It seems that the poison was spreading even faster in the Assassin’s body, and his voice has already begun to tremble.

Irvin fell to his knees on the spot. Suddenly, all the strength he had left in his legs was gone.

The twin Werewolf sisters were thinking.

The two of them were supposed to be fighting against the Demon that was summoned by the Black Witch…

… however, the Demon just sat in the place where the mysterious shape was drawn on the ground and did not move for even an inch.

「That goat isa serious threat. 」

Emma concluded after she tried to jump at the Demon to tear it apart, only to be stopped from reaching it by an invisible wall.

「Ohohoho!!! The Demon’s barrier is not something that can be so easily broken! 」

The Black witch’s laughter echoed from the sky.

「*Groooowl*!!! 」

Luna looked up at the sky and bared her fangs at Yana. However, even with the jumping power of her Werewolf legs, the Black Witch positioned herself so high as to be sure that the girls will not be able to reach her.

In the meantime, the Demon, who continued to sit down in place, uttered some strange, unintelligible words.

At that moment, a black flame rose from under the twins’ feet. It was not hot like the normal fire, but when they’ve been hit by it, they were attacked by an inexplicable sense of exhaustion, and a feeling as if a part of their souls has been scraped away.

The twins screamed and jumped away from it on the spot.

「So, how do you like its flame of darkness? Pretty effective, wouldn’t you say? But th real feast is only about to begin! 」

The Black witch said so, snapped her fingers, and the twins took on the form of Werewolves, running around the Demon, and ramming themselves into the barrier, trying to tear it apart with their fangs and claws. However, the invisible wall was harder than steel and easily repelled all of their attempts at attacking it.

In the meantime, dark flames rose up from the ground again, and once more, if they touched them for even a little, they felt as if their souls were being eroded away.

Pretty soon, you won’t be able to move at all. Only when that happens will I order the Demon to remove the barrier, and he’ll leave the magic circle and rape both of you. 「Big Sis Arte was also killed by the Vampire King, so the number of our brothers and sisters is dangerously dwindling. 」

.「We have to do our best to make children to make up for it then. 」

「It’s still early for us to do that. Siluca takes priority when it comes to baby making with Theo. 」

Since Theo didn’t seem to like the idea of becoming a Werewolf himself all that much, then after debating on it for a long time the two of them arrived at a conclusion that the only thing they could do about it was to have children with Theo and bring them back to the village where they would grew up in accordance with the Werewolf traditions.

「You’re being surprisingly carefree now, aren’t you? 」

The Black Witch called out to them while glaring at them from her spot high in the air.

「So what if we are? We’re thinking about what we should do with our problem now! 」

Emma glared at the Black Witch and replied.

「Do you really think you can afford to be talking about such nonsense? Well, it’s not like it’s going to change much for you, so suit yourselves I guess. 」

The Black Witch ridiculed them, and then she flew right above their jumping distance to mock them some more.

「You’re the only person in the world whom we absolutely cannot forgive! We will take revenge for mother! 」

Emma tried to jump as high as she could with all her might and scratch Yana with her claws, but she didn’t cover even half the distance between them.

(We won’t be able to reach her even if we use that technique.)

Emma desperately racked her brain in search of something what could allow them to tip the scales of this battle in their favor. That was the most important lesson that she learned from Irvin, who was always chastising her if she didn’t plan ahead or if the arrangements of her plans were bad.

「Maybe we could try jumping over the barrier? 」

Luna calls out to her sister.

「That’s it! 」

At that moment, Emma leapt into the air again and she tried to attack the Demon from above. This time, she was not stopped by any invisible walls.

「It’s over! 」

Emma screamed with joy.

However…

Just as she was about to sink her teeth into the neck of the goat-looking Demon, something has hit her right in the face.

「Gyan! 」

The pain of hitting that something was so great that Emma involuntarily released her transformation and rolled on the ground while holding her face with both her hands.

「Oh, did I forget to mention that the black flames will attack you if you try any underhanded tricks like that? 」

While rolling on the ground as the Black Witch laughed, Emma escaped the rest of the black flames, but she was hit by enough of them that she felt like her mind was getting numb and her body grew colder. At this rate, she really felt like she won’t be able to move even a single muscle soon.

「If an attack from above doesn’t work, then how about we try attacking it from below by digging in the ground? 」

After Luna said so, she went near the barrier, stretched out her claws, and ferociously dug into the ground.

When it becomes deep enough to pass through, she started digging forward, but when she went a little further, she was stopped by another invisible wall.

「It’s a pity for both of you, but my Demon’s barrier is spherical. 」

The Black Witch let out another laugh. It looked like she was greatly enjoying everything that was happening right now.

「So it’s all around him. 」

The pain has already subsided, and once it did, Emma observed the magic circle on the ground while moving at high speed.

The barrier was probably running along that circle, and from there, it seems to form a sphere that closed off the air space above the Demon and the ground below it.

Emma remembered a simple lesson she received from Siluca once. Whenever she had to remember something from words alone, she was doing exceptionally poorly and felt depressed afterwards, but she was much better when it came to remembering pictures and shapes. It’s just that she hated dealing with invisible numbers and learning long and difficult words.

In her head, Emma envisioned the shape of the Demon’s barrier, and then she turned to Luna.

「Let’s test that out! 」

「That? What do you mean? 」

Luna asked back at her sister, in response to which Emma pointed upwards with her finger.

「Okay, I get it. 」

With just that, Luna guessed what her sister was talking about.

「But where though? 」
