Return of the Fallen Volume 10 Chapter 99

Stepping out from the other side of his rift, Kazuki and Kosaru appeared near a red star. By the time he arrived, Lin and alutra were already there waiting.

A crack in the Realm was already spreading and opening more and more as nearly a dozen powerful beings entered their Lower Realm. The moment they arrived so to did Asuna and everyone else from Kazuki’s side.

Strange creatures had come. Some had multiple heads with sharp fangs while others transformed and were bigger than mountains. Tentacles with teeth and wings made of bone. These creatures were disgustingly odd, to say the least.

The moment they came through, they spread their auras out and sensed Kazuki and the others, and instantly they became pale as they felt Lin and Alutra’s Divine energy. They understood there was not just one but two Demigods in their presence.

The moment they noticed this though, it was already far too late. The crack they had made to get into the Realm was quickly sealed shut as both Detra and Asuna locked that region of space. Just as everyone was about to attack, Danny stopped them.

(WAIT!)

The enemies had no clue why Danny had stopped the attack but felt relief. Some of them began to wonder if they were just going to be extorted of all their valuables or made into slaves. This would be regretful but much better than dying a useless death. Many of them, knowing there were Demigods in this Realm were prepared to surrender but Danny’s next words told them their expectations were way the fuck off.

(It’s time to test the new Golems, is it not?)

Kazuki and everyone else had been waiting for this for a while now. Danny’s ring shined with radiant purple light and three tiny beads came out of his storage ring. The instant these tiny beads appeared, the intruders all felt a chill run down their spine as they felt a dangerous amount of energy being stored in them.

One of the intruders became spooked and his mind echoed out in a panic.

(DESTROY THE REALM BEFORE THEY USE WHATEVER THAT IS! WE MAY JUST SURVIVE IF WE DO IT NOW!!!!)

Several of these intruders didn’t hesitate and all at once they punched or roared. Their magic exploded outward in all directions. Just a single one had the power to destroy the fabric of this Realm with brute force alone but they had moved too slowly.

The three beads shined and expanded in an instant. Increasing in size millions upon millions and then billions of times in a fraction of a second until they were as big as planets.

All of the strength, all of the enemy’s magic, all of it froze on the spot or rather then froze, all of it slowed by such an amount that it looked as of the enemies had suddenly come to a standstill.

The three planets opened up and changed shape and became something never before seen in this Realm. Titan Golems! Human shaped to a certain degree, these Golems were beyond intimidating. Each one the size of a world with giant gems the size of mountain ranges for eyes. Their eyes glowed with a multitude of colors and their bodies were all colored in a dull white.

One of the Titan Golem had lifted its large hand and glowed with purple and grey light. Time and space had been slowed around these intruders and their powers had come to a grinding, snail-like pace.

At the same time, one of the other Titan Golems’ bodies separated into billions of pieces and surrounded the enemies. It did not attack them though and instead, it became like a large wall in front of their slowed attacks.

All at once, the separated pieces took on every single attack the intruders had dished out.

There were silent explosions ringing out in every direction and millions upon millions of pieces were seemingly being destroyed. The pieces became broken and shattered into even smaller pieces but to the intruder’s shock, the very next moment these pieces glowed and began to regenerate themselves.

Even if the pieces were so small that they could no longer be seen with the naked eye, it didn’t matter. If there was even a tiny speck remaining, the entire piece would repair itself at a rapid pace until it was whole once again.

The intruders saw this and felt something was completely wrong here. They had never seen such a magic device or tool before. For there to be something the size of a world that could first of all take not just one of their attacks but several all at once. This was already something that should not be possible but secondly the fact that even pieces that had been completely destroyed had somehow repaired themselves and in such a short time as well. This…this was something that shouldn’t be possible in their minds.

They knew if they didn’t get away…if they didn’t escape here and now their lives would be forfeit. Two Demigods, several 7th stage beings as well as these unnatural, ungodly Golems, this was an absolute nightmare.

(What in the 7 realms f hell is wrong with this Realm!? How can there be such dangerous things!?)

All of the intruders rushed forward. Even if they were being restricted by one of the Titan Golems controlling space and time, its powers compared to their own weren’t as much as they initially thought. Yes, it was powerful but it was also artificial. It could slow them but only by so much.

Each of them rushed forward. They knew their best chance at escape was to tear through these Golems and then tear through the Realm itself before the Golems had a chance to repair themselves. They didn’t even dare try and face any of the people here as they didn’t know what other cards they had up their sleeves.

Several of them rushed toward one and only a few went for the other two. All at once their auras and powers exploded outward while Kazuki and everyone else simply watched from the sidelines. Seeing how big the Golems were the thought came that they would be extremely slow. This thought process though was beyond wrong.

The three Titan Golems lifted their hands all at once and the flow of magic changed.

Lightning ripped out of each of the Titan Golems’ palms and connected to the other Golems’ hands all at once. In doing so, the intruders were surrounded by a triangle of lightning. Just as they tried to strike out with magic, the triangle of lightning expanded and became a dome. Millions of bolts of lightning came raining down all at once within the dome, striking at any and all magic power the moment it left the intruders bodies.

To their shock, the moment this lightning touched their magic, their magic energy was severed. The pillar of dark fire, the frozen beam of light, the magnetic spears of metal all of their magic attacks were destroyed. Not only that, they felt a stinging pain inside of their soul as the lightning entered their soul worlds and struck their soul trees.

Very quickly they all tried to cover their soul trees, cover their bodies in a layer of aura but this was barely helping. The lightning was damaging their auras. Not by much but enough for it to be noticeable. They realized their magic was completely useless while trapped in this dome of lightning.

While those that fired their magic were already seeing their ever-approaching doom, the others that were trying to forcefully smash their way out of this encirclement were behind in regards to their soon-to-be futures.

With a force that could destroy a star, shatter any known material in a Lower Realm, and erase a Lower Realm in itself, several fists and kicks came flying at one of the Titan Golems. Just as these blows were about to connect, a new material appeared on the surface of the Titan Golem. Not just in one place but instead in every spot the intruders were going to land a blow.

*BAM BAM BOOOOM CLANK!*

Even though sound should not be able to occur in the vastness of space, due to their power, these blows of theirs actually became audible for a fraction of a second. If this sound were in a world, the force of just the noise alone would ripple out like a disaster and destroy said world.

What could destroy a Realm in a single blow, to their dismay only left dents upon this new material. Not only did they only leave small dents here and there but they could clearly feel pain in their hands and feet. This was beyond strange and weird and it was also frightening. Now the intruder’s confidence fell through the floor.

It was at this time that Kazuki called out to Danny.

(I think that’s enough. Time to finish them.)

Danny rubbed his chin before giving a nod. The glow in the Titan Golems’ eyes changed and the lightning’s color went from a whitish blue to a fiery crimson before striking all of the intruders at once. The difference between the red lightning and the blue was evident right away. Their auras were taking light damage from the blue lighting but this seemingly innocent shift from blue to red was devastating as it immediately ripped through their auras.

The red lightning didn’t even give them a chance as it contained the elements of wind and fire along with the sword forms. The moment the red lightning hit their bodies, their bodies started to become ash and the second their soul trees were touched by this red lightning, their souls were destroyed and they were no more.

The intruders who had invaded, in less than 30 seconds, none of them no longer existed.
