Return of the Fallen Volume 11 Chapter 149

(Jentson, get the expert and leave. I’ll hold this bastard here so you all can escape.)

Viz gripped his heavy sword and prepared to fight the ox-headed beast, God.

(Viz we have three other Gods on our side. Surely with the four of you going against

(NO! You all will simply be in my way and hinder me. Get out of here while this shitstain is focused on me.)

Viz knew this enemy best. Ezenee was no push over. Kazuki trusted Viz’s skills. If he was saying they should run even knowing the cards Kazuki held, then there was no reason to argue. Kazuki gave Samuel a knowing look and Samuel promptly called out to the silently floating ship.

“Sir, if you can hear me it is I, Samuel Cortail. Please come with me and we will leave this mess behind as fast as possible.”

There was no response. Not only was there only silence. Behind Samuel, there were thousands of enemies catching up rather quickly.

Samuel called out again.

“Sir, Please come before we are surrounded!”

Again nothing but silence.

“HAHAHAHA. Viz, you have aligned yourself with mortals. For what reason would the skilled weaponsmith follow with you? Every single one of you is weak. This craftsman is most likely waiting to see who the winner will be and will decide his allegiance then and only then. Your coming here was pointless.”

Samuel didn’t know what to do and the enemies were ever closer.

“Sir Jentson what now. if he doesn’t come out willingly. We are only awaiting an incoming disaster.”

“Right. If he’s not willing to come out on his own, then we’ll simply have to force him out. Kori…Do it.”

Kori took a step forward, a Divine Soul sword appearing in his hand.

Ezenee flashed forward and swung his glaive with full force at Kori.

“You think I’ll let some weakling step in!”

Just as his blade came racing toward Kori’s neck, Viz moved as well. His heavy sword came slamming down and bashed into Ezenee’s glaive knocking it back along with Ezenee. The force from this blow caused a massive explosion and light once more blanketed the sky as Chaotic space was torn open between them.

A powerful suction force began to pull both Samuel’s ship and the expert craftsmen’s ship toward the epicenter of this blow. At the same time, Viz and Ezenee did not stop. They began to exchange move after move and more and more tears appeared all around as Chaotic space was forced open.

Kori Ignored the fighters and moved quickly. His blade cut across the sky and tore through the expert’s barrier covering his ship. At the same time, Kazuki activated the sails atop Samuel’s ship and burned the Divine crystal within forcing it to accelerate away as fast as possible.

Time and space seemed to have slowed as multiple tears were forcibly opened all around them. Kazuki had to guide the ship but his skills with flying a Vajra ship were not as masterful as a certain someone’s. He didn’t hesitate to turn over the reigns.

“MARTY GUIDE THE SHIP NOW!”

Marty didn’t fuck around and with a thought, her eyes lit up with a brilliant glow as she took full control of the ship.

“Giving me a damaged ship and telling me to fly it in this shit show! Now, this is the kind of shit I like. EVERYONE HANG ON!”

Marty stomped on the deck of the ship and a wheel suddenly rose from the floor and appeared in front of her. She could steer it with just her thoughts but it felt more comfortable to grab it with her hands and force the ship to submit like it was a living thing.

The ship seemed to speed up under her control but that might have just been one’s imagination as she sailed it through the swirling forces of death all around her. The ship zig-zagged and flew at odd and strange angles as it dodged every rip in Chaotic space with a hair’s breadth.

At the same time, Kazuki and the other slaves that could use it, used gravity to keep the ship from begin torn apart due to these ever-expanding gravity wells.

Marty with her insane skills just managed to get them all out of range of these tears and flew off into the distance. Their ship came out of the other side and slowed dramatically as it began to fall apart.

“Not bad if I do say so myself. Jentson, what do ya think, am I good or what?”

Kazuki had no time to praise her. The sudden eruption of battle frightened those that had retreated earlier and many lost the will to fight but not all of them were so cowardly and fearful. From their perspective, Kazuki’s main fighting force, Viz, and Kori had now separated from Kazuki’s side. Some saw this as a grand opportunity. Kazuki did not have the expert with him but that was not the only way to drown in riches. Many knew of the massive wealth Kazuki and the others had made from when they had sold thousands of Infinity Blades.

In their eyes, Kazuki and his group had collected trillions of Divine Crystals. Which was in fact true but they did not know he had spent nearly all of it a few weeks ago in preparation for this day.

With no Gods with him, and having less than 50 Demigods on his side, Kazuki’s group became a fat piggy of wealth and treasure. Not just him but many had witnessed Kori snatching the expert and escaping in a different direction. Those that had been following behind Kazuki were now nearly there. They did not care about such short-term goals and still eyed the hidden expert in the distance. With Viz focusing on Ezenee, it meant they only needed to deal with Kori and they would have the expert for themselves.

A commotion arose among these many powerful figures and they were split on what they wanted. The Gods had their own goal and no longer cared about Kazuki, while those in their Factions knew they would not get a piece of what the Gods got so the choice became obvious.

In a split second, the Gods allowed the Demigods to split off from them and they could deal with Kazuki’s group while most went for Kori and a few with resentment went straight for Viz. Seeing him dealing with Ezenee, they found this to be the perfect moment to try and kill him, thereby getting rid of him once and for all.

The groups were divided into different numbers. The Factions without an of the Gods came racing toward Kazuki. Along with those that had retreated earlier, the opponent’s forces rose dramatically. Meanwhile, most of the Gods went for Kori and the expert craftsman while a few Gods went for Viz.

Viz saw a few Gods racing toward his location and found it funny.

(These hateful bastards would rather kill me than take the prize of a lifetime. Since when did I take on so many grudges? Fine! They wish to taste my blade, then they shall know death.)

Combing the power of wind and his aura, Viz roared at the top of his lungs causing the surrounding air to become a raging storm.

“COME!”

This shout sent shockwaves in every direction and everyone that was at the demigod stage and below had their eardrums explode there and then. Blood flowed from their eyes ears and noses and some even fainted from this simple shout.

Kazuki and his people already knew this was coming because Viz had warned them ahead of time. They had already protected themselves with the ship’s barrier and their own barriers so they had come out of this unscathed but the same could not be said for those racing toward them. They had not been forwarned and had suffered greatly.

Many felt their very soul shake and some even passed out and fell several miles down to the ground below.

Kazuki would not let this golden chance go to waste.

“DESTROY THEM ALL!”

All at once, everyone jumped off the deck at the same time, causing it to be pushed down to the ground. Samuel stored it away as he rushed ahead with everyone else.

While rushing toward their enemy, Mei, Kosaru, Samuel, Chaka, Bersik, and Simmons all suck together. A dozen of their warrior Demigod Slaves surrounded them as they formed a unit. Another separate unit was made up of the remaining warrior slaves and finally, Kazuki was by himself.

He, similar to Viz was better off with no one around him. Otherwise, it would be a detriment.

Before the enemies recovered from Viz’s mighty roar, Kazuki and his group struck first.

Nearly every element was on full display as magnificent abilities filled the skies. Fire and light, Wind and lightning, Darkness and stone, water and ice. Explosions erupted constantly as they dealt a heavy first assault. Bodies fell from the sky at a devastating and rapid rate like leaves falling from a tree in autumn.

Across the sky, Many Gods gave chase and tried to catch Kori while three Gods came over nonchalantly toward Viz. Viz and Ezenee broke away from one another and the other Gods stood there with vile expressions. One of them was quite familiar and sneered as he spoke.

“Viz, the humiliation you have caused me…Prepare to receive it back a thousandfold!”
