Part B: Juugo’s quest. Chapter 1.

This is a world of swords, magic, and adventure: Nana Ejima. This fantasy world was under threat from a Demon Lord.

A powerful demon lord abducted the beautiful princess from the Holy Kingdom of Glasses to his own castle.

In order to defeat such a treasonous Demon Lord and save the princess, a hero puts his name forth. Brave Jyugo.

Through many adventures, Jyugo the hero somehow managed to reached the Demon Lord’s castle.

「This is the Demon Lord’s castle? 」

Here stands the Demon Lord’s castle which rises so high it pierces the clouds. Standing at the main gate is the hero Jyugo, carrying a legendary sword on his back.

Somehow I couldn’t make any friends (ones who will form a party with me anyways) and ended up at the Demon’s Castle by myself. He was pretending to look cool, basically erotic. It was a bad look.

 The hero Jyugo opens the large gate and steps into the Demon Lord’s Castle.

Out of nowhere an eerie laughter resounds.

「Nyahahaha. It’s nice to meet you. Seriously. 」

The hero Jyugo hears the resounding laughter from the wide entrance and snorts.

「What is this? If you think about who plays the role of the Demon Lord is, it’s a natural disaster. 」

「I’m not a natural disaster! I am Tensaai, the mysterious and unidentified Demon Lord! 」(Note Tensai, could mean natural disaster which makes this a pun)

The disembodied voice of the Demon Lord seemed disturbed.

「The only people I know who laugh like that are natural disasters. 」

「Hehe, well done. You’ve figured out my true identity, Juugo. As expected of my rival. 」

The Demon Lord simply admits her true identity.

「Damn you, you never stop looking down on me. By the way, I’m the hero Jyugo. 」

「Hmph. Is there such a bad-looking hero? At most I’d say you are a bandit. 」

「Don’t say I look bad! That’s a characteristic. Anyways, I’ve come to save the princess of the Holy Kingdom of Glasses, who is said to be a transcendent beauty! Let her go now! 」

「Request denied! If you want to save the princess then you must face off against me and win. 」

「I guess that’s the way it goes. I understand, I’m going to fight, so hurry up and show yourself. 」

Jyugo the hero pulls out the legendary sword he is carrying on his back. The Demon King laughs at the hero.

「Hmph. Juugo, you don’t seem to understand the conventions of fantasy worlds. As a rule, demon lords don’t just meet the hero of their own accord. 」

「No, you shouldn’t be so vocal though, right? Well in other words, I have to reach the demon lord’s room on the top floor of this castle where the natural disaster is, huh? 」

「That’s right. It’s the process of reaching that room though. 」

「? What do you mean? 」

「Before you reach me you’ll face off against the 5 Heavenly Kings who are under my control. Will you be able to beat them all and reach me? 」

「What are the 5 Heavenly Kings, that’s not how it goes! Normally it’s the 4 Heavenly Kings! 」

「There are 6 chapters, so it can’t be helped! Anyways, you will face each of the 5 Heavenly Kings one at a time and then with the greatest detective of this century. A battle with a first class natural disaster awaits! 」

「What are you looking at? I mean, from the very beginning of Chapter 1, the whole story structure isn’t going to fall apart! This time it’s probably not a great detective, but a demon king. 」

「Even if my body is that of a demon lord, in my heart I’ll always be a great detective! 」

「That’s a pretty cool thing to say! That was said so well you can almost hear the ‘shaking’ sound effect」

「Yeah this is the first and last time I make you the demon lord. Also, right now I’m Jyugo the Hero. Not Juugo! 」

「I didn’t think so! Great Detectives see through stories settings. 」

「You are a demon lord who is abandoning her duties! Ugh, enough! Let’s move on! 」

「Hmph fine. First off, I will ask you to face off against the weakest of the 5 heavenly kings under my control. 」

「No, before fighting the 5 heavenly kings why doesn’t the Demon Lord say some cool lines? After I beat the first of the 5 heavenly kings but before fighting the others say ‘Don’t worry, he was the weakest of us…’ Isn’t that the kind of line that’s usually said in that situation? …No? Fine, call in the weakest one. 」

「OK, then come in. Here is the weakest of the 5 heavenly Kings! 」

Tensaai’s call summons this heavenly king, whose entrance is wrapped in a frightening aura.

A white hand grows out of the wall.

「I’m not a bad kid! 」

「Kyaaaa! …wait, that’s Nanana-chan! 」

「Hey Juugo. I am Naananna, the Heavenly King of the Morning. 」

What appeared was Naananna smiling and wearing an easy to move in outfit that had very little fabric to it.

The Weakest of the 5 Heavenly Kings: Naananna (estimated level 777)

Traits: Since she has a ghost body, physical attacks don’t work at all. With the countless objects from the Nanana collection that she owns, all kinds of attacks are possible. Has the strongest Luck Skill, “Heavenly Luck”. Pudding is her favorite food.

「Hey there natural disaster! … No, Demon Lord! Where is the ‘weakest one’? Isn’t she the strongest earth bound spirit?! 」

「It can’t be helped. If we said the strongest one came out in Chapter 1 then the rest of the chapters won’t be as exciting. 」

「I don’t think so! Why are you already looking at future events, dammit! … So why is Nanana-chan here anyways? After all, Nanana-chan shouldn’t be able to step outside of room 202 of the Happiness Dorm! 」

「It’s OK because this is an extra edition 」

「It’s not OK, Nanana-chan! 」

「You know Juugo, A 2 person comedy routine won’t won’t be popular with only 1 boy in it. 」

「Right, I don’t mind. Since this is an extra edition it’s ok to ignore the characteristics from the main volume. I think it’s totally ok for you to go outside the room. 」

Jyugo the Hero, who wants to be popular, flashes his best smile and give a thumbs up.

「Good 」

「Damn, I didn’t expect Nanan-chan to appear as the weakest of the 5 heavenly kings. I was certain Nanana-chan was going to play the role of the kidnapped princess. 」

「Fufufu, that’s too bad Juugo. Now the weakest of the 5 heavenly kings will take care of you. The weakest… weakest… weakest… 」

Rumble Rumble Rumble

「? Uh.. Nanana-chan? Is it my imaginiation or is Nanana-chan super pissed? 」

「What makes you think that? 」

「Oh, I you know. Nanana-chan’s eyes are glaring more than usual, or more like an angry aura is coming out. 」

Seeing Jyugo the Hero trembling , Naananna-chan (the weakest of the 5 heavenly kings) laughed.

「Nah, I’m not mad at all. Even though you call me the weakest, I’m not angry at all. 」

「Yeah, this is bad. She’s so angry that she’s not making puns anymore. 」

「I don’t care at all. Because after this I’ll be dominating the other heavenly kings. 」

Naananna-chan, the weakest of the 5 heavenly kings, has a grin on her face.

「Wha… dominating the others…? 」

「The weakest main character accumulates victories one by one, and finally defeates the strongest boss to rise to the top. 」

「Yeah, Nanana-chan. Your eyes are so bright and shiny. Nanana-chan loves this kind of vibe. I mean, Demon Lord-san. It looks like the weakest of the 5 heavenly kings is aiming to take your life and spot. 」

After an awkward period of silence, the Demon Lord could be heard clearing her throat.

「Juugo, please. You have to stop Nanana-dono. 」

「The Demon Lord is asking the Hero! This has gotten serious! 」

「T..that’s not true!  Nanana-dono! This is an issue with the script, it’s not what I actually think! I didn’t intend to speak ill of Nanana-dono…」

「Ah, the Demon Lord is making excuses…」

Naananna smiled while listening to the Demon Lord walking back her words while half crying.

「Oh, you don’t’ need to say anything right now, Tensai-Chan. When I meet you later, I’ll listen carefully to what you have to say. 」

「The weakest of the 5 heavenly kings just declared war on the Demon Lord! 」

「This is bad… At this rate my life is in danger…」

「And the Demon Lord is seriously scared! She’s trembling in the face of the weakest of the five heavenly kings! 」

「I need to do something…. Something… I need to somehow have Juugo win here. Somehow I need to turn this match in Juugo’s favor. 」

「Is the Demon Lord scared of the weakest of the 5 heavenly kings and trying to join the hero? 」

「OK then Jyugo! Time to announce the conditions for your victory! 」

「Wait, isn’t the conditions a normal victory during a battle? 」

「You think you can beat Nanana-dono in a normal battle? 」

「No, I can’t do that. I don’t think I can beat Nanana-chan in any battle…」

「Let’s set Juugo’s victory conditions to touch Nanana-dono’s breasts. 」

「Whoa whoa whoa whoa! 」

Jyugo the Hero holds his legendary sword up to the sky, and is enveloped in a golden light.

Jyugo the Awakened Hero (Level cannot be measured)

Traits: The final secret of the legendary hero who wields the legendary sword. By releasing the power of legend, all stats are increased 100 times.

Battle Start.

「Nanana-chan is ready! 」

「Jyugo is set! 」

Results:

Jyugo the Hero vs Naananna, the Weakest of the 5 Heavenly Kings.

1 Round, 7 Seconds, K. O.

(Left shoulder dislocation due to the cross body arm bar)

Jyugo the Awakened Hero is foaming at the mouth and not moving.

It was over in the blink of an eye. Naananna was on the ground with the awakened hero, looking up at the ceiling and grinning.

「Wait for me Tensai-chan. I’ll be right there. 」

「O.. oh no! 」

The Demon Lord is seriously frightened! The weakest of the 5 heavenly kings is aiming to take her life. Jyugo is still laying on the floor, he may or may not be dead. Also, the kidnapped princess…

How will this story end?
