Return of the Fallen Volume 11 Chapter 165

The dark user’s black beam of foul energy was deflected away but the other magic attacks landed on Viz’s body at nearly the same time.

An arm here half a leg there, explosions rippled out all over his body as he took these attacks directly to the body. Adigus and everyone else smiled as Viz was on the precipice of death but that smile faded quicker than it came.

Viz was thrown far from the explosion and he ended up right next to his sword that was blown away moments before. Even though he was missing limbs, he still had one arm that came out completely unharmed. With a thought, his sword returned to his hand and a rush of power filled him.

Not only did he have his heavy sword once more but the deep wound the dark user had infected upon him had been blown out of his body when he was hit with the other attacks. His wounded shoulder with no more dark energy in it, healed up instantly.

Adigus understood right away they had fallen for Viz’s ploy.

*BOOOOOM!*

A loud explosion shook the ground and in response, a mighty roar echoed out.

*ROAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*

The dark beam Viz had deflected, had landed directly in the midst of the incoming hoard of Beasts. They were already disturbed and on a rampaging stampede heading in their direction due to their forests being destroyed but now that they had been directly attacked by this dark beam, their fury erupted.

The speed of such beasts increased and their main target had changed from Viz, Adigus, and the dark user to mainly the dark user.

The dark user saw what was coming and felt her soul tremble. The beasts coming forth were no ordinary creatures. They were the ones who thrived in the wilds of this world while it was the almighty Gods that holed themselves up behind the city walls.

The dark user knew what future lay before her and did the most logical thing in this scenario. Her ring flashed without delay and a small Vajra ship appeared in front of her. Before anyone could say another word to her, she hopped aboard and tried to flee.

The sails of her ship fluttered and became full as they lit up with bright light but how could Adigus just let her leave?

“YOU DARE RUN AWAY YOU TRAITOROUS BITCH!”

Adigus’s eyes glowed and he tossed his metallic fan at her ship. His large heavy fan spun rapidly and a sphere of lightning gathered around it as it shot forth faster than light. It became like a thunderous arrow as it shot forth. Light had already gathered in her sails and her ship shot forward into the distance but Adigus had moved early in anticipation and his fan pierced the hull of her ship before immediately exiting out the other side.

Her ship exploded then and there and she was forced to dive out of it before the deadly backlash caught her in the aftermath. Unfortunately for her, she still received some of the force and was knocked back.

As Adigus’s fan returned to his hands, the dark suer stared at him in both shock and madness, as she screamed.

“YOU BASTARD! YOU DARE DOOM ME TO AN EARLY GRAVE!”

Adigus regained his calm and shook his head with a vile smirk.

“If you leave me, it is you who reserve the dirt for your own tomb.”

The dark suer felt this was too much.

“BECAUSE OF YOUR SHIT PLAN, MY LIFE IS NOW IN DANGER. DO YOU THINK I’LL STICK AROUND…FOR YOU OF ALL PEOPLE!?”

While the two were arguing, Viz took the opportunity to rush at one of his enemies before they had the chance to refocus. Even with half a body, he flashed forward without delay and swung his sword at his opponent. His enemy, even if half-focused still had plenty of strength. As Viz struck downward with his sword, his enemy blocked.

Viz’s power was great and the moment his blade came into contact with his opponents, he chipped the man’s soul weapon causing a great deal of agony. The enemy quickly retreated to try and save his weapon and with it his life but Viz did not ease up. His sword became heavier and heavier and pressed down as if a billion stars were collapsing here and now.

Viz used a single hand while his enemy used two but even at a disadvantage, Viz’s lade still sunk 9 inches into his opponent’s torso. From shoulder to mid-chest, his enemy had a blade thoroughly embedded in his flesh.

This God could not help but emit a terrifying scream.

The other Gods were not far behind and had already swung their swords at Viz. Viz was forced to dodge backward as his body was still recovering. Several blades had just missed him as he pulled hiss word out of his enemy’s chest.

Viz felt regret as he did not get the chance to finish his foe off in that single strike.

“Damn, a fraction of a second more and I’d have divided him in two.”

Once again the enemies attacked Viz nonstop. Now that he has his weapon back, his defense was much more comprehensive and sturdy. They had left thousands of wounds all across his body when he was separated from his sword but now with it, he could defend himself properly. Even if he was still being injured, it was reduced drastically and his body was quickly recovering.

Adigus as well had to once again apply pressure to Viz just so he couldn’t counterattack but in this small gap of time, the dark user once more tried to flee.

Dark energy surrounded her body and she had a barrier around her as she once again took off but Adigus was adamant. He would not let a traitor leave alive. His calm expression twisted into something fierce as he shouted.

“WHO SAID YOU COULD LEAVE!!!!”

He waved his fan behind him without looking and several large tornadoes filled with lightning materialized into a large wall in front of the dark user. She was immediately electrocuted and knocked backward. She tried to defend herself and block this constant lightning but she could only strip so much of the power from this lightning. it was simply too much and it struck her down.

She released a wild scream as she fell out of the sky and crashed hard into the ground below.

Adigus never took all of his attention from Viz and kept him at bay.

“HURRY! THE BEASTS ARE ALMOST UPON US!!!”

Magic flew and blades split the sky as everyone upped their intensity. Their Divine energy burned as they threw everything they could at Viz. The world around them trembled violently as Chaotic space opened in every direction. These tears grew bigger and bigger but none stopped their attacks.

Viz was the biggest obstacle. If they could just finish him off, there would be no more resistance and they could do what they wish. Once he was destroyed, they could leave this area and completely avoid the hoard of Beasts. Everything else would fall into their hands. They were so close they could taste it. Even with death looming and ever so close, it was a risk they were willing to take. One death, all they needed was to kill a single God and all of their dreams would come true.

A nearly infinite fortune would fall into their hands and they could take over many cities and expand their power and influence with wealth alone. To live for millions of years in a Realm where competition is too rampant, it becomes difficult to ever prosper. To live in such an environment for millions of years with little to no progress, to always play nice and never be able to use your abilities to the fullest, it was something most Gods could not endure.

They wished to do what they want when they want. Sure they could hold absolute power over mortals but where was the fun in that? This place was simply too stifling and this backwaters small world had too many powerhouses and not enough room. They had all outgrown it long ago and now a chance of a lifetime presented itself before them. They would go all out, they would fight with everything on the line to take what they wanted and they would let nothing get in their way.

Molten magma rained down along with beams of plasma and golden light. Lightning struck and pillars of ice as big as mountains froze the world around them. All of this, in an attempt to kill a half-bodied God but still they could not cut him down. Viz endured the cold, the heat, the gravity, blinding, burning, freezing, shocks, and realm collapsing pressure. His body was filled with wounds and blood spilled from him nonstop but during this entire time, on his face was a wide grin.

The trembling from the ground increased and Viz spoke.

“Time’s up!”
