Homura spread another piece of parchment before him and then beckoned the other three to his side, this time pointing at the entry titled 「Divine Spirits」with his pen this time.

「I believe that I have gathered all the information that I needed, so I t6hink it is high time to start coming up with concrete ideas.」

「Concrete. . . . . . . . ideas?」

「Yes. Concrete ideas for a plan to save the world.」

「Okay, but. . . . . . . . are you really sure this is going to be enough, Bro? You are planning to build a lot of Environmental Control Towers all over the entire world, which already sounds like both a monumental and ridiculously difficult undertaking. Do you not think that something like that is going to be impossible to achieve with just us?」

Suzuka asked while looking at Homura with an uneasy expression on her face. But she was not the only one who was worrying about whether he would be able to achieve the goal that he set for himself. The difficulty of the challenge that was yet before him was obvious to pretty much everyone, so Suzuka thought that maybe it would be better to leave the actual execution of the plan in the hands of bigger, more powerful individuals and organizations than them, and Homura perfectly understood why she would want to take such a course of action, but he simply shook his head at her suggestion with a rugged face.

「I am afraid that at this point it is absolutely out of the question. After all, we have pretty much nothing that we could base our work on, so we are forced to start building pretty much from scratch. And before you ask, no, I do not think we can count on the help of any international organizations either.」

「We cannot? Why is that?」

「Because of that Albino girl we are protecting right now. Apparently the ones who were using her and her fellow Albinos as test subjects in the Star Particle Bodies research were the members of some big, international organization.」

「「. . . . . . . . . . . . Huh?!」」

Both Suzuka and Kuro Usagi raised the voices of utter shock after it took them a moment to properly process what they just heard, and even then, there were parts of her that refused to believe what Homura just said on the spot. But out of the two of them, Suzuka looked as if she took a much harder hit than Kuro Usagi, because she looked as if all the light and color disappeared from her face and eyes, and all of that because she remembered how peaceful the girl looked when she was sleeping next to Izayoi and how adorable she was when she was washing and combing her hair, so the thought that an entire organization with international reach was responsible for hurting someone as innocent and defenseless as her any many other kids just like her, it proved too much for her to bear.

「N-Now wait just a second! An entire international organization was responsible for turning that girl and others like her into test subjects for their experiments?! S-So you are telling me that actual people decided to do something so horrible to a little child whom they treated like an object, not even having enough empathy to give her an actual name when she was born?! Is that what you are trying to say?!」

「I am afraid that this is indeed what I am trying to say, yes.」

「I . . . . . . I do not. . . . . . I just cannot believe this. An entire organization, buying or kidnapping Albino people just so they could turn them into test subjects for their research? I thought that organizations like that and the countries that support them were supposed to be a thing of the past! Why would anybody be willing to do something so monstrous in the modern day, where we humans continue to proclaim that we are done repeating the mistakes of the past?!」

「I understand how you feel, but that is not all. It is more than likely that the same organization that is responsible for the experiments on the Albino people was also responsible for the creation of {The Bull of Heaven} and causing of 「{The Bull of Heaven} Incident」. Now, do bear in mind that this what I am about to say is purely my own speculation without any kind of proof to back it up, but I think it might be possible that The United Nations might have orchestrated the entire thing from the shadows.」

Even though Homura said that this was only his own speculation, it still caused Suzuka to become so shocked that she was literally speechless. But when she thought back to all of the incidents that have been taking place throughout the last few months, she could not think of anything else that would have fitted the bill more perfectly than Homura’s hypothetical worst-case scenario. First, there was the appearance of the {Bull of Heaven}, a natural disaster in the form of a monstrous bull whose intentions were completely unclear as it continued to move throughout the world, leaving nothing but destruction and ruin in its wake. Then that very same natural disaster that has already cause millions of dollars of damage began to spread a mysterious pathogen around the entire world, adding the threat of a global pandemic and famine to its already existing threat, which has then skyrocketed off the charts. And then. . . . . . . .

And then there was the extermination of the {Bull of Heaven’s} smallpox virus thanks to the implementation of The Star Particle Bodies that gathered a huge amount of recognition and attention from the general public for achieving what no other preventive measure could have accomplished before even though no efforts and resources were spared in trying to come up with a vaccine, so thinking about it from such an angle, it would definitely not be impossible for some organization to do all of those horrible things on purpose if their end goal that they were aiming for was to make Star Particle Bodies as famous as possible.

「Now, if my worst-case scenario turned out to be true and the culprit behind all of those incidents was indeed a single organization, then it would have to be the one with enormous international reach and power and an even greater financial backing. And if those are the criteria we are choosing to go by, then the country or an organization that is in close contacts with the UN is the most obvious choice.」

「S-Seriously . . . . .  then, if that indeed turns out to be the case, then do we really have any chance of winning against an organization or a country like that? No, forget winning, would we even have the smallest shred of a fighting chance against an opponent of such caliber?」

「To be completely honest with you. . . . .  I honestly do not know. However, depending on how the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority is going to progress, we might just be able to establish a connection with someone who might possess a lot of influence over one of the UN-affiliated agencies.」

「Depending on The 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority’s progress? Someone with influence? This competition can actually give us an advantage like that? And who would that someone be, exactly?」

「The person who was a role model for the Ophiuchus, The Serpent Bearer constellation: Asclepios the Snake Charmer himself.」

Asclepios of the Ophiuchus constellation. . . . . one of the heroes of the Greek Mythology and a God of Medicine fathered by the Sun God Apollo himself, a legendary medic who is said to have given rise to the practice of medical care and treatment, which have been evolving and improving over countless years to develop into the medical practice as we all know it today. But if it was him, then Suzuka could definitely see why he of all mythological figures would be the one holding the influence over some parts of the United Nations, so she leaned towards Homura with excitement, and he nodded back at her while taking out his phone and swiping back to one of the images that he had saved on it.

「I heard about it before when I was talking to Queen Halloween back on the Giant Spirit Train. That if some organizations from the Outer World end up using a mythological symbol from the past as their logo, or their flag if you prefer, they might leave themselves vulnerable to the influence of the God or a deity who was the original owner of the symbol that they are using. So if that story of hers turns out to be truth, and there is a good dosage of probability that it will, then we might be able to have some influence if we manage to obtain the Sun Authority of the constellation that corresponds to the flag and symbol that one of the organizations of the United Nations uses as its own logo.」
