「Maybe she’s just sexually frustrated?」
「O, oh you, sheesh. If she takes an even stranger attitude than that, we have to report her to Kanbayashi-sensei.」
Kanbayashi-sensei was a young male teacher in charge of the boys’ class.
The delicate-looking Kanbayashi-sensei had also been troubled by sexual harassment since his student days, so he would warmly respond to the problems of the male students.
「Well, let’s just put up with the staring. If she were actually to lay her hand on us or put whatever she has in her mind into words, though, she’s out.」
「Y, yes… If you say so, then I guess it cannot be helped.」

The way they could see cigarette shop on the corner, the vending machines for alcoholic beverages, and the phone booths told Yuu the age they were in.

Traffic controllers and laborers working at a construction site.
A motorcycle policeman and a driver who was being pulled over to the side of the road and given a violation ticket.
For the most part, all of them were women.
Sometimes, when Yuu thought he saw a man, an elderly man who was taking a walk was accompanied by his family on either side of him, or an uncle who was going into a restaurant was sandwiched by robust male security personnel.
It seemed that no matter how old a man was, he never walked alone.
Yuu wondered regretfully if it was impossible for him to walk the streets alone freely in this world.
「Yuu-kun? Geez, Yuu-kun!」
「Hmm? Ah, my bad. What was it again?」
Yuu, who still ended up finding it unusual even though it was a scene he saw every day, seemed to have accidentally missed what Rei was talking about.
「We are talking about what to do with the course from the second semester, you know?」

From the second semester after the summer break, the boys’ class at Sairyo Academy High School would be taking a college preparatory course, aiming to go on to college in order to pursue specific careers such as doctors or teachers.
If they only needed to obtain a high school diploma, they could take the regular course.
Students were required to choose one of the two courses.
The class would remain the same, but in some lessons, they would be divided.
Yuu had heard that the number of separate lessons would increase as they moved up through the grades.
Originally, Yuu was a college graduate.
However, as he was right now, getting into a college of the level he graduated from might be in jeopardy.
Would he be able to regain his former grades if he spent three years studying?
But then again, the number of jobs available to boys in this world was limited, so Yuu was the same in that he could not think of a career that he wanted to pursue.
「For the time being, I think I’m going to take the regular course, too. At the moment, there is no job that makes me want to take the college preparatory course, after all.」
「I see! For me, I would be happy if I could be with you all the time, Yuu-kun.」
「Hahaha. I see, you cutie pie!」
「Wha!」
Embarrassed by the frank confession of his feelings, Yuu ruffled Rei’s head roughly.
No matter how androgynous and cute Rei was, Yuu harbored no strange feelings for boys.

Surrounded by their respective security personnel, Yuu and Rei got on the elevator of the condominium.
In the elevator box that was going up, Rei was standing close to Yuu.

「U, um, Yuu-kun?」

At that moment, as they heard a ding sound, they had ended up arriving at the 10th floor where Rei lived.

Taking along their respective security personnel, Yuu and Rei got off on the 10th floor.
「Yuu-kun, thank you for going out of your way to accompany me!」
Rei looked really happy.
「Don’t sweat it. Lately, I’ve been too busy with the student council that I can’t go home with you, after all.」
「S, sheesh, even though you don’t have to worry about that… Err, what I want to talk to you about is, you see, Golden Week is coming up soon, right? Would you like to come over and play at my place then?」
「Hoh.」
There, Yuu realized that even though they were lucky enough to be living in the same condominium, they had never visited each other.
Speaking of friends in student days, they were to come over and play at each other’s houses.
For Yuu, Rei was a precious friend of the same sex.
So he thought he should take him up on his offer here.
「That sounds good. I’ll come over and play at your place then. I believe I have to go to the hospital on the 28th, so anytime after the 29th is fine.」
「In, in that case… Let’s do it on the 29th!」
「Alright. I’m fine with that. I’ll be looking forward to it.」
「Yay!」
As the talk proceeded smoothly, Rei clasped both of his hands in a gut-pose.
It was certainly a gut-pose, but when Rei did it, the movement was small and girlish.
Once the talk was over, Yuu dropped Rei off at the room where he lived and said goodbye.
「Bye, then. See you tomorrow.」
「Yes. Bye-bye. See you again at school tomorrow.」
Rei waved his hand with a radiant smile on his face.
Not only Rei’s security guard, but also Kanako smiled at Yuu and Rei who were staring at each other, as if she were looking at something precious.
Looking at the two, Touko alone let out a 「Dehehe」 laugh and was on the verge of making a slovenly face for a moment, but quickly straightened up her expression.
