「Huh? What the hell?」

It’s no wonder that Haruto was suspicious.

It’s because Tensai had already thrown down a paper before even chanting.

「Don’t worry, it’s just a preview of what I’ll throw.」

「What is she thinking?」

Tensai was playing paper before they even said ‘rock paper scissors’.

Haruto’s smile fades as Tensai makes this announcement. He just stares at the paper being stuck out.

And so the 6th throw of rock paper scissors begins.

「Kii, Kii, Kyaaa!」

The result is a tie of papers.

But again something strange happened.

First, what Tensa didi. She made a feint that made the paper that she was holding from the start turn into rock for a moment during ‘Kii, kii’. Then at the final ‘kyaaa’, she returned her hand back to paper.

The problem is that Haruto was caught in the middle of the two feints.

Haruto clearly reacted to the feints from Tensai. Things looked normall when Tensai turned paper into rock, but shortly afterwards when Tensai turned rock to paper again, there was a clear jerk in the motion.

But that was only for a moment. As expected the timing of the throw was same for both players and there was no delay that would warrant a violation of the rules.

If it isn’t a violation of rules, then it isn’t a problem. But if it’s strange, then it’s strange.

「Hmph, as I thought.」

Then Tensai grinned and said something outrageous.

「I didn’t expect him to be able to change what he was going to throw after confirming what I was going to throw. That’s quite a brilliant post-move play.」

Haruto laughs at Tensai’s unexpected words.

「It seems that great detectives are good at making complaints. What exactly are you talking about? Weu have to throw at the same time. How can I make a post-move play?」

「The only thing that is at the same time is when we finish our movements. I am always the first to start moving my hand and you are always the last to start moving your hand. However, because you are much faster at making your move, the timing of the finish is the same.」

「….」

「He watches the movement of my hand, decides what to play, and then moves his own hand. Due to his extraordinary judgment speed and overwhelming hand speed, it looks like he is able to play rock paper scissors without any problems. An ordinary person would normally never be able to do that.」

I couldn’t believe her explanation. However, if as Tensai said, he had waited to see Tensai’s finger movements before making his move, then it wouldn’t be surprising that he reacted to the feint that Tensai made earlier.

While listening to Tensai, the corners of Haruto’s mouth twitched.

「I see that she is a great detective and isn’t shy about telling everyone. Let’s just say that much is obvious.」

「I can’t say for certain but it seems like the ability of your pocket watch is something like time manipulation or speed change. No, it’s about speeding up yourself. As a result, everything other than you appears to be slow, and you can move faster than the surroundings. If that’s true, then everything fits together.」

Haruto still kept an air of reserve as he smiles while Tensai managed to deduce the trick brilliantly.

「I give you credit for your deductive powers. But now that you know it, what do you do?」

Yeah, I understand what Haruto is saying.

Tensai’s theory is probably correct. Even so though, it is hard to figure out how to stop Haruto. As long as they keep playing a normal game of rock paper scissors, Haruto should be able to continue to produce ties.

It’s true that this is all due to the use of a Nanana collection, but using Nanana collections are allowed. If the timing of the moves is simultaneous then it is a valid game of rock paper scissors.

It is a perfectly legal scenario.

Anyways, it’s stripping time.

Haruto takes off his socks, but the problem is Tensai…

She has her hat, shirt, skirt, and even though you can see them, underwear. It’ll probably be the hat…. Wait, what?!

‘Ho ho’, Haruto says with a smile.

Tensai decided to take her skirt off at this point.

「Hey Tensai! Are you and idiot? Normally you would take your hat off at this point!」

I had said something that was a very uncharacteristic thing for a high school boy to say.

「Shut up, it’s my choice.」

So as a result, she was wearing what is commonly called a naked dress shirt (she was wearing  underwear, but you couldn’t really see it, so it was practically the same thing) and a hat. Tensai was a disaster.

As expected though, she shows no signs of shyness and proudly sticks out her chest.

Her clothing is limited though. Well setting aside Tensai’s situation, Haruto had his own problems. Haruto only had his shirt and boxers left.

The rules of this rock paper scissors game is to continue until there is nothing left to take off. This is Haruto who has a deep hatred towards great detectives. There is no doubt that he will run this game until he is completely naked in order to embarrass Tensai.

In other words, if this situation continues, there is a possibility that she will be showing things that she doesn’t want to be seen.

This is truly a situation with no end in sight, in many ways.

How do you fight under these circumstances Tensai?

Meanwhile, Tensai is looking down at her right hand and muttering.

「Hmph, it seems that I hurt my right hand playing rock paper scissors earlier.」

The great detective started making these weak excuses. I mean, how often does someone’s hand get injured during a game of rock paper scissors?

Tensai then slowly took out her notebook from her jacket, that had already been taken off, and turned her back to Haruto. When she finished writing, she tore out the page, folded it into quarters, and presented it to gorokuma.

「This is my next move.」

Haruto’s eyes widened.

Seeing this, I couldn’t help but smile and say, 「I see what you are doing.」

A preview of her rock paper scissors throw, but in a difference sense than before.

By deciding which move to make first and passing it to the gorokuma referee, Tensai was able to pick a move without it being seen.

Naturally Haruto was upset. After all, until now he was sure he could match her 100% of the time, but now Tensai prevented him from legally seeing what she was throwing so that he could match it.

This time it is Tensai who is smiling fearlessly at Haruto.

「There’s no need to panic Englishman. Think back on what happened up until now and think about it carefully.」

「….I see, this is a difficult choice.」

Haruto puts his hand on his mouth and begins to think.

I took a look back on what has happened so far. Then I realized something.

In the game so far, Tensai has thrown six times: paper, paper, rock, paper paper, rock. Looking at this there was a visible pattern.

I mean wait. Why is this happening?

Then I had a startling realization.

No way Tensai. Did you foresee this happening beforehand? So you dared to follow a pattern of paper, paper, rock?

Even though I thought there was no way, I couldn’t deny it was a possibility.

What if, when it came down to a game of rock paper scissors, she anticipated that Haruto would try something, and had prepared a plan to win the game?

This great detective could do that.

Haruto, who is falling for this trick, is staring at the expression on Tensai’s face.

「You won’t get anything from staring at people’s faces. I’m proud to say I’m confident in my poker face.」

Yes, I’m so proud of this great detective.

However, this great detective pushes her attack further.

「You seem to be struggling so I’ll give you a special hint. The next one I’m going to pick is scissors.」

She declared that the next one she is going to pick is scissors, which she hasn’t used before.

After hearing this, Haruto’s expression became even more intense and I couldn’t help but grin as I listened. Tensai’s psychological warfare was affecting Haruto.

Haruto who had been provoking Tensai earlier by saying ‘Try solving the mystery of how I keep getting ties’ is now confused by Tensai’s mystery.

The tables had truly turned.

I am also trying to predict the next hand Tensai has thrown. But the more I think about it, the more I don’t understand. I finally came to the conclusion that I would have to send out scissors. If I had to guess, Tensai picked Paper.
