Final Exams and School Festival

It’s a tradition at Ifurus Magic School to hold a festival after the promotion exam in October.

By the way, admission to the Magic School begins in January.

Glendale doesn’t have the regular four seasons.

It occasionally snows due to the Blizzard dragon flying in, but generally, its climate is warm all year round.

The school entrance ceremony is commonly held in January, which was a pleasant month to start off the new school year, and the already enrolled students get their grades changed.

The promotion exam has the reputation of being difficult, however, it was child’s play to me and everyone in our class.

The promotion exam consists of two parts, one is a written test on the subject of Magic, the other is a practical exam, where we fight one-on-one against a teacher who plays the role of the examiner, the purpose of this exam is to show off what we learned the past year and display our skills.

Since the only teacher who was at our level was Tina, we got exempted from the practical test.

To prevent cheating, teachers weren’t allowed to be examiners for their own classes.

All the school had similar questions and there was an abundant number of them.

There were many questions in the exam that you won’t learn in the lower grades but if you gain points where you can, answering what you learned during the lessons, you’d be able to pass, it was that kind of exam.

Since our teacher was Tina, it was virtually impossible for anyone in our class to fail the test.

Luna got full marks in the written exam and was commended as the best student.

Throughout the history of the school, no first-year student has ever got full marks, it was, to put it mildly, a spectacular achievement.

Luna is truly awesome.

I made one mistake.

The student council president had made a mistake as well and we ended up getting the same mark.

I got second place even though I am a sage

I’ve learned the hard way that my compensated memory as a sage was not enough.

Well, the exam ended without any complications.

With that out of the way, the school festival is starting in three days!

Normally only students can enter the Magic School but for this festival, anyone can enter, whether they are domestic or foreign, everyone gets excited about this event.

Everyone looks forward to seeing what the students at one of the world’s best Magic Schools will do.

Students arrange plays in their respective classes and set up food stalls among other things.

But since this is the Ifurus Magic School, the plays, food, and everything is done in a fashion and quality higher than any other school.

In my original world, I remember participating in a play where a hero was supposed to defeat a dragon at my school’s festival.

Of course, the dragon was made of cardboard among other things and the dragon’s fiery attack was a trick made by implementing vinyl tape.

However, in this world, the effort that’s put in the plays is on an another scale.

A lesser dragon was captured and to be subjugated in front of the entire audience.

I doubt you can call that a play anymore.

The audience are seeing a real battle between the actors and the dragon unfolding before them.

Many of the students in fifth grade can easily defeat the lesser dragon single-handedly.

Though it’s named a dragon and looks like it, the lesser dragon is not actually a dragon.

It’s only a lizard-type monster that looks like a dragon.

Its wings are just for show and it can’t fly in the sky.

Despite all of that, a lesser dragon is a C to B rank monster feared among the common populace.

To defeat such a dragon, you’d need to use magic that has overwhelming firepower.

The audience, as you’d expect, can’t help but feel excited when they see such a spectacle.

It’s not just the play, the food carts provide excellent first-rate food.

They use magic and cultivate very rare types of plants and sell them.

They also offer high-purity regenerative medicine that is not generally distributed among the public for sale.

However, since those medicine are made by the students during class, the medicine used when students get injured in school is even purer and more high quality.

But the adventurers coming to the school festival are willing and happy to buy those rare medicine even if it’s made by students.

I suggested that our class can do a “Maid & butler cafe” without putting much thought into it, everyone accepted the idea and it was decided that we’ll do it.

It’s relatively standard to do an activity like that at school festivals in my original world, however, that seems to be a rare occurrence in this one.

Tina, who has Special skill: Maid (Highest) showed us the ropes and trained us, and in a small amount of time, we acquired a considerable amount of skill.

And finally the main event.

Rifa, Yoko, Mai, Mei, and Merdi were all wearing maid outfits.

Aside from Yoko, The other girls were wearing those outfits every day at my mansion, so they are used to it.

Yoko is also skilled as a maid since it’s her job.

In the distance I saw Lyka and Luna shyly wearing maid clothes as well, They look really good in them.

「Haruto, the girls are the real stand-outs here, I could leave right now and no one will notice anything, I’ll stay in the background」

It was Luke who said that.

He was wearing butler clothes and brushed his hair all the way back.

「Have you looked in a mirror lately? There’ll be a lot of girls coming just to see you, you can’t do that」

No matter how you look at it, Luke is truly a handsome guy.

Immediately after the school festival started, me and my class, while wearing our maid and butler outfits, walked along the main street of the Academy while advertising that my whole class would have a “maid & butler cafe”.

Apparently, the advertisement had an effect, as we found many customers waiting in line in front of our class even before the store opens.

I feel that most of them are female.

We had rented out a real coffee shop found in the central area of Ifurus School for the festival.

This coffee shop is normally open during the school festival every year and it was estimated that it will generate more money than usual.

After hearing about the amount of proceeds it would bring in, I went and paid twice that amount and reserved the shop.

I was able to do that with just my pocket money.

The shop’s staff were the ones who would do the cooking and accounting, all we had to do was serving.

Although it’s the school festival, students don’t have to do everything themselves.

「Everyone, are all the preparations ready」

「Everything’s ready」

「Yup」

「Let’s do this!」

「Ready」

My maid group doesn’t seem to have any problems.

「It’s all a little embarrassing…. But we have to do this」

「L.. let’s go」

Lyka and Luna, please do your best as well.

「What if no one calls for me?」

「You will be fine Luke, I am the one who doesn’t want to be called, I’m nervous and not confident that I won’t spill my drink…」

When Luke went out a little while ago, all the women in the waiting line were cheering and fawning over him.

Luke will probably get all of the requests.

Ryushin was still insecure about his abilities as a butler but since he was under Tina’s guidance until yesterday, he was close to being able to play the part.

Everything is ready.

Tina was with us but stayed in the background in case something happens.

It’s time to open the shop.
