Return of the Fallen Volume 11 Chapter 134
Kazuki’s powers spread across the courtyard and similar to how he fixed Kori’s soul, the new slaves experienced a sudden change and growth. What once cursed them and caused them to be placed at the very bottom of society, in an instant, it was flipped upon its head.
Their souls recovered and nearly all the damage was fixed. This required the very last of Kazuki’s Divine crystals and he could not fully heal the two slaves that used to be Gods but he did manage to get everyone back to the Demigod level.
Even if they were still slaves, they at least had regained their previous power. To look down on them just because they were slaves could easily be a costly mistake and lead one to their own demise.
“Sir Jentson are you sure it’s safe to use such an ability out in the open like this? What if there are eyes upon you.”
Samuel’s concern was valid but Kazuki was not worried and simply pointed behind him at Kori.
“Before Master began I already placed a barrier around all of us. If someone dares to try and look in, I will know.”
At the same time that all these people recovered their power, Kazuki ordered them all to forget what he had done to their souls. This was a just-in-case type of measure. This way if by some chance someone did look inside and could deal with the slave mark, they would still not see how these slaves had their souls repaired.
Even Samuel and his servants were still unaware of how these people were healed. All they knew was that Kazuki had done something but what he had done, they could not tell from the outside.
When all was said and done, these people couldn’t help but look around at one another. What they had lost had now been returned in full. Power…Unbelievable power coursed through their every fiber. They had experienced the lowest of lows and had been at the bottom of the totem pole. Now they were back. Once again, at least in terms of power, they could stand near the top.
Even if they were still slaves, this return of power was like a comforting blanket. Their confidence returned and they saw the world in a new light.
“Now that you have been returned to your former glory, I would like to have a demonstration. Step forth and attack me with everything you have!”
Everyone’s eyes widened, well everyone except those in the know. The man before them was clearly at the 7th stage and was also their new master, yet he had asked them to attack him. There was no way they would lose, they couldn’t. So hearing this from their new master, an air of greed took hold of many of them. If their master died here and now and it was due to his own order, would that not free them, they thought?
This line of thinking on their part was foolish indeed. Even if they killed Kazuki, Samuel was still the other owner and they would not escape the life of a slave in that way. Not only that but with a slave mark, it should not be possible to attack the one they served yet somehow they could feel no restriction in this regard. This gave them even more confidence but this confidence was misguided.
It was Arc who interfered with the slave mark but none of them were aware of this.
“Master, you can’t give such an order! Why aren’t any of you saying anything?”
Kori was the one who speak up and he couldn’t understand why his master’s supposed family and allies did nothing to prevent this.
“Kori, you don’t understand Big brother very well.”
Kori didn’t understand what Mei was saying.
“This and that does not matter, I will not just watch
“JUST WATCH!”
Mei shouted at him before she pointed at Kazuki.
“Just watch what my big brother is capable of and you will know.”
Before he could say another word, all 50 slaves flew at incredible speeds and covered the small distance between them and Kazuki in an instant.
Soul weapons drawn, dozens of blades came slashing and chopping down from nearly every conceivable angle. Even though Kazuki’s flesh was tough, he could still not withstand a soul weapon. A single cut would allow a Demigod’s soul power to enter and it would crush any normal 7th-stage being. Even Kazuki may die if one of these blades were to cut him.
*BOOOOOOOOOOM!*
All at once, these blades connected but to the shock of these slaves and Kori, the blades did not reach. Instead, every single one of them was blocked by a thin tiny green colored needle.
In the center, Kazuki stood perfectly still.
Several Demigod’s stared at him in disbelief while Kazuki smirked.
“Good…Unfortunately though…Not good enough.”
As soon as he said this, he made a small motion with his hand and a few that could keep up with this motion felt the hair on the back of their necks stand. Before any of them could call out though, a sudden searing pain filled their bodies and they had a small puncture in parts of their body.
In that split second that Kazuki had moved his hand, he had flicked 50 needles exactly at each of these Demigods. Every single one of them was pierced on some part of their body. Well all of them except for two. It was the two people who had previously been Gods. They had managed to block his needle but the two both shared looks of shock. In their Demigod state, they could just barely keep up with the speed of these bizarre and ugly needles.
These needles were fast and managed to push them back. They had blocked with their soul weapons but at the moment of impact, they felt a ring in their ears and a cry of anguish coming from their divine soul weapons. They understood right away that if they continued to block with their weapons, eventually, their blades would break and their souls might even shatter along with them.
This realization was sickening in a way. They had been Gods but now they were being pushed back by a 7th stage being. For a moment they were sure the universe had gone mad.
Both of them instinctively took some distance from Kazuki and prepared to counter. At the same time, the Demigods that had been pierced by his needle, each and every one of them were keeled over and had collapsed.
Kazuki had stabbed his needle into their bodies and coated the tip of the needle with folded aura. A concentrated point with aura folded a few million times, this was enough to pierce even their souls and cause severe anguish. Almost crippling so.
Even with this much pain, a few of these slaves still managed to stand up and try and attack again.
“Oh, now this is admirable but of course, useless in front of me.”
Kazuki didn’t hesitate to pull his fist to his waist and while only using pure strength, he punched out with a force that could crush thousands of Lower Realms.
The sound of explosions rang out constantly as his punches shattered their bodies. Every time he punched, a head would explode or a chest would rupture and cave inward. Limbs would separate from bodies and entrails would spill out upon the ground. Blood went flying everywhere while the two previous Gods watched in shocked and confused expressions.
Just as they were lost on what to do, several more needles came flying at them, chasing them as if to destroy them and send their souls to the endless void.
For the first time in hundreds of thousands if not millions of years, they felt a cold sweat break out on their foreheads as they tried to dodge. One changed the gravity around them and the other looked like he had become a beam of light as the two ran around the courtyard. They knew that all they had to do was land a single blow on Kazuki with their soul weapon and they would win but even at their blitz-like speed, they could not get close to him.
With every step they took and a needle would appear in front of their face. Retreating backward allowed needles to come from the sides and dodging from side to side allowed even more needles to come from above and below.
When they tried to use gravity on the needles to slow them, Kazuki would simply add a small amount of ki to the needles along with a spin. This broke through their gravity and actually caused the needles to get faster.
Using lightning against the needles did not work either. Kazuki used electromagnetism in the lightning and charged his needles with his enemy’s lightning. This way the needles automatically followed the lighting back to its source. This made the needles follow without him needing to expend any extra energy.
Finally, the two strongest Demigods of the bunch were cornered and Kazuki struck. Their bodies became like beehives and were covered with holes. The two of them fell to the ground and were racked with intense pain as they surrendered along with everyone else.
With a thought, the needles came back and were stored away. Kazuki stood over them with a smirk.
“Less than a minute, not too terrible but all of you need improvement.”
Kori was stunned when all was said and done. he turned to look at Mei and she simply smiled.
“Told ya so.”
