「If their goal is to awaken the Demon Lord, then we have to stop them no matter what. 」

Theo shrugged his shoulders. To be honest, he did not want to be in such a place at all. However, since this has already happened, he has no choice but to see it through to the end.

Dimitri took several turns in the underpass and led everyone to the room where Demon Lord Adele was sleeping.

The Demon Lord was peacefully holding her knees inside of the dimensional barrier floating in the air, and had her face buried in them as well. Dimitri stood to her left, and the Black Witch Yana stood to her right while Elmer slowly approached her from the front. A Crest had already appeared on the back of his right hand, emitting a powerful light. In terms of peerage, he would easily surpass the rank of Viscount at the current moment. Who knows, maybe he would have eben reached the rank of an Earl, Siluca thought to herself.

Elmer opened his right hand, which he has been holding tightly, and presses his palm against the Dimensional Barrier and raised his voice with a spirited shout.

The light of the Crest spread on the surface of the Dimensional Barrier and began to shine with all the colors of the rainbow… but the Dimensional Barrier seemed to be swallowing all of them greedily.

Siluca secretly wished in her heart.

Elmer took a step forward and puffed out her chest with pride.

「Dimitri, what is this all about? 」

The demon Lord looked back at the Vampire Lord.

「It has been a long time, since we have last seen each other, Adele. More than 1,600 years have passed since then, to be exact. 」
Dimitrie said so with a dreamy expression on his face.

「You of all people should know that it does not matter for me when I woke up. 」

Adele scolded him with a reproachful gaze.

「What do you mean? What is going on here?! I made a wish! Was the Demon Lord not supposed to grant it?! 」

Elmer put his hand on the Black Witch Yana’s shoulder in dismay. Yana put her own hand on his and said:

「I’m sorry, Elmer. That was a lie. I told you that the Demon Lord is going to grant your wish if you break her seal, but I only did that because it was a convenient way of making you cooperate with me. 」

「What? What do you mean? 」

Elmer’s eyes shot wide open as he looked at Yana in disbelief.

「Did you… did you deceive me!?!? 」

「In hindsight, yes, I guess you could say that I have deceived you. But there is nothing for you to worry about, because your wish may still be granted. 」
Yana told Elmer as she removed her hand from his shoulder. Then she turned to the Demon Lord and bowed respectfully.

「Demon Lord Adele, my name is Yana. I am the descendant of the Black Witch who once followed you. We have been waiting for you to wake up for many years, and it is our sincerest wish to travel alongside you once again so that we can usher in the days of slaughter and destruction like you did in the days of distant past. 」

「Destruction… and slaughter… 」

When she heard the witch’s words, Demon Lord Adele’s face became enchanted.

「It is my greatest desire, and my biggest joy! 」

「Magnificent. I expected nothing less form the Demon Lord who became the Layer of the great Demon Queen Lilith! 」

The face of the Black Witch shone with delight.

「However, it also brought me a lot of regret and grief…. 」

Adele’s expression changed to one filled with a great amount of anguish.

「That is right, Adele. That is exactly why you sealed yourself. 」

Dimitri nodded solemnly.

「Did you just say… that she sealed herself? 」

Elmer let out a voice as if he was still absent-minded form the earlier revelation.

「Yes, she set up a Dimensional Barrier and shut herself away… 」
When Dimitri said so, he placed his right hand on his chest.

「It is written that the Demon Lord Adele challenged The Magic City of Elam to a battle a long time ago and was defeated. That is a lie. There is also a legend that she was sealed by those who defended the city. That is also a falsified information. There is one truth of the events that took place all those years ago. After causing much destruction and slaughter, she ended up regretted her deeds and sealed herself away because of the overwhelming guilt that she was not able to handle. 」

「No way! It cannot be! 」

The Black Witch Yana raised a voice of surprise at Dimitri’s words.

「Were you deceiving me too?! 」

Dimitri sneered at Yana.
「But do not worry, my wish is the same as yours. I want to spent the rest of my days following Adele like I did all those years ago, spreading destruction and death! 」

「What the hell is going on here? 」

The cat might have come out of the bag, but Theo was still completely clueless as to what was actually happening around them.

「I know what happened, but I have no idea how it happened. 」

After Siluca told Theo, she looked back at the Demon Lord Adele.

「Lady Adele… 」

Siluca bows respectfully.

「Hmm? And you are? 」

「My name is Siluca Meletes. I am a Mage who belongs to the Elam’s Mages Association, and I have a contract with Lord Theo Cornero. 」

「A Mage for the Mages Association created by Mikhail… you say? 」

「That is correct. 」
Siluca nodded affirmatively.

「I heard that you once joined the Order of the Free Knights, which was formed by the Founding Lord Leon which traveled around the continent in order to quell the influence of Chaos in every region you came across. If you do not mind me asking, then could you tell me what happened to you that made you change your way of life so drastically? 」

「Why do you want to know about it? 」

Adele looked at Siluca with a cold glare.

Siluca felt so intimidated as if her evil eyes were trying to stare a hole through her very soul.

「Because I am a Mage, there is nothing that brings me more joy than gaining knowledge. Also, I believe that the reason why King Dimitri brought me here with him is because he wants me to oversee everything that is happening right now with my own eyes. I also believe that in order to properly understand what is waiting for us in the future, it is imperative for us to understand what has transpired in the past. 」

「That is right! That is exactly right! I also do not understand everything, but I wish to know more than anything else! Adele, I am begging you! I need to know everything about what happened to you back then! 」

Dimitrie feverishly nodded at Siluca’s words, delighted that someone else also understood his point of view of the Demon Lord Adele’s matter.

「Well, fine… 」

The Demon King nodded slowly. Maybe it was because she has just woke up from a deep and long slumber, but this might be the best possible time from them to get them to tell them what they wanted to know, since Adele spoke indifferently all the time, almost as if she did not care about the words that were leaving her mouth.
