Return of the Fallen Volume 11 Chapter 79
One of the women at Singy’s side drew a dagger in a threatening manner. Kazuki and Marty could sense divine energy coming from it. The woman glared at the pair.
“Say it again. Who’s the bitch. I’ll cut you down and feed the pieces to my cobraiken you insect!”
Her aura began to leak out but before she made a move, Signy grabbed her wrist.
“Stop! How can you be provoked so easily. Step back and keep that mouth shut.”
The woman paused and took a breath. At the same time, she glared at Kazuki and Marty.
Signy smiled. Looking past Marty and Kazuki, his eyes met Samuel’s.
“To think these loosed-tongued fools work under you. Is the Cortail family so weak that they require the help of an unknown Demigod and a tiny 7th stage cultivator? How the mighty have fallen.”
Samuel said nothing. He left everything to Kazuki and Marty. Singy was disappointed. He thought a few insults may get a reaction but Samuel was just watching silently.

Singy was in mid-thought when Kazuki took a step forward. His body moved faster than what should be capable of a Convergence stage being. He appeared before one of the women in an instant. He was literally half an inch away from her nose. At the same time, he made his own stomach churn and he opened his mouth and belched directly in her face. This belch was long, loud, and foul. The woman instinctually swung her dagger at Kazuki’s throat and she tried to kill him.
Kazuki bent backward with insane speed and her blade passed right above her nose. As soon as she tried to cut him down, Kazuki came back up. Unbending his body, he slammed his head forward with a good deal of strength and smashed the woman directly in the face. Her nose broke on the spot and her face caved inward before she went flying backward toward the gathered crowd.
Blood gushed out everywhere and just as the woman was about to slam into the crowd many people stepped raised up barriers or auras and she slammed into them hard.
The other woman standing next to Signy saw this as an attack and a spear appeared in her hand in an instant. Signy though realized what this was and tried to stop her but he moved half a second too late. The element of stone gathered in the tip of her spear and the gravity around it changed drastically.
Kazuki could feel his body being tugged forward but this much gravity was nothing. He changed the gravity ever so slightly and the two flew toward one another. Her spear toward his chest and his chest to her spear. At the very instant the spear would have hit him, Kazuki turn ever so slightly. Her spear was deflected away due to his tough flesh and his arm snaked around the spear even faster than their previous movements.
Kazuki’s fist was already in front of her face. The woman thought nothing of it and planned to simply move out of the way but the fist came too quick. Not only did it come at a speed she could not keep up with but within it was a force that should not be held by a 7th stage.
His fist hit her face like a sledgehammer and continued forward before her head completely shattered and exploded into thousands of little pieces.
The now headless woman leaped off the ground as her head began to rapidly regenerate but Kazuki would not allow her to leave so easily. Only half a step off the ground, a thousand needles were behind her and intercepted her. They drilled into her flesh before wrecking her entire body and exiting the other side in a flash.
Coming out of her body they paused in mid-air just before they hit Kazuki. The woman was pierced by a thousand needles but when they exited her body, they left hundreds of thousands of wounds. Her entire frame was being held up but tattered flesh and she was trying to regenerate again but Kazuki released his own aura and gravity upon her.
To the crowd’s shock, this aura and gravity were no weaker compared to the Demigod with the spear. Kazuki coated his entire hand with many needles forming a glove before he grabbed the woman’s spear. Once more the crowd was left in shock and murmurs began to spread. Kazuki though wasn’t done. He also picked up the other woman’s dagger.
Both women had no clue how this had all happened and even Signy was at a loss for words. Both women tried to summon their soul weapons back to their side but Kazuki’s physical strength was far too much. He stood there in place and was unmoving like a Divine Heavy Mountain. The two demigods exchanged a look before they called out to Signy.
“Signy he attacked first. We can kill him without repercussions. Destroy him!”
Signy did not make a single move. He understood what had happened more than the two. More than that though, he was beyond cautious now. Kazuki’s prowess had been shocking. A 7th stage being had felled two Demigods in an instant. This alone was a terrifying reality but there was another factor that made him cautious. If Kazuki’s strength was already like this then what of Marty’s?
Signy watched Marty carefully. She stood there with a smile on her face. She held no weapon and was just watching. Signy read into things and connected dots that weren’t there.
(If she hasn’t even drawn her weapon and is just watching it means she is more than confident in this man’s strength. If he is this strong and he can take care of those that are half gods then what of this woman’s power? She is clearly a Demigod. If she is the superior one then her strength should be just as out of the norm as this bastard.)
Signy was inferring the situation incorrectly and so he did not dare make a move for fear of Marty stepping in and killing him.
(As long as I don’t attack she won’t be able to kill me within the city without consequence. Since she’s not making a move, it must mean she still has fear of the Gods’ judgment. So she’s stronger than a Demigod but not as strong as a God. Her powers lie somewhere between. Either way, that is still too much for me to deal with. I’ll need to retreat.)

Signy’s sudden shout caused not only his companions to go quiet but the onlookers as well. They all were curious as to what was happening.
“Do you not realize what you have done? Attack him, if I do that…I’ll die.”
The crowd around them went wild. They, just like Signy had confused things. They thought he was scared of Kazuki when he said he would die but Signy was talking about Marty getting involved if he made a move.
At the same time though Kazuki was confident in killing Signy but he wouldn’t do it if the man didn’t attack first.
Kazuki was already finding these rules annoying.
“Singy what are you saying? He attacked us, we have every right to kill him. The law is on our side.”
Signy shook his head.
“When did he attack you first? He burped in one face and then she attacked him. He defended himself and then you stupidly thought he attacked first and tried to strike him with your spear. You morons both fell for it.”
The women looked shocked. At the same time, those in the crowd nodded and agreed aloud. Many of them were Demigods a few Gods and the rest were the weak. The demigods and the Gods saw everything from beginning to end, they were all witnesses and in their eyes, Kazuki had not attacked first but simply defended himself.
The two women suddenly became horrified at the current situation. Kazuki still held their soul weapons and for some reason, they could not kill him even though he was a 7th stage and touching them. They struggled to summon their weapons back to their sides but again they wouldn’t budge.
Kazuki exerted some strength and gave the soul weapons a squeeze. His strength combined with the gloves he hastily made from his tough needles, this was enough to leave a small crack in an instant.
The women both felt an agonizing pain in their souls and screamed in terror.
“NOOO!”
“WAIT PLEEEEASE!”
The on-lookers could see the cracks in their weapons and they were left dumbfounded.
Kazuki smiled cruelly.
“What’s the matter? I’m just giving these a little squeeze. No need to be frightened.”
Kazuki squeezed them again and another crack formed causing even more pain to the two. Once more they screamed in agony.
