Aishela frowned.

When they fought the undead in the Forest of Eternal Darkness, she emitted some strange light from her body that kept the Undead at bay.

It seems to have the effect of inflicting pain on those with Arts in their bodies, because even Aishela and Irvin were being harmed by that light and wanted to run away from it, so it should have the same effect on the Projections created by Chaos.

「Then, can you head for the cape over there? 」

「If Charybdis tries to escape out to sea, I want that light to push it back. 」

It looked strange.

Siluca ordered Cetus to attack.

Perhaps Cetus had awakened to his defensive instincts, and now its anger prevailed over his fear. The dog-headed sea monster attacked Charybdis with a roar that made ripples appear on the surface of the sea.

It was counterattacked by countless tentacles wriggling beneath the surface of the water. Each one entangled and tightened around Cetus like an independent creature.

Cetus desperately stretched out its neck to bite Charybdis’s head off, but its tentacles blocked it. Charybdis wanted to drag Cetus out to sea.

「Crap! 」

Seeing that, Siluca waved her hand at the cape. In response, Priscilla, who was hiding behind a rock behind her, appeared and raised her right hand. A pure white light was emitted out of it, illuminating the dimmed cove like a lighthouse.

Struck by the light, Charybdis stopped moving. Its tentacles wriggled as if it was in agony.

Since Charybdis was momentarily immobilized, Cetus freed itself. It returned to shore to avoid Priscilla’s holy light, but suddenly turned around and bit Charybdis on the head. It also bit off a part of the giant’s torso, and slimy liquid leaked out from within.

「Now! 」

Siluca called out to Theo and the others who were waiting for an opportunity.

「Let me guide you to the afterlife… but you’ll be the only one going to Valhalla! 」

After Aishela shouted that, she leaped high into the air. Then, using Cetus’ back as a stepping stone, he jumped even higher. Then she landed on the top of Charybdis’ head and stabbed her glaive into it vertically, putting her entire weight on it to make it go even deeper.

Irvin threw the harpoon he had in his hand at it in the meantime.

The harpoon hit the belly of the giant. One of its tentacles moved and tried to pull it out, but the harpoon had a barb so I couldn’t pull it out. A rope was attached to the handle of the harpoon, and the rope is tied to a big pot.

A rope is weak to cutting, but strong against pulling. If you tie it using special knots, it will never come untied. Perhaps they were trying to restrict Charybdis’ movements, even if only for a little while.

Theo and the twins climbed onto Cetus’ back and attacked Charybdis’ tentacles. One by one, the log-like tentacles were cut off with the power of Theo’s Crest and the twin’s Arts.

Siluca nodded at Cetus in her heart and freed it from her control. But it won’t go away anytime soon. It’s a pity, but it’ll have take on Charybdis’ attacks for them for a while longer.

Once she freed Cetus, Siluca had some spare power to use. However, her fatigue was severe, and it was impossible for her to support everyone with magic. She had no choice but to watch everyone’s efforts while praying for their success.

Cetus finally seems to have died and was completely motionless. Charybdis would normally want to eat slowly, but it didn’t have the luxury of doing so.

The tentacles tried to catch the small creatures that clung to them, but the twin Werewolves and Irvin avoided them with quick movements, while Theo deftly fends them off with his sword and shield.

The monster of the Tartarus world dragged Cetus’ corpse and tried to escape offshore several times, but each time Priscilla used her holy light and pushed it back.

Then Charybdis seemed to have given up on carrying Cetus out to sea, untying its tentacles and leaving the corpse alone. As a result, Irvin and Theo lost their footing to fight Charybdis. And no matter how shallow the water may be, movement in the ocean is inevitably going to be restricted.

Priscilla also shot the Holy Light many times, so she looked extremely tired.

Following Charybdis’s tentacles, they climbed onto the giant’s upper body and slipped into the wound that Cetus had bitten off.

Siluca yells back at the top of her lungs, and the villagers responded, calling out Theo Cornero’s name.

Theo Cornaro quelled the Chaos Vortex.

The rumor spread all over Sistina in no time. Some didn’t believe it, but they went out to sea to fish while being prepared to die, but returned safe and sound.

A few others followed, but none were caught in the Chaos Vortex that was supposed to always occurred in the sea around the island.
