minutes until I am done? Great. So anyway, as I was saying. . . . . hey, Tokuteru, are you listening to me as well? I will repeat myself as many times as possible if Suzuka asks for it, but there will be no such treatment for you! Now, based on what you told me, the 「Presence Probability」and 「Presence Density」that form the Divinity are dependent on the flow of time, but if what we discussed so far is really true, then there should be a number of easy ways to assort it.」

「Such as. . . . . . . . ?」

「Such a deciphering how to properly analyze 「Host Master Authority」. Although there is definitely some mysterious power involved in the process of its origin, we just have to analyze it one step at a time while trying to unveil as many of its mysteries as possible, but I think that with what we currently know, we can assume that there exist at least two separate worlds: the one in which Gods can interfere with the world, and the other one in which the Gods cannot interfere with the world, right?」

「Yes. That interpretation of yours is almost certainly a valid one.」

「Good. So, in other words, that would mean that a this point the probability of the Gods’ existence is divided by half . . . . . . . . . . . . . meaning that no matter how good their position in Little Garden is going to be, they are only going to possess fifty percent of the Divinity they could actually hold, right?!」

「Wh. . . . .  What did you just say? ! ! ! !」

Kuro Usagi appeared to be so shocked by what Homura just said that her rabbit ears stood perfectly straight, and caused Suzuka to start seriously thinking if it actually hurt her whenever something like that was happening go them, and also if these were her ears that were responsible for hearing, or were they perhaps nothing more but a decoration that could be detached whenever she wanted?

Going back to Kuro Usagi and why was she so shocked though. . . . . . could it really be possible that all of the Gods of Little Garden, many of whom possessed powers beyond rational understanding like clairvoyance, omnipotence or enough destructive power to destroy the world twice if they only wished to do so could only use about half of their true power even without the bindings and restraints placed upon them at the moment when they decided to live in Little Garden? Tokuteru simply nodded at Homura’s hypothesis without openly denying it.

「Yes. You could say that these are the chains that bind us Gods, and it is the role of humanity’s {Origin} Candidates to act as a wedge that holds these chains firmly in place.」

「The ability that is granted to those who possess the 「Host Master Authority」, the ability to host Gift Games and decide their rules however they see fit has to come from the ritual in which the probability of existence of the Host Master is increased to one hundred percent. It is a ritual that is meant to allow human beings to observe the Divine Spirits whom they would normally would not be able to perceive and to make sure that the definitions of the ends of the world for both Divine Spirits and humans remain the exact same.

By using this method, the probability of existence of the Divine Spirit with the 「Host Master Authority」is increased to one hundred percent in all of the universes where it exists.
