Nanana’s Buried Treasure Volume 7 Chapter 7.10

Instructed by Isshin, Sansa turns over the top card which is an 8. Next, Nanana draws a 4 which totals 12. Sansa turns a 9 for a total of 21. Nanana’s next card is an ace for a total of 22. Sansa then draws the jack for a total of 33. Nanana’s next card is a 7 which makes 40. Sansa shows a 2 for a total of 42. Nanana turns a queen to make the total 54. And finally, Sansa draws a 10 for the final total of 64.

「The ninth card is over 56. This means that Cat Ear Mask wins.」

「So how many rounds will we play this time?」

Isshin replies to Sansa’s question while she checks the cards that will be used for the game as usual, 「One round.」

「Heh」, Sansa laughs as she returns the cards with a smile on her face.

「The number of coins that can be bet is the base rate times the cards it takes to end the game. The upper limit of the basic rate this time is 30 times the number of laps, so the maximum is 210 coins.」

M is surprised by the relatively high rate, and Isshin continues.

「Besides all that there is one more rule. This is a game of chicken, so if you think you will go over from drawing any more cards, you can declare ‘fold’ and end the game immediately. If this is the case, since you did not go over, you will only have to pay a quarter of the coins. If we apply this to the previous practice game, if the base rate was 100 coins, the game ended on the 9th card going over, and so Servant B would have lost 900 coins.
