Return of the Fallen Volume 11 Chapter 130
Lestirius vanished and with it, the momentum faded away. Still, many were annoyed at this point. Basically, they had come over for nothing. Some wanted more of an explanation, but they knew they would not get it from Viz.
All of the Gods hovering over the city, with no more business here, they left. Down below, the many Factions that had gathered, without a word, they all turned around and left, causing these so-called warriors a great sense of relief. Fighting amongst themselves is something that comes with the territory but fighting a God, they would be of no use and would only die. They were glad that nothing actually happened and were sent away.
In the sky, there was the half-blooded stranger, Viz, Sasha, Kazuki, and Tessa.
Sasha was annoyed that Tessa had yet to leave and glared at her.
“Don’t you think you should go now that things have been resolved? I’m sure you’re bothering Viz.”
Tessa smirked and linked her arm around Viz’s.
“Me a bother, I wouldn’t say that. Viz has already accepted me, mind-body, and soul. You on the other hand, what are you to Viz? Everywhere you go you leave a trail of smoke, what a nasty habit you have and an even nastier smell.”
Sasha’s whip appeared in her hand and her aura was on full display. The other Gods had just left when they felt her presence and power but none of them returned as they already knew the cause. It seemed like a new show was about to start but Viz quickly unlinked his arm from Tessa’s.
“I think it’s time everyone left. I have business to attend to.”
Sasha chuckled and Tessa felt a sting in her chest.
She tried to say something to Viz but he flew back down to his castle.
“It looks like I am not the one who offends his eyes but you Tessa. How funny is this? You look heartbroken but don’t worry. I’m sure he’ll move on just fine without you around, hehe.”
Just as Sasha was making jokes, A great deal of pressure erupted from down below and surrounded the two women. It became difficult to breathe and they felt a sense of danger as Viz became cold.
“I thought I said to leave. Both of you…Go!”
Without a second thought, the two vanished before they were killed. None had one Viz today and they would just have to try at another time when he was not in a mood.
Just as Kazuki was about to fly back down, he heard Tessa’s voice in his head.
(Jentson, I have something to tell you.)
(Me?)
He didn’t understand why she was communicating with him and got a bad feeling at first.
(Do not worry mortal. You are already a valued customer of mine and more than that you are close to Viz. What I have to say may affect you which in turn may affect Viz.)
Kazuki now understood. If she spoke anything else to Viz, she might actually be in danger but if she spoke through Kazuki things would be different. He didn’t consider Viz and him to be close but from an outsider’s perspective, it looked that way. Kazuki spoke cordially.
(Please tell me whatever you wish and I will relay it back to Viz.)
Tessa just came out with it.
(It’s obvious how I feel about Viz, anyone can see but he is tough to get through to. Maybe with this information, he will open his heart a little. at the very least his eyes to my true value. The information is about Signy. A few moments after you all left my market, he stopped by and purchased out my remaining stock of slaves. Everyone in the city knows you all are Adigus’s enemies. The fact that he sent his right hand to buy as many fighters as possible, it means something is coming. Tell Viz if he gives himself to me…I will gladly lend him some strength but again, only if he becomes mine and mine alone.)
(I…I understand. Thank you.)
(Don’t thank me mortal. Just relay the message exactly as I have spoken. No embellishing and no tricks or I will know. By the way, do not think me a fool. Viz has no friends and I have seen that stranger around a few times in the city. For him to recover like this and for you to have bought out all of my slaves that had damaged souls, the connection is not a coincidence. I won’t say what I think but just know that I know it was you who repaired that man’s soul. I don’t know how but it is the only thing that makes sense. I will let this go but if you ever try and pull the same shit on me, YOU WILL DIE A DOG’S DEATH!)
Kazuki suddenly felt a splitting pain in his head sh Tessa hit him with a bit of force directly in his mind. If he was at the 6th stage, this would have caused his head to explode on the spot. Tessa was well aware of this and did it purposely.
Kazuki flew down with the stranger just as Viz was repairing his castle. It would cost everyone else in the city a good deal of Divine crystals to repair these special buildings but for a God, it merely took a thought for it to happen.
The moment Kazuki landed, Viz chuckled lightly.
“So which one spoke to you? Either way, it seems you did not walk away without something troublesome taking place.”
Kazuki rubbed his forehead pitifully.
“It was Tessa. She had a message for you.”
Kazuki then relayed the message in full and Viz nodded along.
“Hmph, what a vixen. Jentson whatever you do, stay away from women Gods, for they will be your downfall. So annoying. Acting as if she is giving me a gift when in reality it is more like a slave seal. The fact that she thinks I need her strength in the first place, how arrogant can one be?”
Kazuki just kind of stared at Viz and wondered if he really could not see the hypocrisy in his own statement but it seems he really didn’t.
“Forget it, and forget her. Though her information is useful to some degree. Since Signy has bought up the rest of the slaves, it means they are preparing for an attack, and most likely soon. Maybe Adigus’s injuries were exaggerated. Either way, we can expect a large force of Demigods. As for other Gods that will be our enemy, I could probably point out a few from the exchange just now.”
“Yes, they did not hide their disdain for you. It seems you have a talent for making people hate you or rather the men hate you and the women are obsessed with you.”
Viz rolled his eyes.
“They are blinded by an ideal and think that is me but they are simply wrong. I am me and nothing more. The men on the other hand are just jealous of my power. Up until now, they’ve needed Factions to help build their power, meanwhile, besides my servant I had been alone all this while. They really had hateful glances when I said this man here was an old acquaintance. Speaking of, what was that explanation you fed me earlier? I felt almost embarrassed to say all of that made-up backstory crap. Me being saved in the past, how laughable.”
Kazuki shrugged.
“I thought the tale was pretty good considering I had about 5 seconds to come up with it. Knowing very little I had to come up with something that was semi-believable. That combined with your known strength and your intimidating presence it was sold fairly well. Now they are off our acks after that disturbance of power and we have another strong ally on our side.”
Viz looked the stranger up and down and sighed.
“His soul is healed for the most part but his memories did not recover. Even if he’s a God, if he can’t fight appropriately, he will be no good. Hey, can you even hear me half-blood?”
The half-blood turned his attention to Viz before his aura came rushing out without warning. Viz did not expect this but he was quick and quickly countered with his own aura.
The invisible soul energies clashed and both sides were pushed back half a step.
“Oh, it looks like you have a bit of strength but if this is all, my point still stands.”
Viz raised a fist and he came rushing in ready to crush the half-blood but just as he was about to connect a punch, the half-blood fell to his knees and bowed.
Viz’s first stopped an inch short of the man’s face and he raised a brow in confusion. The very moment Viz stopped, the half-blood fist came racing upward and he connected with an uppercut sending Viz backward into a wall.
Viz stood up instantly, a look of rage on his face.
“You scaly little bastard!”
