Nanana’s Buried Treasure Volume 9 Post Epilogue

After the turbulent events that occurred outside Nanaejima during the first half of summer vacation, and the intense events that occurred in the second half after return, we were somehow able to safely enter the second semester.

「Hey, I’m sleepy.」

After all, I’ve been working hard to finish my summer vacation homework for the past few days. As expected, it was a disaster that I didn’t start any homework at all in the first half. Even so, the amount of homework on Nanaejima is incredible. And if I didn’t do it, I’d be expelled, no joke.

By the way, Sora-neechan and Ulysses-chan, who have moved to Nanaejima are transferring to Nanaejima Second Middle School.

「It’s been a while, Juugo.」

By chance, I bumped into a familiar face in front of the school: Tetsunoshin Tsujimi. And then…

「Hey, Yama-senpai.」

Yun-chan, otherwise known as Saki Yoshino-chan, has a distinctive, bright smile.

「It’s been a while, both of you.」

「Juugo, can I talk to you for a moment?」

「We want to join the adventure club.」

As we moved to the back of the school building where there were few people, Tetsu-kun immediately spoke up.

Of course I’m surprised.

「Can I ask why?」

「Yes, but first I want you to hear about Yun’s current situation.」

He then tells me about the situation Yun-chan has been in since the <<game>> before summer vacation, and how she has lost most of her memory. Yun-chan clutches Tetsu-kun’s cloths tightly and looks down.

「It seems like a lot of things happened and I don’t remember much. I vaguely remember things, but not much specifically. I only remember a little bit about the Nanana collection. So if I’m involved closer to the, maybe my memories will come back.」

I asked Yun-chan, who looked up, 「Why do you want to get your memories back?」

「More than wanting to get my memories back, I want to erase my anxiety.」

「You want to erase your anxiety?」

「It’s possible, but if I were to remember something, the things I take for granted now might disappear again. Even if I think, ‘I want things to stay like this forever’, it might suddenly disappear… I absolutely don’t want that to happen.」

「Yun-chan.」

「That’s why I want to know everything. What happened to me, why I lost my memories, and what would happen if I got them back. And I want things to stay this way forever.」

Tetsu-kun gently strokes Yun-chan’s head.

「I’ll be with you. Forever and ever.」

I understand their decision.

So I dare to ask, 「Can’t you do that at your place, Sansa-san?」

The Three Skulls is undoubtedly the top organization among the underground forces on Nanaejima. Their best bet would be to rely on Sansa-san, the head of the organization. Besides, the two of them are members of the Three Skulls.

「She’s my anego, and the Three Skulls are like family to me. But… that’s exactly why I don’t want to rely on her. I want to fight as Saki Yoshino on my own, Yama-senpai.」

Apparently, this was the conclusion she came to after much consideration. Hearing that, I have some thoughts of my own.

However…

「Yeah, I get it.」

There’s no reason to refuse.

So with the events of the first day of school over, I visited the Adventure Club’s clubroom for the first time in a long while. I was afraid to do it so suddenly (especially because I was worried that the vice-caption might retaliate against the new members), so I went alone this time.

「Hey, Yama—kun. It’s been a while.」

However, the only one in the clubroom was President Isshin Yuiga. Feeling relieved for the time being (no, I wasn’t scared of meeting Ibara-senpai or her retaliation or anything), I gave him the lowdown on Tetsu-kun and Yun-chan. Hearing that the two of them wanted to join the club, President Yuiga (who was sitting in a chair) put his hand on his mouth and thought deeply.

「I understand. I have nothing to say.」

「So does that mean they can both join the club?」

「Of course.」

I was half happy and half confused that President Yuiga, who had been stabbed by Yun-chan, readily agreed.

「Oh, that’s right. Actually, I have something to tell you, Yama-kun.」

「What is it?」

「Summer vacation is over, and we’ve safely entered the second semester. It’s good timing that we’ve got new member joining the club.」

And the captain of the Adventure Club, Isshin Yuiga, still had his usual refreshing smile on his face.

「And so, I have decided to disband the third generation of the Adventure Club.」

「…Huh?」
