Chapter 64: The Long Awaited Play❤
“It’s ammunition and guns. And a lot of them too,” the captain muttered as they hauled their spoils back to Evesys Castle along with the POWs.
“Fuck it. I told you we should’ve taken the long way around.”
“Cowards! Attacking at night!”
“What were the guards doing? How could they not see knights attacking on horseback? Were they sleeping on the job?”
The POWs kept complaining all the way to the castle. It irritated Hiro just listening to them. He was tempted to kill them, but apparently, it was against their knightly honor.
“Traitor! After all we’ve done for you!” a soldier who recognized Rebecca shouted at her. She ignored him, of course. But Hiro knew those words carried pain.
By the time dawn rose, the group had arrived.
“Good job, Cecile,” said the general.
“We have ammunition now. We should arm our soldiers with it. That way, we can assault the border town of Sicily!” a
