Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 100
Kazuki smiled witnessing these swift deaths, while Danny simply rubbed his chin in thought. He muttered something but since they were in space none could hear him. Everyone else though was left with stunned expressions. Even Detra who helped with certain inscriptions and had seen all of the designs from start to finish, even she did not expect this kind of overwhelming victory.
Shaila, Tozu, and Sasai were left in awe and had admiration for Danny’s new Golems. They often saw him as the weakest in terms of physical strength. He was at the same Convergence stage as they were but he did not specialize in physicality. They understood he had certain techniques that could devastate them but there was a difference between strength and techniques. Ancient beasts who looked up to, and respected strength first and foremost saw Danny as the weaker of the group in many aspects.
However, this all changed today. The Titan Golem proved to be a force they knew they could not compete with. Witnessing it take the full force of 7th stage beings like them and remaining intact, this showed just how tough and powerful these new Golems really were and Danny was the one who could control them.
The three were left in awe.
At the same time, Mei and Kosaru already rushed forward and were climbing all over the Titan Golems. With their speed, even if these new golems were the size of worlds, the two could race around them in fractions of a second.
Kosaru was jumping around excitedly and calling out.
(Play play play!)
Mei on the other hand was trying to find an opening, some way to get inside of them.
(Danny where do I get inside I want to move the golem thing as well.)
Kosaru wished to play with the giant Golems as if they were toys and Mei wanted to climb inside as if she were a pilot operating a robot.
Danny stopped rubbing his chin and looked at Mei in confusion.
(Climb inside, there’s no such thing. These Titan Golems are controlled by using either your thoughts or your aura.)
Mei was immediately disappointed that you couldn’t get inside and operate them but being a kid that changed from one moment to the next and she quickly began asking for Danny to show her how to control it with her aura.
Danny wasn’t all that interested but Tsura gave him a sincere look and he changed his mind.
(Well I suppose it would not be a bad thing if you understood its functionality and use. Having an interest in such things is good for the mind as well.)
Danny turned to Kazuki and Kazuki gave a nod. Afterward, Kazuki’s storage ring opened and a tiny object the size of a grain of sand floated out. With a thought, it expanded billions of times over. It was planet Kai. Since Kazuki could change its shape at will and could store it in something as small as a grain of sand, whenever he and others weren’t on the planet, Kazuki would store it in his ring and take it with him.
After Detra repaired the tear in the realm the intruders had opened, everyone went down to planet Kai. Everyone was full of excitement, to say the least. They knew Danny, Kazuki, Detra, and old Sid had been working on a few projects for a while now but they didn’t know just how far they had come in these few months.
Seeing the three Titan Golems for the first time, seeing them in action, was an undeniably thrilling experience. The very second they landed on the world, everyone surrounded Danny and had a million questions for him. Even Sam who wasn’t usually the talkative type was bombarding Danny with countless questions.
Tsura as well wasn’t much of a wordsmith but even she was looking on at Danny with curiosity.
“When the hell were ya going to tell us you had a freaking giant golem? Holy shit it’s awesome. It took all of those attacks with ease! How fast can it go?”
Shin of course was the first one to ask and Danny just went ahead and answered what he could.
“Once we finished the design and gathered the correct materials it took around one month to finish the first one. Once the first one was completed, it took less than two weeks for the second and about four days for the third one to be completed. If it’s not teleporting its speed is rather slow over a distance but up close it can move about as fast as Tozu or Lamia can. It can be pushed further depending on the one who controls it.”
Tozu and Lamia were the slowest of everyone here. They were all 7th stage beings though so them being the slowest was actually only comparable to the rest. In actuality, though they could move faster than lightning. This type of speed though was nothing compared to the rest. Even Danny who didn’t excel in strength was a master of wind and could move much faster than the two.
Shin and Triska wanted to test its speed right away and they weren’t alone. Kosaru loved racing and Mei was always up for something like that.
As the questions came in Danny just kept answering.
“We had a choice to make regarding the materials we would need and use. Kazuki can make a near unlimited supply of God metal but we understood that that would not be enough to handle attacks from 7th stage beings, sow e opted to use Cosmic metal but that as well is very difficult to make and is in short demand. Besides what is already in the Golems and a small amount I and Kazuki have, there is no more. Because of this, we needed to come up with an idea on how to handle them being destroyed. That is where Detra came in.”
All eyes turned to Detra but she was unaffected by such stares. Well, that is until Alutra came over and hooked her arm around Detra’s and said a few words.
“Why such a serious look Detra. Don’t be so stiff around friends or your boobs will shrink!”
Detra smiled and everyone laughed at that. Lin on the other hand just shook his head.
“Alutra stop embarrassing the girl already.”
Alutra pretended to pout.
“Who is embarrassed here. Detra knows we’re friends already. Right precious flower.”
Alutra teasing stroked Detra’s cheek and this time a tiny blush of red crawled up her face and she quickly slapped Alutra’s hand away.
“Stop messing with me.”
Alutra didn’t get offended though and persisted.
“Aww, was brother right, are you going shy on me now?”
Detra puffed up her chest in defiance.
“Who’s going shy. I’ve been alive billions of years longer than you have. How could I be embarrassed around a junior like you?”
Alutra smiled before hugging Detra.
“If I’m the junior doesn’t that mean you should be the one taking care of me but who’s been taking care of who in the middle of the ni
Detra quickly covered Alutra’s mouth before she could finish her sentence and then teleported Alutra, herself, and her tiny rat away in an instant. Even if Alutra didn’t finish her words, everyone besides Kosaru and Mei understood what she meant.
Shin couldn’t hold it in and said.
“And here I thought she was a man-eater, turns out she played for the other side.”
When he said this, everyone started cracking up. They all had similar thoughts but only now realized there were a few signs they had missed.
Kazuki could see both Asuna and Nunully sigh in relief and just shook his head.
“I don’t get it, Aunty plays for the other side. Are she and Detra playing a game? I want to play too.”
Tsura rolled her eyes while everyone just cracked up once again. Mei became even more confused but joined in with the laughter. Even if she didn’t understand what they meant it was still fun to laugh with everyone she thought.
Danny went on to explain a few more things about the golems but not many people were listening. Shaila and Mei though were naturally curious and Sam who was uninterested in other people’s relationships also put that aside and wanted to know more.
Lin as well came over and had a few questions. He had seen many things in his life. Powerful tools that could change worlds but he had never personally seen a magic device that could be on par with the supposed strongest in that Realm. If something like that existed in a Higher Realm, something that was made by hands that could contend with a God, that would simply shatter the mind.
He had heard of some things that could go against Gods but none of them were made from others but instead were born from the universe itself. Creatures, abominations, beings of such immense power that could topple even Higher Realms. These things of course were just myths in his opinion which made these new Golems that much more awe-inspiring.
