Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 152
A force large enough to crack the world itself had just destroyed the entire moon. Kazuki wondered if he should shield Asuna’s family and Sam’s dad from seeing what he had done. After all, he did not wish for them to fear him but at the same time, he felt they needed to be aware. If he was to continue to be involved with Asuna and Sam and the others, he felt their family had the right to know what the temperature of the room was.
He could sense the confusion and fear coming from them and understood exactly why they felt this way.
He could help them to get past this later on but for now, he had to deal with the pesky world leaders.
As they watched the moon shatter, an undeniable fear pooled around each and every one of them. It was a fear planted by Kazuki that rooted itself down to their very core. From the destruction of the moon to the suppression from his aura, these people could not deny the truth laid before them. Kazuki was not one to be pushed.
Right away the world began to tremble all over as tidal waves rose hundreds of feet in the air and raced across the surface of the Earth.
Billions of people around the world all witnessed the moon’s absence and could feel the world-shaking violently. The dread that took place caused mass panic and thousands of people died from fright alone. People truly thought the end time was upon them.
Kazuki lifted a hand and his power wrapped around the entire world. Those that died he promptly revived then and there. His ki surrounded the world and calmed everyone just before he called out.
(People of the world, calm yourself. You do not know me and most likely never will.)
The world stopped shaking and the ocean became tranquil under his power.
(Just now, the destruction of the moon and the quaking of the world was my doing. Do not fear me for I am not your enemy. I simply had to show the leaders of this world that I am not to be trifled with. Take a look in the sky.)
Hearing a god-like voice echo in their mind, these people thought they were all going insane but strangely they could not resist Kazuki’s voice as they made their way outside and looked up. Those that couldn’t get outside, those that could not see, any and all, Kazuki allowed for them to see the sky.
With a thought, Kazuki’s eyes began to shine. One with purple light and the other with emerald green.
Right before everyone’s eyes, the shattered moon began to put itself back together piece by piece. Second, by second, billions upon billions of pieces rushed together and the speed of this process only increased after every second. One second became two and then two became three. Less than ten seconds went by and the moon was once more whole. It was as if the moon had never been destroyed in the first place.
People all across the world began to pray and cry out. Even those that never had such a thing as faith could not help but second guess and question their entire lives.
Kazuki’s voice once more entered every mind across the globe.
(What I did just a moment ago may have come across as cruel and I understand doing so was wrong but at the same time, my actions were necessary to prove a point to those you all follow. Still, that wasn’t fair to any of you so I already have something in mind. A little compensation and gift to show you I am not here to harm you.)
The ki he had wrapped around the world, in an instant sank into every person worldwide.
Those that were injured, those that had disease or disfigurement, whether you were born with an ailment or just had a simple rash, Kazuki fixed and healed every one. It didn’t matter if you had a genetic disorder or simply could not hear so well. Kazuki remade tens of millions of bodies in an instant and transferred souls from one body to a brand new one.
People all across the world suddenly had a new lease on life. A man born without arms, a woman barren. A terminal child. Each and every one of them was made whole.
Kazuki didn’t stop there. His ki and stone magic spread to every corner of the world and removed any and all pollution that affected the environment. The air across the world was fresher than ever before and when one took in a breath, it was as if nothing could go wrong.
Kazuki lifted a hand and a mountain was created. It was bigger than any mountain on Earth and it hovered silently over the ocean. This was a mountain made for a single purpose, to feed those who had nothing. It contained a small amount of Kazuki’s power. A barrier flashed around it indicating nothing could come near it. The mountain was so large and floated continuously so that when the Earth rotated, it would not. At the same time, it would follow along with the Earth as it orbited around the sun, and yet it did not affect the gravity of the world or prevent light from passing through it. It was as if it was there and not there at the same time.
Because of this, if anyone looked up in the sky, you would be able to see it.
(Everyone has a right to food and water. Those in need, simply call out in your mind and you will never go hungry again.)
A small child heard Kazuki’s voice. He had been hungry for days and was barely hanging on. He could see it, he could see gods mountain and he begged with all of his heart.
(Please god, please give me some food.)
The mountain could sense the boy and took a look at his soul. Seeing no evil within the boy, the mountain began to operate. A fraction of a second later, a tiny light shined in front of the boy and a meal was teleported in front of him. It was the same crop made from alchemy. It was nutritious and tasty at the same time and it came with a large cup of water.
The boy looked at the food in front of him and thought he was hallucinating. Picking up the food, he took a bite and felt a rich savory taste. The boy quickly ate it before drinking the water next and once more he was shocked. This was the most delicious water he had ever had. It was cold and almost sweet. He did not know water could be so good. Not only was the food and water the best he’d ever had but he felt a strange warmth flow through him as his body grew a tiny bit stronger.
The boy fell to his knees and began to pray once more.
(Thank you God…thank you!)
Kazuki made it so that no one could manipulate this mountain. This food source was for those who could not get food. The mountain would scan a person’s soul and check it for evil. The evil was what Kazuki judged as evil. If the person was evil and they wished to receive food, the mountain would ignore them. If someone tried to force another to call out to the mountain the mountain would know and without hesitation, the mountain would kill that evil person.
Kazuki was fine with helping, it really took nothing for him to do but he hated being taken advantage of. If someone tried to use his mountain without his permission, that was basically like they were trying to steal from him. To Kazuki, there was no reason to keep such an existence around.
Arc thought it was Kazuki being judge jury and executioner again but Kazuki didn’t care. He took the if you fuck with me then I’ll fuck you back approach. In this way, only good people could use the mountain and only if they were in need. If they were evil and tried to use it or get someone else to use it for them, the mountain would immediately destroy their soul.
Kazuki placed a single Cosmic crystal within to power it. This magical farming mountain would last for more than 10,000 years. After that, the power would need to be replaced, otherwise, the mountain would fall into the ocean.
Kazuki told everyone in the world about the conditions of the Mountain, this was the first and last warning to those who would try and misuse it.
Cutting the communication with the world, he refocused on the world leaders and champions in front of him.
“You have all seen what I am capable of. I can destroy any of you anywhere and at any time with a thought. Do not attempt to harm any of these people behind me, otherwise, I will kill you. You have been warned.”
Kazuki snapped his fingers and everyone was teleported back to where they came from.
From this day forth, the world had been forever changed.
