CHAPTER 4: My Household’s Liliana-san and the Hot Springs Trip

「Hafuuh, now this is what I would call Heaven~. So this is what a hot spring is like, huh? Just like my sister told me in one of her letters, it surely is a magical place that makes all of your body’s accumulated fatigue simply wash away.」

Liliana, who was soaked up to her shoulders in the hot water of the hot spring, was deeply moved by her first hot spring visit ever, and her face was showing the look of absolute delight.

The heat that permeated one body and was washing away the day’s fatigue…… It surely was pure bliss, being able to soak up water like that without any worries on your mind.

The current Liliana was showing a figure that was completely relaxed, unlike anything that Tatsuya had ever seen before.

「Even though a home’s bath is not half bad, a hot spring is always going to be a hot spring, a class completely of its own.」

As Christmas had already passed and the end of the year was slowly approaching, Tatsuya decided to go on a small trip to the hot springs together with Liliana.

Influenced by her older sister, Liliana turned out to be greatly interested in Japanese culture as a whole, so they had planned to do it shortly before the winter break would come to an end.

However, when the two finally arrived at the inn where they were supposed to be staying, they thought that the very first thing they should do would be going to the public bath, but instead, they wanted to soak in a bath just the two of them, so they shrewdly made a reservation for a room with its own private hot spring bath.

And there was no way Tatsuya would let any of Liliana’s wishes go unheeded, so the two of them sat face to face in the slightly cramped bathtub and enjoyed the hot spring together in such a way.

「And besides, Liliana-san! When it comes to public hot springs, there are usually other people there, so there is no way that we would be able to properly relax like this……」

「Well, I mean, it’s not like any of our acquaintances are here right now, so being seen is not really that much of a problem……」

And with that being said, immersing themselves in the warm waters of the hot spring, Tatsuya and Liliana could already feel that they were becoming refreshed.

When it comes to situations like that, Liliana sometimes thought that Tatsuya was worrying way too much over nothing.

On the other hand, Tatsuya did not want to expose Liliana’s natural beauty to some total strangers. He wanted to be the one who would be able to monopolize her. But Liliana fortunately understood where he was coming from with that idea.

In addition, Liliana, in particular, was not your typical beauty. She was way more than that, and it was not even an exaggeration on Tatsuya’s part. And because of her skin color, even amongst the members of the same sex she could have been easily taken for a foreigner.

「And besides…… The only one who can witness my lewd appearance is you, Tatsuya-san. You and no one else.」

「L-Liliana-san……」

It’s not like he was particularly conscious of what she was saying right now, but being able to convey her honest feelings directly in front of Tatsuya like that meant that no matter how much time passed, there was no sign of fakeness to her feelings and gestures, and maybe it was the working of the hot springs atmosphere that Liliana was in such high spirits right about now. Tatsuya’s cheeks grew even redder when he started to think just how adorable his beloved Liliana was right now.

「Of course, we will go to the open-air bath later, but there are windows here as well. It’s already dark outside, and you can only see the snowy mountains that we have skied on in the afternoon…… Don’t you think it looks really elegant, illuminated by the shining moon in the night sky like that?」

「Y-Yes, it sure is……」

Contrary to Liliana’s feverish gaze, Tatsuya’s smile darkened a little bit.

The two of them stayed at this inn not only to soak in the hot springs, but also for the purpose of the attached ski resort.

Previously, he found out that Liliana was inexperienced when it comes to skiing, when she was watching a special TV program on winter sports.

Even though Tatsuya himself wasn’t really all that good at them, he had some experience when it comes to skiing, so he could teach Liliana the very basics at the very least, so he thought it would be a good opportunity to plan this trip as an excuse.

When they arrived at the ski resort, they rented a set of snowboards for that very purpose.

While the women were really conspicuous in their cute and flashy outfits, Liliana wore a khaki jacket and nappy pants.

Her thick clothing made it difficult for Tatsuya to gaze upon the sensual curves of her glamorous body, but her silver hair, bathed in the winter sunshine, shone on the slopes like pure threads of silver, and Tatsuya could not help it but to admire her, while instantly forgetting about the original reason for as to why they were even here.

Liliana also felt at ease here, because unlike Summer, she was not dressed nearly as lightly, so she did not have to worry about the other males around her staring at her all the time.

Once she was all ready, she moved to a flat area where Tatsuya was to teach her the very basics.

The main premise of this trip was the time that the two of them were supposed to spend together while enjoying themselves to the fullest, especially since back at home they would usually spend their free time indoors without going anywhere. So this outing was actually going to be a good change of pace for the both of them.

So Liliana tried to do her very best for Tatsuya regardless of her appearances, but it was also a man’s nature to want to show his good side to the person he likes, so Tatsuya was also trying to impress her as much as possible.

However, what was unexpected for Tatsuya was the speed at which Liliana was learning.

At first, her legs would wobble a whole lot and she would lose her balance all the time and fall down, but after a few repetitions, she learned to stabilize her center of gravity and she could do gentle snowboarding without much difficulty at all.

Tatsuya was a bit impatient because Liliana was improving so fast compared to himself, but he was also happy that she was able to snowboard alongside him so fast, so he immediately decided to take their time in a relaxed manner on the beginners’ course.

Since the slope was a gentle one, even Tatsuya had time to observe Liliana’s snowboarding as she ran side by side with him.

While occasionally giving her advice such as “When you’re on the move, do more this, or more that……”, the two of them enjoyed the silver world around them to the fullest.

Sure enough, after snowboarding a few times, there was no longer anything with which Tatsuya could offer Liliana some insight or advice.

For the first time in his life, not only was he easily caught up by someone else in a discipline in which he considered himself to be quite decent, but he was also overtaken in less than half a day. Not to mention by his beloved Liliana, of all people.

It was not that he did not like that idea at all, but it was simultaneously making him pretty sad and pretty happy to see Liliana laughing happily while learning a new thing that she never even tried before.

If Tatsuya was here with some of his male friends, they would probably enjoy joking around and snowboarding on their favorite course freely and enjoying the snowy mountains. But being here with Liliana was filling his heart with a completely different kind of warmth and sense of accomplishment.

It also caused him to smile without even realizing it at first.

Soon enough, Liliana was handling the snowboard like a real professional, and Tatsuya could not take his eyes off of her glimmering silver hair as she glided down the slope over and over again.

And that proved to be a fatal mistake on Tatsuya’s part.

Noticing someone who was skiing right in front of him a little bit too late, Tatsuya tried to dodge them by turning sharply to the side, which caused Tatsuya to lose his balance and fall down to the ground.

In order to kill his impending momentum, he rolled around the slopes and dove headfirst into the pile of snow that was located right beside the course.
