Return of the Fallen Volume 11 Chapter 135
After beating all of these warriors, Kazuki stood there for a moment with a wide smirk.
“Not terrible but you all need some work. Today you can relax but tomorrow, I will personally be training each and every one of you.”
Kazuki said nothing more to them and they were just left stunned. A 7th stage being, their new master had thoroughly thrashed them. This changed their outlook on the world and opened their eyes in many ways. Kazuki had been stronger and faster than all of them. Sure his magic did not match up to theirs but he used it in unique and strange ways that they had never thought of before.
They now found many possibilities in their own use of magic and they could feel like there was new untapped potential in each of them.
“Sir Jentson that was incredible.”
Sam ran over with excitement and admiration written all over his face.
“I’m glad you enjoyed the show, heh.”
Samuel shook his head.
“Not just enjoy, I… Even though I’ve already seen you fight a few times now, you still surprise me. I hope I can be like you one day!”
“It’s possible but if you don’t put in the grueling work, it will absolutely never happen.”
Samuel understood this.
“Right right, that is why I need more training. You already mentioned training me but surely you wouldn’t train the slaves before me, right?”
Kazuki smiled.
“Samuel, are you…jealous?”
A tinge of red filled Samuel’s cheeks but he didn’t hide it.
“I know where my power stands or rather where my strengths lie. You helped me enter the 7th stage but it still is not enough. So yes, I am a little jealous but at the same time, I recognize I really do need to get stronger and I know if it’s you, I can definitely get more out of it over another trainer.”
“Well, you’re not wrong. That may sound cocky of me but at least at this level, I’m confident I can beat anyone else at the 7th stage.”
Kazuki looked at Mei and Kosaru who were already starting to play again and he found that it was just about time to get them some more experience.
“Alright, there’s no point in wasting time. Mei, Kosaru, come over here.”
Just as he said this, Simmons took a step forward. He didn’t say anything but it was obvious he had something on his mind. With his soul-reading ability, Kazuki already knew what Simmons wanted and found it almost laughable.
“Simmons, what are you doing? If you insult Sir Jentson again there will be consequences.”
Simmons denied that line of thinking from his master immediately.
“Nothing of the sort Young Master…Rather…I too would like some…Guidance.”
Just like Samuel a moment ago, Simmon’s face became bright red. For him to say this out loud and try and get guidance from Kazuki, it surprised everyone there except for Kazuki.
Samuel gave him a strange look.
“You…Want guidance…From Sir Jentson? You who hate Sir Jentson and see him as an enemy even though you are the traitor. Do not play games, Simmons. I kept you around because of the many years of loyalty you provided along with the pity I feel and the responsibility on my shoulders that my father brushed aside. If this is some sort of ploy, it will not end well for you, that I promise.”
Simmons fell to his knees and bowed repeatedly.
“Young Master, I am not lying or messing around. I truly wish to learn from Sir Jentson.”
Samuel didn’t say anything and just looked into Simmons’s eyes.
“Please Master, it isn’t what you think, really. I realized it the other day. Sir Jentson is not my enemy. It was me, I was my own enemy and I did not take accountability. I blamed others when I should have just come forward with such pressing matters. This led to my betrayal and my incompetence and anger toward this foolish self of mine clouded my judgment. Sir Jentson is…a person I cannot fully comprehend but what is clear to me is that he does not break his word and his power is beyond my scope of understanding. He has saved you and you even after what I have done, have saved me. I can never repay what you have done, nor repay for my mistakes but I can at least begin to try. That means I need to be dutiful to you in every possible way. This includes protecting you. I lacked strength before and failed you miserably. Now I beseech both you and Sir Jentson. Please allow me to learn so that I can be a tool and an asset to you both.”
Simmons slammed his head onto the ground with all his strength causing his head to split open and spill blood as he bowed with respect. Kazuki could sense in the depths of Simmons’s soul that he was genuine.
Samuel was unsure and looked at Kazuki.
Kazuki held no hatred nor animosity for Simmons. In his eyes, Simmons was nothing more than an insect. Someone he could squish at any given moment. Now that he could sense a real change in Simmons’s soul and he was not a threat, Kazuki did not care whether he learned a few things or not.
“And what if you try and betray us again? After learning a few things form me you decide to stab me in the back, what then?”
“I swear I wont!”
“Not good enough.”
“If I even attempt to betray you, Young Master can extinguish my soul with the slave mark.”
Kazuki was unimpressed.
“That is what Samuel controls. He can do it anytime but what about me? it would be annoying if you stepped out of line and then tried to run off and Samuel was too soft and unwilling to finish you. That would annoy me greatly.”
Simmons didn’t hesitate and brought out his divine soul weapon.
“Please, place one of those strange needles inside of my soul weapon. The moment you sense an ounce of ill intent from me, you can destroy my soul weapon from the inside out and my soul will shatter into oblivion.”
A small hole opened in the center of Simmons’s soul weapon. He was being serious. If Kazuki used his mucus needle from inside this weapon, he could easily destroy Simmons on the spot.
Samuel didn’t like this at all but before he could protest, Kazumi smiled demonically and sent one of his needles directly inside Simmons’s soul weapon without a second thought. A small amount of his aura was coated on the tip. Now no matter what, as long as Simmons was within a few million miles of him, Kazuki could destroy his soul weapon with a mere thought.
Simmons closed the hole on his blade, sealing the tiny needle inside. He felt a strange sensation in his soul. It was clear there was a foreign object within but as long as Kazuki did not use his power, Simmons could deal with this small amount of discomfort.
Simmons bowed a final time.
“Thank you Sir Jentson, thank you, Young Master. I will not let you down. I swear it and if I do, Sir Jentson shall destroy me and I shall accept it with no remorse nor rage.”
Samuel furrowed his brows but he said nothing.
After this, next, it was Chaka and Bersik who fell to their knees. Before they could slam their heads into the ground, Kazuki with a thought brought the pair to their feet.
“What are you two doing?”
Chaka clasped her four hands together as if she were about to pray as she pleaded.
“Us to Sir Jentson. Watching you just now, we realize just how weak we truly are. We have to protect the Young Master no matter what!”
Right after her Bersik was waging his tail in excitement.
“What kind of man would I be if I wasn’t moved just now? For Young Master, I would go to the ends of the three Higher Realms and beyond. We need your help Sir Jentson. Please don’t turn us away!”
Samuel finally stepped in.
“You two, how can you just decide this on your own? It is my job as the master to protect you two, not the other way around.”
“Please Young Master. We cannot watch you take everything all on your own. We are your servants, it is only natural for us to stand in front and take the first hit. It is our duty and joy to sacrifice ourselves if need be.”
Kazuki raised a brow upon hearing this.
This small conversation turned into a bigger one and the three started going back and forth.
“I will not allow it. You two are not allowed to fight my battles for me.”
Chaka and Bersik were hurt when Mei stepped in.
“How come you won’t let them fight? Aren’t you all close like a family?”
Mei grabbed Kazuki’s hand.
“If my big brother was in trouble and I just did nothing, It would crush me inside. Same with little brother Kosaru. That’s what you’re supposed to do for the important people in your life, no? Or are you saying that these two aren’t important to ya?”
Samuel felt a frog in his throat. Of course, Chaka and Bersik were important to him. It was because they were so important that he did not wish for them to fight and be in danger.
“But if they fight, they could die.”
Chaka now had tears in her many eyes.
“Young Master, even though we are slaves, you still allow us free thought. What we feel for you is real and what Mei said is true. It would crush us if you were out there by yourself. We care about you more than you can possibly imagine. Please…everything we’ve gone through have we not gone through it together. Do not turn us away now, do not abandon our love for you.”
Samuel felt a heavy blow from this and he couldn’t help but feel the same way in his heart. He went silent for a long time before he nodded his head softly.
“I…I understand. I won’t abandon you and you will not abandon me. Sir Jentson, please teach all of us.”
