Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 150
Things seemed to be going well so far.
“Kazuki, since you are aware of these laws, then you must understand that by being in these lands you have to follow them, otherwise you will be dealt with accordingly. In your case, since you are not a Citizen of Japan, you would be treated in a harsher manner should you choose to break any laws. The same would most likely go for the other countries you visit as well. You are not of this place therefore, you are not allowed any protection under any laws. So were you to cause trouble it would not end well for you. Are we clear up to this point.”
Kazuki nodded.
“I understand you. Is that all?”
Everyone felt things were going far too well but since the Phantom Sword was in control here, they said nothing and followed her lead, well everyone except for Black Dawn.
He took a step forward and Phantom Sword could see a headache coming and she tried to prevent him from putting his nose where it doesn’t belong.
“Black Dawn what do you want to do? As long as you are in my country
“Now now, No need to bark at me, little woman. I barely got to greet Kazuki earlier. I just want to have a small chat with him, that’s all. Calm down.”
Energy began to gather around the woman’s sword. She knew from an earlier exchange that she could not deal with Black Dawn but if she were to just back down here, all of Japan would lose face.
Black Dawn smiled as he felt the energy pulsing from this blade. He could tell just how much she wished to cut him but he already knew her powers. In his eyes, the Phantom Sword was no more than a playful breeze. He turned away from her, showing his back. It was as if he was telling her to try it.
She glared daggers at him but she knew the moment she drew her sword, he would no longer be willing to overlook it. She knew he was just messing around the first time and he was simply curious and wished for a little entertainment. If she made a move again, all of that curiosity and playfulness would go right out the window and he would turn on her for real.
The Phantom Sword calmed her nerves and her hand remained at her side away from her sword.
(It’s fine. I will just have to take responsibility later. Knowing how this will play out, Black Dawn will kill him. Once he’s done, he’ll grow bored and move on to something else like always. They’ll blame me at first but then they’ll drop it like always because it involves Black Dawn. I feel a little sorry for this Kazuki guy. He doesn’t seem to be a bad character but you garnered the interest of this monster. Damn you Black Dawn. One day Japan will have the upper hand and it will be you who is forced to kneel underneath the Japanese flag.)
Black Dawn stood in front of Kazuki and looked down on him. For anyone else on Earth, this would be intimidating but for Kazuki and his friends, this was laughable at best.
The speedsters off to the side and the other Champions watched on with mild interest. Some felt pity for Kazuki and his friends while others were excited to see Black Dawn crush another unfortunate fool.
“So you are called Kazuki. Since you’ve been to this world before, you must have picked up a few customs right. Well where I’m from, you have a handshake between men when you introduce yourself. Back in the hall, I didn’t get to greet you properly, so here we are. I’m called Black Dawn, nice to meet you Kazuki.”
Black Dawn held out his huge hand and smiled politely. The other champions tried to hold in their laughter or sadness while The Phantom Sword watched with great annoyance. Kazuki could already see through him. Even if he didn’t have his soul reading ability, Black Dawn was far too obvious with his actions.
(The moment I shake his hand, he’ll try to crush me. If I were to fight back, he would act as if I was threatening him and he would try and kill me right then and there. If I were too weak and I could not resist at all, he would most likely just break my hand and then find an excuse to break the rest of me. How fiendish and fun.)
Kazuki himself was laughing inwardly while Arc was sighing at how childish the two were. Kazuki didn’t hesitate at all and reached out and shook Black Dawn’s hand. The moment the two clasped hands, Black Dawn decided to mess with Kazuki and squeeze with a small amount of strength.
This amount of force could crush a car flat but to his delight and surprise, Kazuki’s expression didn’t change whatsoever.
(Good, it seems this man can take a bit of my strength. How about this.)
Black Dawn’s force doubled and then tripled as he continued to shake Kazuki’s hand. Once more though, Kazuki was left completely unharmed and he kept smiling.
A few chuckles came out in the background. It wasn’t the champions of the world. Instead, it came from Asuna and the others. They could sense exactly how much force Black Dawn was using with their auras. No one else but them could sense auras since no one else but them had such powerful souls. To them, the strength that Black Dawn displayed was enough to kill any human on the planet with ease. To Asuna and everyone else though, it was pitiful. They could all literally break worlds with the flip of a hand. Watching Black Dawn increase his strength, again and again, was both funny and sad.
Black Dawn very quickly picked up that something was wrong and his strength now equaled something that could crush a tank but still there was no change from Kazuki. Black Dawn furrowed his brows and he said fuck it in his mind as he used half of his total strength. This was enough to lift a skyscraper off the ground and toss it several miles away.
(He must be suffering now. No one in this world can withstand this. So surely
Black Dawn’s thoughts came to a standstill as Kazuki’s expression finally did change however it was not one of pain that he showed but one of boredom.
(Damn, is he really not affected. why is his fucking hand like a slab of titanium? How can he resist my might! NO ONE CAN RESIST MY STRENGTH!)
Just as Black Dawn was about to use all of his strength Kazuki spoke.
“This isn’t how a man does a hand shake. SHouldn’t it be more like this?”
The moment these words came out of his mouth, Kazuki used a fraction of his strength and gave a slight squeeze.
*CRACK SNAP POP!*
All of the bones in Black Dawn’s hand and fingers broke apart as if they were made of chopsticks. Bones and blood protruded through his skin and stuck out at odd angles in a gruesome manner. Black Dawn fell to his knees and screamed out in pain.
*AHgHHHHHHHH!*
“MY HAND!”
Everyone watched this in shock. They had never once seen Black Dawn injured, they had never even heard that such a thing was possible. Even the Phantom Sword couldn’t believe it.
Kazuki casually let Black Dawn go.
“You broke my hand.”
“Yep. You can attempt to break mine but when I break yours you have complaints.”
Black Dawn stared at Kazuki with maddening eyes. Thoughts of murder echoed in his mind. Kazuki could sense all of this and smiled at him.
“You want to kill me, take my head. Try, I won’t resist in the least. Go ahead.”
Kazuki leaned over and revealed his neck. Black Dawn stared at his clean neck and the urge rose within him but Black Dawn was no fool. He could sense a strange power coming from Kazuki as well as coming from Asuna and the rest of them. He figured this power was the source of Kazuki’s wild strength and if he tried to fight him it would not be just him against Kazuki but him against Kazuki and the rest.
Black Dawn had never felt pain before. He had grown up invincible and never experienced or encountered someone like Kazuki. Kazuki was someone he did not know the limits of and Kazuki had friends. Black Dawn had almost a hundred other champions there with him but he knew right there and then that they would all be useless.
(I’ve taken the full force of a nuke and have withstood it with no injuries but for a split second, Kazuki’s strength exceeded that by more than a thousand times and he broke my hand instantly. For a moment I caught a small glimpse of his power. I…I cannot defeat him.)
Black Dawn shook his head. He still tried to put on a brave side.
“Damn, to think you possessed this much strength. I admit it, it’s my loss.”
Silence fell as everyone took these words in and they were left dumbfounded.
