President Yuiga who had spent a lot of time with Ikusaba Hiiyo in the Adventure club replied with confidence. If that’s the case then it seems like we’ll be able to solve this issue if we take the actions president Yuiga told us to. 

  ｢Let’s hurry up and ask Yun-chan then.｣

If we ask Yun-chan about the information Ikusaba-san is looking for it would give us a big clue on how to clear the ruin. 

  ｢No, that isn’t a good idea.｣

  ｢Why isn’t it a good idea, president Yuiga?｣

  ｢She had contact with Ikusaba-san but despite that she didn’t speak up. It might be something she wants to hide. Do you think she’d just tell us?｣

  ｢…..Come to think of it, you are right.｣

  ｢We need to be cautious about it, the worst case scenario would be Ikusaba-san finding out that we are after the same ruin.｣

Tsurezure-senpai nodded firmly. 

  ｢Isshin is right. We don’t know where Ikusaba would be watching that high school girl from.｣

  ｢We can tell Ikusaba-san about all this after conquering the ruin. It’ll at least stop Ikusaba-san from messing with Yoshino-san.｣

I see, so that’s how we are going to roll.

  ｢So we have to clear the ruin without any hints?｣

  ｢No, not completely without any hints.｣

  ｢What do you mean?｣

  ｢Tensai-kun, do you know the details of the secret part-time job that Yoshino-kun got?｣

Ah, I see. 

  ｢I didn’t get to know the details but the place is the shopping mall on Sixth street for sure.｣

  ｢That’s the South Red mall that we went yesterday…..Mm? But it’s weird, Yun-chan said that it was her first time visiting South Red mall.｣

  ｢Is that so?｣

  ｢Can it be that Tensai’s information is wrong?｣

Tensai pouted hearing me question her information. 

  ｢Don’t underestimate me, Jyuugo. The  information is trustworthy, there can’t be any mistake in it. Rather, it would be more reasonable to think that Yoshino Saki is lying.｣

No, I don’t think that Yun-chan was lying either…..but she was hiding the fact that she knew Ikusaba-san so she could’ve lied about that too. But I can’t think of Yun-chan as someone who’d deceive and lie. I would like to think that there is a reason behind it. And the shortest way to know the reason is to clear the ruin and take away Ikusaba-san’s reason of interest in Yun-chan. 

  ｢But how are we going to search for it? It’s a damn big place.｣

Three buildings and more than a hundred shops, the surrounding area owned by the mall is pretty vast too. It would be a pain in the ass  to search every corner of the mall for the ruin. It would be a waste of time. 

  ｢Then you need to go get a hint in order to shorten the time.｣

President Yuiga answered like it’s nothing, I frowned and asked, ｢Who am I  going to get it from?｣

  ｢From the spirit bound in your place of course.｣

  ｢Hint? No. I did tell you that I am not going to give you any clues for a while.｣

Nanana-chan who was watching a comedy show while eating the pudding gave a response that I had expected her to have. I had seen it coming from a mile thus it wasn’t a surprise. 

  ｢Please, I know but can you do something about it.｣

  ｢No, I can’t.  I won’t tell you anything or any sort of a hint.｣

The room bound ghost with the will of steel (or rather the stubborn ghost) showed no sign of changing her mind. Seemed like she didn’t even consider my plea. 

  ｢Nanana-chan, please think about it.｣

I bowed by head but all she said was no. 

  ｢Why do you want it so badly? Don’t you already know the area the ruin is at? All you need to do now is spend some time and search for the ruin.｣

  ｢I don’t  have much time and I don’t want to waste time.｣

  ｢Hmmm, why is that?｣

Nanana-chan stared directly at me, her straight gaze made me uneasy and I looked away. 

  ｢…..Well, it is for personal reasons. I can’t tell you what it is.｣

  ｢What do you mean? Are you saying that you can’t tell me the reason and you are expecting me to give you a hint without knowing the reason? Hmmm, alright. I won’t give you the hint then.｣

Nanana-chan got sour and started watching the television again. But I can’t give up here. 

  ｢Nanana-chan, please listen to me. I can’t tell you the details but if I don’t clear the ruin quickly, I’d get into a bad situation.｣

  ｢Why can’t you tell me the reason?｣

That’s because Ikusaba-san is involved in this. Nanana-chan might get hurt if I mention his name. 

  ｢There is a reason but I can’t tell you.｣

  ｢So, you want me to give you a hint without telling me the reason? I don’t get what you are trying to say.｣

Is that so? I would probably also not tell me if I were Nanana. But I’m not going to give up. 

  ｢Please, I will do anything so please give a hint about the ruin in the South Red mall!｣

I lowered my head and Nanana-chan stared at me. 

  ｢So, everything is going to be fine if you clear it right? You just want to clear it if I am not wrong.｣

The way she said it caught my attention, it was weird how she said it but I nodded anyway.

  ｢Yeah.｣

Since clearing the ruin would make the information Yun-chan has regarding the ruin useless and that would guarantee her safety. 

  ｢I see, so you guys just need to clear it…..the ruin in the South Red mall.｣

Nanana-chan started pondering, then she started grinning and after that she nodded.

  ｢Alright, I’ll help you out..｣

  ｢Seriously?｣

  ｢Yeah but there is a condition to it.｣

  ｢Eh, a condition?  Is it that super expensive Japanese style black sugar pudding from Tenjikudou?｣

  ｢… There are two conditions to it.｣

There was an increase in the condition but nevermind. One of them was, as I had expected, Tenjikudou’s Japanese style black sugar pudding for a week and the other condition was…..

  ｢If you find a Nanana collection in that ruin you should never use it, that’s the condition you need to follow.｣

  ｢Eh. I’m not allowed to use it?｣

I was confused by the peculiar condition, Nanana-chan smiled boldly. 

  ｢You can make this promise right? Since your only objective is clearing the ruin.｣

It was a weird condition and it confused me but if I was to make it simple it meant that I could get a hint just by making a promise. 

  ｢Alright, I promise.｣

After pondering for a brief moment I decided to accept Nanana-chan’s conditions it seemed like a harmless condition. 

  ｢Alright, it’s time for the trial.｣

I had completely forgotten about it, it had been a while since I had gotten a trial from her. In order to get a hint from her I need to pass her trial. The biggest shopping mall in the Nanae Island’s Southern section (South Red shopping mall) was full of students even on the weekdays, though not as many as compared to the weekend. The mall had many places of entertainment for students such as karaoke, bowling, and cinema, along with various shops that sold all types of goods. Students from the same school were taking a stroll together in the mall. It is a popular place for friends to hang around after school and I could also see students from different schools interacting with each other in the mall. These things were pretty easy to observe thanks to the uniforms  they were wearing. I could see couples too in the crowd regardless of how I felt. Whenever I saw a couple….I felt….you know…how to say this, the right word for it would be annoyed. No, I’m not saying this out of jealousy or out of malice since they have a girlfriend and I don’t…..Well I’ll be honest, maybe a bit of that is a reason behind my irritation, but that isn’t the biggest reason for this feeling. So, what’s the number one reason you say? The number one reason behind the annoyance is watching couples have fun from inside this hot bear mascot costume. A question for you guys, why am I in the South Red mall strolling around wearing a bear mascot costume? The answer is: because this is the trial given to me by none other than Nanana-chan. But it isn’t like wearing this hot costume is the trial. It is just a part of the trial and not the entirety of the trial.
