Return of the Fallen Volume 11 Chapter 142
As the crowd dispersed and left Viz’s courtyard, a visible number of Kazuki’s slaves disappeared into the crowd. When the courtyard was finally clear, Samuel and Kazuki shared a knowing look. The main group entered one of Viz’s Great halls to relax and go over what just took place.
By the time everyone arrived, Chaka, Bersik, and Simmons had drinks and snacks prepared and waiting. These snacks were prepared using Kazuki’s magic ovens and the recipes and ingredients as well were provided by him. Everyone had become addicted to the taste he could provide and now using other ingredients or other recipes was looked down upon as everyone begged for his food and his food alone.
Kazuki found this a bit annoying. He was fine cooking, he enjoyed it but he was quite busy and there were more pressing matters. In the end, he found it easier to teach Chaka, Bersik, and even Simmons several different recipes and give them access to one of his tiyn worlds that contained billions of enhanced ingredients. With his magic ovens, they could now prepare hundreds of recipes derived from his personal collection.
Even with all of these advantages though, they still could not perfectly replicate the high-quality Kazuki made but what they made was still delicious nonetheless. Even though it did not meet Kazuki’s quality, the food they prepared was on a level that anyone would go crazy for.
As soon as Kazuki and the others walked in, they found Mei and Kosaru already snacking away like little piggies. Mei had plates piled next to her and Kosaru had crumbs all over his face.
“Already eating are ya? Ya better have saved me some ya little monsters.”
Marty came in with a set of goggles and a bit of soot on her face.
Seeing Marty walk in like this, Mei and Kosaru laughed at her, and seeing food all over the two, Marty as well laughed back before joining them.
Samuel, Kazuki, and Viz on the other hand had other priorities as they sat down.
They all held a storage ring in their hand and looked at one another with full smiles.
“Well, shall we have a look at our spoils mortals or are we just going to sit here with dumb expressions on our faces?”
Even though Viz said that. He was smiling the entire time he did so. Out of everyone, he was the happiest. To Kazuki and Samuel, these Divine crystals meant another chance at life. A better probability of survival. Viz on the other hand feared little if anything at all. To him, he had not a single thought of dying any time soon. Instead, these Divine Crystals represented his dream coming true. Freedom, real and true freedom from all burdens.
An opportunity to leave Gauldriss city and go where he pleases when he pleases. To have great adventures and fight powerful beasts and so on. The tiny ring in his hand was his freedom.
“I don’t see any reason to wait. Viz, Samuel, let’s have a look together.”
Mei and Kosaru ran over. Mei jumped in Kazuki’s lap and little Kosaru landed on his head.
“I want to see it all too big brother!”
“Me too me too. Big brother show us all the treasures quickly!”
Kazuki chuckled before opening the storage ring. With him, Samuel and Viz opened their rings as well and a fragment of everyone’s consciousness sank inside and they all took a look together. When they did this, Mei immediately gasped and Kosaru’s big eyes seemed to grow even bigger as he shouted.
“SO MUCH TREASURE! BIG BROTHER IT’S A MOUNTAIN OF SHINY CRYSTALS!”
Kosaru was not lying. Looking into all three rings, there were two large mountains of Divine crystal piled high with a smaller mountain of Divine crystals in the third ring.
Chaka, Bersik, and Simmons were very curious but it was not their place to ask or look into this situation. Samuel already knew how they were and he didn’t wish to hide this. More like he wanted to show off a little and it was understandable.
“Would you all like to see it? Go ahead.”
Simmons was hesitant at first and wished to respect his master’s privacy and business to some extent but Bersik and Chaka jumped at the opportunity and came rushing over almost tripping over one another. With them taking the initiative, Simmons felt embarrassed that he held back at all and he too came over and took a look inside.
The moment they looked inside, Bersik immediately fainted and Chaka was forced to catch him but she as well grew weak at the knees and she collapsed on the ground.
“Young Master, this much…Is this real?”
“Chaka you have more eyes than me but you can’t see clearly. There is no mistake here.”
“UHhhh!”
Chaka released a weird noise but could say nothing else. Simmons as well was absolutely and thoroughly shocked. He did a rough calculation in his head and found the number he had come up with so utterly ridiculous he thought he was going crazy. Still, after calculating multiple times he came to nearly the same number each and every time.
For a moment, Simmons looked at Samuel and saw how far the boy had come in such a short time. This caused Simmons to feel a sense of pride and joy while at the same time he felt immense guilt for his betrayal.
“Young Master, congratulations. With this, your future is secure.”
Samuel gave Simmons a simple nod but he did not become cocky.
“This will certainly help but nothing is guaranteed. The moment I say it is with nothing set in stone is the moment I lose my head.”
Simmons did not know how to respond to that but once more he felt a sense of pride from this answer.
Kazuki as well did the calculation and found the number to be… jaw-dropping but he expected this much as he was literally the one who set the prices. He knew he would sell most of the Infinity Blades but he was unsure if there would be enough people with deep pockets to purchase their full inventory.
He had to thank Tessa and Sasha for their little display. Because of that, it showed the potential of the Infinity blades and with it, those that didn’t have enough borrowed from others and so on until every single blade was purchased outright.
Running the numbers and selling thousands upon thousands of these blades, the final count of Divine Crystals came out to a total of just over 7 trillion Divine Crystals. Viz took this all in and he trembled slightly. His snake servant Gider had never seen Viz like this and was concerned at first but half a moment later, Viz broke out into a burst of uproarious laughter as he slapped the armrest of his chair in celebratory delight.
The chair shattered to pieces but he did not care. Not just him, but everyone suddenly broke out in shared laughter as he fell to the ground on his ass. This was quite literally the best day in his life up to now. He soaked up this wonderful atmosphere as they all continued to laugh like madmen for several minutes straight.
Finally, wiping a few tears from the corner of his eye, he made a new chair and everyone settled down. There was an air of giddiness all around and even though they were calm on the surface, the moment Viz sat down, the chair creaked a tiny amount and everyone couldn’t help but laugh again, thinking it would break once more.

“Now, I say it’s time we divvy this all up accordingly, right?”
Samuel, Kazuki, and Marty all agreed with Viz, and without hesitation, they split it according to their shares. Samuel of course got around half of the total sales while the second most went to Viz and the third and since Marty had given half of her part of the business to Kazuki, the smallest amount was split evenly between both her and Kazuki. Even with the smallest amount, Kazuki now and slightly over 500 billion Divine crystals.
Samuel had split everything accordingly to their previous agreement and stored all of Marty’s Divine Crystals in a separate storage ring. As soon as he gave her what was hers, she simply chucked the ring to Kazuki. Viz was confused seeing this.
“Why are you giving him your Divine Crystals?”
Marty shook her head.
“I don’t need such wealth. Yes, it’s nice but our best bet is to give it all to Kazuki and let him figure out what to do with it. So for now, everything I earn goes to him until we are out of this mess. Besides, what’s the point in all of that wealth when I already have basically everything I want? A mountain of Ancient tech that I get to study and research all I want. My glider that I’ve been working on, and all I can eat of the tastiest food in all of the Realms. It’s a bonus being friends with Kazuki and seeing all the crazy stuff he gets up to.”
Samuel as well chucked his ring to Kazuki.
“Boy, you too?”
Viz found this unbelievable.
