Episode 20: <<Game Overtime>> ~Conclusion~ vs GREAT 7

The long night comes to an end, and a new morning arrives. The Leprechaun’s <<game>> is over, and there are only two battles left.

Three members of the Nanaejima General Security, Shiki Maboro, Kagetora Tsuredure, and Masaaki Kishitani, set out on their own to suppress the student rebellion.

Then there’s Sansa Kurosu and her group, who are fighting over the <<sword of Nanana>> with Juugo Yama and Hiiyo Ikusaba.

Coincidentally, both of these battles will see a member of the GREAT 7 fighting against students.

And these two battles will be the last of the night.

In front of the Seven’s Land royal castle, there is a battle between Shiki Maboro and Yukihime and her group. As Shiki Maboro was still preparing herself, Masaaki Kishitani was the first to attack.

「Graaaaaaah!」

With a roar, iron shackles appeared on both his arms and legs. Masaaki’s Nanana collection, <<Hekatonkeirus’ iron shackles>> was in its second stage immediately.

He closed in on her at a speed completely different from before. And also…

Boom

A blow of incredible strength was struck. Shiki, who was trying to block the fist, stumbled back.

「Heh.」

The second attack was a rising leg. This was much faster and more powerful than the previous one.

But Shiki easily dodged it by crouching down and humping in to Masaaki’s arm reach.

Masaaki, who should have literally gained monster-like strength from the <<Hekatonkeirus’ iron shackles>>, stumbled backwards.

This is when Kagetora Tsuredure took action. He stepped forward to replace Masaaki, and blew flames from his mouth.

In response to this ninjutsu, Shiki quickly took off her suit jacket and retreated, covering her face. Yukihime Fugi did not miss this opportunity. She thrusts her <<sun god’s wedge>> into the ground and stares at her target, Shiki. Then, a geometric pattern appears with the <<sun god’s wedge>> at its center, and multiple similar patterns around Shiki, who was escaping the flames.

「What?」

Golden chains fly out from the patterns.

But…

Shiki began to dodge the golden chains flying at her from all sides with astonishing dexterity. The golden chains shot out straight from the ground or the geometric patterns floating in the air. Even if they were dodged, they would immediately change trajectory and pursue Shiki. But Shiki continued to avoid even those with such grace that it was as if she was dancing.

Masaaki, wearing the iron shackles, charges towards her.

Shiki dodges the golden chains and exchanges punches with Masaaki. The golden chains are ignoring Masaaki and just rushing towards Shiki. Masaaki also dodged the chains flying through the air and swung his fists at Shiki. Even so, Shiki continues to avoid the chains, blocking Masaaki’s punches, and hitting back.

Kagetora moves again. He stares at Shiki and the others from a distance, and without a moment’s hesitation, he throws a kunai.

「!」

Shiki mutters ‘oh shit!’ under her breath. It was impossible to deal with the attacks from all sides.

The results: 「Harareha.」 (damaged)

Shiki dodged the three golden chains and kicked the approaching Masaaki. She caught the kunai in her mouth, and then a golden chain wrapped around her right wrist.

The situation has finally changed. The golden chains have wrapped around Shiki and begin to pull her with great force. Shiki is dragged towards the geometric pattern that rises into the air, which is the chain’ launch point. But she continues to search for other chains that want to wrap around her further. But with Masaaki approaching again, it’s no use.

While being dragged with one of her arms bound, Masaaki’s fist catches Shiki. Although she managed to guard against it, the attack that had never landed before finally struck Shiki’s body.

That was Yukihime’s honest reaction as she stuck the <<sun god’s wedge>> into the ground. But then Yukihime was startled. With one arm held by the chain, Shiki (who was enduring Masaaki’s fierce attack) turned towards her. And with her still free left hand, Shiki pulled out a pistol from the gun holster hanging from her right side.

There was a faint sound of gunfire, the target of which was, of course, Yukihime.

I quickly dodged it but…

「Damn!」

Because she dodged it in a hurry, the <<sun god’s wedge>> remained stuck in the ground while she moved. With its wielder gone, the golden chains that had been rushing towards Shiki also disappeared. Of course, that included the golden chain that had been entangled around Shiki’s right hand.

I frantically reach out for the <<sun god’s wedge>>.

The bullets that come one after the other with great precision force Yukihime to retreat. Firing her gun, Shiki kicks Masaaki away as he closes in on her, then takes off running. In the blink of an eye, she reached the spot where Yukihime had been moments ago. The point where the <<sun god’s wedge>> was piercing into the ground, and stepped on it with her foot.

Suddenly, geometric patterns began to appear around Yukihime.

「Huh?」

Yukihime realized what Shiki was planning. However, there was no way she could escape the golden chains that were chasing her with superhuman speed. The chains began to wrap around her body.

Seeing this happen, Shiki says, 「The Nanana collection is really convenient」, as she aims her gun. 「Actually I’m wondering why you didn’t just crouch down and block with one hand? You can use it as long as it’s touching some part of your body, right?」

「Ugh.」

「Plus, you know, having both hands free is pretty handy.」

Stepping on the <<sun god’s wedge>> with her foot and holding a gun in her left hand, shiki pulls another gun from the other holster with her right hand and grins. With loud blasts of sound, the two guns fire.

BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM

Of course, the gun is loaded with rubber bullets. But each bullet still has amazing force.

「Ugh, Gah!」

The rubber bullets bounce off Yukihime’s body, bound by the golden chains. As they do, Yukihime experiences an incredible amount of pain.

「Stop it!」

Masaaki, now fully berserk, charges at Shiki. Shiki counters with the gun in her left hand. The gun in her right hand continues to fire at Yukihime.

The pain is so intense that Yukihime, even bound by golden chains, falls to her knees.

She then notices that the bullets have stopped.

That’s strange, why isn’t the gunfire continuing to ring out?

「Wow, that’s cool, Ninja-kun.」

Hearing Shiki’s voice, she raised her head. Standing in front of Yukihime , instead of a wall of rubber bullets, was Kagetora Tsurezure. He clasped his hands together in front of him, and was able to withstand the onslaught.

「What the….」

「I can’t have you die until you set up a dating party for me.」

Kagetora grins. What he said wasn’t the coolest thing, but Yukihime’s fondness of Kagetora increases slightly. (Though it’s definitely not affection)

Meanwhile, Masaaki, who has been running away from the bullets fired from the gun in Shiki’s left hand, closes the distance between him and Shiki in one quick dash.

In response, Shiki calmly puts her two pistols away into their holsters, removes her foot from the <<sun god’s wedge>> and takes up a fighting stance.

「Gugaaaa!」

He dodges Masaaki’s punches one after the other with ease, and counters with a palm strike to the solar plexus.

「Kuhaaa.」

Taking a precise hit to his vital spot, Masaaki exhales and stumbles forward.

「This is the finishing blow.」

Then, facing Masaaki, who had his face down, Shiki raised her right leg high directly in front of him.

Conk

Shiki’s right heel went almost completely vertical, slamming into Masaaki’s chin from below. With that powerful blow, Masaaki’s head was thrown back and his body was lifted into the air.

She then lowered her right leg, turned her body half way around, planted her right foot on the ground, and used the momentum to deliver a left spin kick into Masaaki’s chest.

Thunk

Masaaki, hit by that power blow, bounced off the ground as if he’d been hit by a car, and soon stopped moving.

「Don’t worry, I went easy on you.」

Shiki smiles at Masaaki, who is lying on the ground and not moving at all.

Shiki then pulls out the <<sun god’s wedge>> that’s stuck at her feet and asks Yukihime and the others, 「Are you going to keep going? Or will you surrender now with dignity?」

At this point, Yukihime (who had collapsed) and Kagetora (who stood before her) were thinking the same thing. It was impossible for them to hold back Shiki Maboro any longer. They had completely lost the will to fight.

「Guugaaaaa.」

It was at that moment that a strange groan echoed. Shiki turned around and saw Masaaki, who she had knocked out earlier, standing there. He was making a strange groan. And most importantly, the number of iron shackles had increased.
