Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 148
As everyone ate as if they were addicts, Kazuki was surprised to see how well everyone not from Earth was communicating with Kimi and Asuna’a family. Sam’s father was like him or rather Sam was like his dad and the two did not say much. As for Danny and Shin, neither of them brought family here due to their own circumstances.
While Asuna’s family spoke Japanese and Kimi’s spoke Korean, there was no loss when it came to words or understanding. When one reached a certain level, understanding and comprehending language became as easy as breathing. There was really nothing to it.
These beings had souls at such a rich level that understanding the world around them, the elements, life, and death, it became a part of them in one way or another. To comprehend the elements and use magic, that was thousands of times more difficult than being able to speak a language.
For Asuna and Kimi’s families, what they heard from everyone else was their own language. Due to this ability, the conversations went well and were fairly pleasant. It was a little surprising just how well everyone seemed to get along.
The reason probably could be attributed due to the Ancient beasts and everyone else from Gordonia’s natural curiosity. This world was so fascinating and new to them. Not only that but as guests of Kazuki, they of course could only be respectable to this world and its inhabitants. At least until Kazuki told them otherwise.
Those from Earth were also very accepting. Mainly they were just happy to have their loved ones back. Besides that though, seeing the change in their children, seeing how they’ve matured, they couldn’t be more proud. Because of this, they held trust in their children and so they held trust in those they brought with them. Nothing was held back and everyone was just honest with one another. Several rounds of liquor certainly helped with that.
Just like that more than an hour had passed. The pleasant times though could not go on forever.
Kazuki stood up as he felt something.
“It seems like we have guests.”
Asuna’s family and Sam’s dad along with Kimi’s father didn’t know what he meant but everyone else could sense several people making their way here.
“Shall we head to the roof for a bit of light entertainment?”
Asuna’s mother was the bold one among the normal people and asked in confusion.
“The roof why would we go there?”
Kazuki didn’t hide anything as he straight up told her.
“Since our arrival back to Earth the leaders of the world were made aware. Since we are all strong, that isn’t something they can just let go. They have sent their strongest to come and take a look at us and will most likely decide whether or not to kill us.”
Asuna’s mom became worried.
“Kill you! Asuna what is he saying why would these people that don’t even know you just come to kill you?”
Asuna gently held her mother’s hand.
“It’s ok mama, don’t worry. They can’t hurt any of us. Because we are who we are, naturally the leaders of the world can’t just let new powers move in. They are the type to be scared of the unknown and think we’ve come to do them harm or take their authority away from them.”
Grandmaster Chul was a part of the world’s power structure. He himself had been called personally by the South Korean president to help in this situation. He had his own tasks. After he found out that Kimi was one of the people they were worried about he had explained about his granddaughter and told the president that the others were her friends. This only slightly eased the president’s worries and he needed confirmation as to why Kazuki and the rest had come here.
“Kazuki, before you confront the champions. I would like to know something.”
Master Chul remained respectful the entire time. He had just seen a single fraction of Kazuki’s power and knew he was not to be trifled with. Still, he had to know Kazuki’s purpose. This was a matter that not only concerned Korea but the entirety of planet Earth. From what he saw, Kazuki seemed to be peaceful but first impressions could be deceiving. Even if his grandaughter backed Kazuki, this could only cover so much. Before Master Chul could even ask though, Kazuki read his soul and responded.
“You want to know why I have come and what my goals are.”
Once more Master Chul was shocked.
(Is he really capable of reading my thoughts!?)
Kazuki shook his head.
“Not exactly it’s closer to intuition.”
The soul reading ability allowed him to feel one’s emotions as well as there soul on a deep level. The stronger he was compared to his opponent the more he could perceive about them up to a point that it almost was like reading their thoughts. In reality, though he couldn’t say 100% what one was thinking but with the soul reading ability, it basically was at that level.
Master Chul was stunned but Kaqzuki ignored his expression and again simply spoke the truth.
“The reason I came here, number one was for Granny Master. The second reason was so that Asuna and everyone else could reunite with their families. Number three was simply to relax and sightsee in peace, heh. Number four, destroy a few stars.”
Everything was fine up until the end of Kazuki’s statement.
“De…destroy stars.”
Kazuki nodded.
“No one on Earth need worry. The stars I will be taking out will have zero effect on Earth or anything remotely near it. Traveling from Realm to Realm isn’t so difficult but traveling from ours to this one, the distance is far too great to cover without a profound cost. So I will be taking a few stars. Again, this will not affect anyone on Earth. With that, let’s head to the roof.”
Grandmaster Chul kind of sat there in shock for a moment. He didn’t know how to take Kazuki’s words just now. Kazuki though really didn’t care what he or anyone else thought. In the end, he would be taking some stars so Arc could recharge and there was no one that could stand in his way nor stop him. As far as he was concerned those stars were already Arc’s, he just hadn’t gone out and plucked them yet.
Walking out of the private room, Kazuki had only gone a few feet before reaching the door to the next V.I.P room.
“Are you not going to come along as well?”
The door to the private room swung open and a tall black man wearing a strange sleek black outfit stood in the door frame. The man had to lean down as he walked through just so he didn’t hit his head. As soon as he stepped out, Grandmaster Chul recognized him right away.
“Black Dawn!”
“Grandpa, you know who he is?”
Master Chul nodded.
“Black Dawn The Invincible. He is born and raised in the U.S he is considered untouchable so much so that even the American president doesn’t dare order him about. I’ve never seen him shed a drop of blood or get injured ever. He goes where he wishes and does what he wants. Luckily he is a foodie and his main habit is eating. Otherwise, he would be a problem not just for America but the entire world. To think he was able to hide his presence from me and he’s been sitting in the next room this entire time.”
Black Dawn looked down on Kazuki, he literally looked down. He stood almost a foot taller than Kazuki. Hearing Chul, His eyes snapped down the hall and he smirked.
“Old Dog, you are still breathing. After all this time, after all the loyalty you’ve shown your country, you’d think they would have retired you and let you relax comfortably but here you are, still walking around with those brittle old bones of yours. Sad little pup.”
Chul’s expression changed from calm to anger and back to calm in a split second. He knew he could not provoke Black Dawn, otherwise, it was a sure way to die for nothing.
“Every breath I take is for Korea. A dog is the most loyal of companions and will protect what they love to the last fang. I am Korea’s dog and will defend it until my dying day. There is no such thing as retirement for me but thank you for your concern.”
While the two were talking, Kazuki quickly became bored and continued to the roof, everyone else followed besides Master Chul and Black Dawn.
“Hmph, it seems like this man is a rude bastard. For him to ignore me of all people. Oh well, it will be hilarious when I tear his arms from his body. Let’s see how long he can ignore me then.”
Master Chul shook his head as he made his way past.
“I would be careful if I were you. The man called Kazuki…He is much more than the surface entails.”
Black Dawn raised a brow.
“I’m starting to get curious. For the Old dog to issue me of all people a warning. Now thats exciting.
