Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 146

The restaurant was part of a glamorous 5-star hotel. As soon as they walked inside a sleek-dressed woman approached them.

“Mr. Kazuki. I have already received word from president James, he is a V.I.P guest of ours. He mentioned I should treat you just as I would him. Therefore, if you would kindly follow me, I will show you to our private room.”

(Hmm, I didn’t even have to tell James anything, as tactful as always.)

Several waiters and waitresses lined a private hallway and bowed as Kazuki and everyone else walked by.

Asuna’s parents and her sister were in awe as they had never been to such a fancy place. They were honestly worried if Kazuki could even afford it but they wouldn’t say that out loud. Well, at least Asuna’s parents wouldn’t. The moment they all entered the private room Sun once more began to ask questions.

“Brother-in-law, just how rich are you?”

“Sun! that’s inappropriate. Kazuki, my youngest can be quite shameless. Don’t mind her.”

Asuna’s mother was embarrassed at her daughter’s boldness but at the same time, she too was curious. Not just her but Kimi’s parents, as well as her grandfather, were curious as to what Kazuki’s background was. They had heard very little about Kazuki. They simply knew that amongst everyone here he was supposedly the strongest. Kimi said they were friends but didn’t go too into detail as they were in a rush to arrive.

Sam’s father though didn’t really care. He only cared about the fact that his son and Asuna had returned safe and sound. The fact that his son also had a good woman was a bonus.

Shin smirked seeing their expressions.

“Don’t be too shocked but when it comes to money there is no one richer in this Realm.”

They didn’t get what Shin meant when he mentioned Realm but they understood from this that Kazuki was wealthy beyond imagination. That though was hard to believe but in actuality, it was the truth.

Not just him but Sam would be on that list as well. The two could manipulate their magic to make any element of stone. That included diamonds, gems, gold, and beyond. All in a near limitless supply. As long as Sam had magic he could pump out as much gold as he wanted. Kazuki as well and even if he ran out of magical energy Kazuki still had other means to make trivial items such as gold or diamonds.

“Brother in law is that true? Big sis said you were some powerful guy back in Gordonta or whatever. She kept bragging and bragging so I eventually tuned her out but if you’re really that rich I don’t mind being your bride.”

Sun kept spouting this and that and Asuna’a mom quickly thumped her on the head. Kazuki could see where Asuna picked up her…mannerisms.

“Sun! Stop talking nonsense or I’ll ground you.”

Sun held the top of her head in pain as she complained. Mei and Kosaru found this funny. It reminded them of Tsura and Alutra and how they would dish out discipline. It was like they found a comrade in Sun.

Kazuki didn’t mind these questions. They were only natural. After a family member goes missing and then out of nowhere shows back up years later with some random guy.

Kazuki held up a hand in front of Sun and a small flow of magical energy circulated in his hand. As he did this, a piece of gold materialized and formed a beautiful and fashionable necklace. It had a few gems embedded inside made of both diamond as well as sapphire. A moment later and it was complete. With a thought, the necklace disappeared and then reappeared on Sun’s slim neck.

“For my soon-to-be little sister-in-law. You have beautiful blue eyes just as Asuna had. This necklace matches you perfectly.”

Sun looked down at the necklace and her face flushed bright red. She was charmed in an instant and she suddenly found that it was hard to speak as she now felt incredibly shy. She bashfully looked away from Kazuki.

At the same time, Asuna’s mother felt slightly jealous. She didn’t understand why but just seeing the beautiful necklace around her daughter’s neck and hearing Kazuki compliment her, it reminded her of her younger days and how romantic her husband used to be. She suddenly started feeling annoyed and mad that her husband and she haven’t even been out on a night on the town in a long while.

Kazuki could sense this with his soul reading ability and he quickly made her a set of earrings to match her as well.

The earing shined brilliantly and Kazuki even embedded them with a few inscriptions. These pair of earrings though did not use magical energy but instead used the power of ki. They absorbed the natural ki in their surroundings and gave the wearer a small amount of extra strength and relieved one of aches and pains.

The moment she wore them, she could feel the effects right away and the recent stress just melted away as a warm feeling filled her chest.

She now felt more relaxed and looked at Kazuki as if to say, where have you been all my life.

“Thank you Kazuki, these, do they suit me.”

Kazuki nodded.

“They make you look graceful. I’d compliment you further but I’m afraid I’d make your husband quite jealous, heh.”

This time it was Asuna’s mother who felt bashful but instead of looking away like Sun, she began slapping Kazuki on the back in a playful way.

Both Asuna and Nunully didn’t like this atmosphere one bit. Asuna pulled her mother away and Nunullysqueezed in between so as to block her from getting near Kazuki.

Meanwhile looking at Asuna’s father one might think he really was jealous of Kazuki’s compliment but in actuality, he was jealous of the gifts.

(I’m to be his father-in-law but he didn’t get me anything. Not fair.)

Kazuki was surprised this was his reaction. He found it funny more than anything.

“Sir, if you like, I could help you out with that.”

Kazuki casually pointed at the large bald spot atop his soon to be father in laws head. Asuna’s dad was stunned.

“You…is that something you can do?”

Kazuki gave a sly smile before sending forth a small wave of ki. His energy penetrated the scalp and made it healthy and youthful. The very next moment, tiny hairs began to sprout from the man’s head before growing longer and longer until he had full locks of hair. It grew all the way down to the man’s ass before it finally came to a stop. Kazuki flicked his finger and a blade of wind began cutting the hair into a nice style.

Creating a mirror he tossed it over so Asuna’s father could see it. As soon as he saw the return of his hair, he almost started to cry. He grabbed Kazuki’s hands and shouted in pure joy.

“SON-IN-LAW!”

Asuna’s family were flabergasted. They had already seen magic from Asuna and Lamia and had heard Asuna’s story but seeing this, they were just left without words.

Not just them but Kimi’s mother and grandfather were stunned. The mother could sense a little bit of this strange power coming from Kazuki while Grandmaster Chul could sense a little more. The magic was already beyond belief but what they took note of first was his use of ki. They felt him use only a tiny force when he used his ki just now and within that tiyn force of ki was an overabundance of both power and life energy.

Not only did they feel a strong vigor flowing through Asuna’s father but they could feel that his life force had grown by at least another 10 years and the age of his body had decreased by at least 5. Kazuki had only used the most insignificant force of ki. It was so little that it was almost nonexistent yet contained within it was life.

Kimi’s mother couldn’t help but stand up from her chair when she felt this and Grandmaster Chul had to pull her back down to her seat.

“Master Maya, your disciple is truly incredible. I must admit, I underestimated him when my granddaughter mentioned him but seeing this display of power, just what kind of secrets have you been hiding. I don’t understand how you could have died if you already had the secrets of extended life.”

Master Maya was full of smiles but she shook her head.

“I’m glad you think so highly of me old dog but I did not teach this technique to my disciple. He learned this all on his own. Hehe, my disciple is far beyond me I’m proud to say.”

Grandmaster Chul and Kimi’s mother were once more taken aback. They were constantly revaluating Kazuki.

(If this young man can control that much life with the tip of his finger, then the counter of that…Just how much death can he control? Was I worried all this time for nothing? If he is like Kimi said, then it isn’t he who should be worried but instead it is the world who should not dare piss him off.)
