Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 61
With this new discovery, Kazuki was thrilled and began to add more and more vibrating spheres from other crystals. He was literally jam-packing them into the first crystal. After forcing them inside his first crystal, the space inside was becoming more and more cramped. Once it reached a certain fullness, the sphere-shaped objects would fuse together and the shape would change into something akin to an egg.
This freed up a large amount of space and Kazuki could repeat the process over and over. After around 8 times, the inside of the crystal finally reached its limit. The crystal was no longer made up of vibrating spheres but instead egg-shaped vibrating objects. These eggs were stacked and layered by the hundreds and with his inscription etched into each one, they would no longer be overloaded with energy and be destroyed.
When one was filled with energy, a barrier would form around it and the energy would no longer be able to enter these fused eggs. The energy would move on to the next empty egg and fill it up with power. In this way, the crystal would last far longer. Not only that, Kazuki added another layer of magic. Once the crystal was filled and could no longer hold even a drop more of energy, it would begin to dispel energy outward.
For now, this was what he came up with but this idea was already opening up new paths that Kazuki had never even thought of.
The crystal was now complete. Kazuki’s aura surrounded the moon-sized crystal and as he manipulated the element of space or rather mimicked it, the enormous crystal shrank rapidly until it was once more the size of a hair.
The tiny hair-sized crystal floated silently above his palm and Kazuki couldn’t help but beam with joy.
(My original crystal would already have been considered among the best in this Realm if not the best. After doubling the vibrating spheres inside, and adding a bit of my own magic, the crystal’s efficiency went up by more than 1,000% not only that but it could hold around 100 times more energy. After stuffing the crystal to the gills the spheres fused into an egg-like form and cleared up more room. Repeating this process, the crystal can now hold 10,000 times the energy.)
With the knowledge of a single Mage, Kazuki had adapted that knowledge and made it his own and now he had created something beyond the Mages of Gordonia.
Looking at the tiny crystal hovering above his hand, Kazuki found a bit of inspiration.
(This crystal needs a name. Something that represents both its power and scope…Cosmic Crystal. Yes, it sounds like a bit much but any who understands what this crystal can do, there’s no doubt they would agree.)
Kazuki tested the crystal out a few more times. He filled it to its capacity and just as it could hold no more energy, the inscriptions inside activated and it began expelling energy at a tremendous rate. Kazuki increased his own output, sending magical energy into the crystal faster and faster and the crystal responded in kind by dumping energy even quicker. This though didn’t last long as Kazuki could deliver energy much faster than the crystal could expel. He could feel the crystal on the verge of breaking down and he quickly pulled his power back.
(This crystal can hold an amount of power equal to around 10 or 11 averaged-sized worlds.)
Kazuki reabsorbed the energy within the crystal before twirling it between his fingers almost obsessively.
(In order to look inside the depths of a star I’ll need more than just a single Cosmic crystal. Much much more.)
The problem Kazuki found with this was the time it would take to create the number of Cosmic crystals he would need. Just using a single one would be nowhere near enough to absorb all of that energy, plus he would find himself in the same situation as earlier if the energy of a star was absorbed from a single spot. It would once again become unstable and self-destruct. No, Kazuki needed hundreds of thousands of these new Cosmic crystals if not millions. They would have to surround the star from every conceivable angle yet at the same time be able to maintain enough distance to not be drawn in and destroyed by the star’s gravity.
(After I figured out what to do, it took me a few minutes to create a Cosmic crystal. Using both my magic and aura to work in unison, I can probably make tens of thousands in a few minutes but that pace is slow.)
If anyone could hear Kauzki’s thoughts at this moment, surely they would spit up mouthfuls of blood and would die of envy. He had literally just created something none of them could ever imagine and even if they could imagine it would be an impossible task for them to even make a single Cosmic crystal. Even if they had all the riches, all the resources in the entire world, they would still not be able to achieve what Kazuki just had, and yet, in his mind making tens of thousands in a matter of minutes is something he considered to be a slow pace.
Kazuki had no patience right now, not after just creating something new and grand but he understood that making millions would take time.
(Is there anyone who can help with this?)
Kazuki’s first thought was Alutra. She was a Demigod and she had magic far beyond Kazuki but at the same time, she would need to be able to use the element of space like Detra. That or he could share his knowledge of how to mimic the element of space using aura but he’d also need to show her how to mimic the element of gordonia. Kazuki quickly shook this thought away.
(Even if I share those specific memories with her it doesn’t mean she will be able to do it at a proficient level. I thought sharing things through the soul would allow one to perfectly mimic what one had learned from another’s soul but Danny changed my mind on that.)
Danny had told Kazuki what had happened during everyone’s desperate struggle to escape the mountain base while Torzz and Zetrazz were fighting each other. Danny had the same knowledge as Kazuki on how to manipulate aura but when he himself tried to use it to simply fold a few layers of aura he struggled greatly and failed several times before he just barely could copy it.
Danny was incredibly intelligent, Kazuki didn’t even mind admitting that Danny’s intelligence surpassed his own. Intelligence though wasn’t the only factor in being able to mimic power. Even with the memories and experiences shared, it was still too much for Danny. No, one needed far more than a big brain. Kazuki assumed it had something to do with the strength of the soul itself but even he didn’t know for sure. All he knew for certain was that just sharing things from one’s soul does not mean you can duplicate it with 100% accuracy.
Kazuki wasn’t just smart but he was also clever, his memory was above and beyond Danny and everyone else. With the added effects of ki and the power of his soul, Kazuki’s comprehension was unmatched, at least in this Realm. He assumed this was why he could copy what others could not.
(Even if Alutra is talented, this requires far more than talent. Not only that but just one other person will not be enough for what I want. I need more, far more than what a few friends can do…)
Kazuki’s thoughts came to a grinding halt as an idea struck him.
(I am not enough because I don’t have enough hands. I split my aura up, which gives me artificial hands so to speak, that’s what I need, more artificial hands. I need something that can just do the job for me. I need a new magic tool!)
The memories from several Magic crafting masters came to the forefront of Kazuki’s mind and thousands of ideas appeared in his head.
(Yes, if I can make a magic tool to do what I do by itself then I can automate the process. If I make two then that’s twice the production. If I make three then that’s thrice. The limit can easily go up and I won’t even have to put all of my focus into it and can continue with the rest of the preparations for defending this Realm.)
Kazuki understood that Sid’s little request became way more than he thought and to dedicate too much time to it would be screwing up his priorities, which first and foremost was the protection of the Realm. He couldn’t put too much time into this and wind up neglecting the important parts, so he quickly came up with an outline for this tool before returning to Gordonia.
Sid who was discussing something with a few other experts in the ways of crafting suddenly was teleported away mid-conversation freaking out the others.
He found himself in a large room with a forge and a crafting station.
He saw Kazuki standing next to a table with a floating light hovering above it. He walked over and was about to ask what was going on but before he did, he noticed a piece of paper on the table and his eyes went wide.
“Wh…what is this!?”
