Return of the Fallen Volume 12 Chapter 103
Outside the Black gate, several ships had crashed into an invisible wall. They smashed into this wall with such force that every Vajra ship was reduced to tiny debris. The ships were only a secondary matter. More importantly, nearly every single God that was on these ships died instantly. The only survivors were a few Gods who had secret trump cards.
They had unique treasures that allowed them to hang onto their life by a single thread. One of these lucky Gods had been bashed badly but was still alive. However, at the moment they had sustained heavy soul damage and due to that we’re currently unconscious and floating aimlessly near the 8 planet-sized orbs in the middle of the Black gate.
Beyond the Black gate there were millions of Vajra ships and onboard were countless Gods. They had all witnessed the scene of the others crashing and dying on the spot. They also noticed this unconscious survivor slowly float toward the green planet in the center of the 7 black pearls.
If it was just this, they would not care but as this unconscious God floated closer and closer to the green jewel of the universe, an odd thing occurred.
As the unconscious God got too close, suddenly the element of space began to wrap around him. This power folded around his body and enveloped him entirely before he was pulled into the green planet as if he were sucked into a vortex.
Just like that he got past the invisible wall and disappeared into the green world.
Seeing this, the other Gods felt a buzz of excitement. This was not the end rather it was only the beginning.
The few Gods that were up close to these 8 planets also took notice and didn’t hesitate to make their moves. At the same time, now that a way to enter was known and everyone was also weary of the offensive measures of the Black gate, there was a present danger at their backs.
If the Gods up close to the Black gate just dove into the Green world nearby, their backs would be open to attack from the countless Gods behind them.
The Gods in the back had the exact same idea. No one knew who made the first move but it happened in an instant. Someone launched an attack and that was followed by millions more. All aiming to kill those closest to the green world. One God had already slipped in and taken the lead accidentally. They could not allow nor afford anyone else to arrive before them and potentially get to the treasure first.
The Gods at the front also would not take this lying down. The Gods at the front numbered only a handful but after activating their storage devices, several small worlds appeared near them. These tiny worlds were the size of a grain of sand. The instant they appeared, millions of Gods came pouring out of them.
Those at the back now understood why there were only a few fast Vajra ships. The ones that had unique masterfully crafted Vajra ships and had rushed forward faster than the others were part of their own Factions and Clans. They decided to use their fastest ships and kept their main forces in tiny worlds so they could move their armies without wasting ships and Divine crystals.
With these Gods spilling out of these tiny worlds, a large battle broke out.
As this battle erupted a few crafty ones, those that could hide and sneak in the darkness found their way into the green world while others fought.
At the same time, a few Gods stood out among the rest.
A woman wearing golden armor with tints of black had a pair of black metallic claws. She moved with unbelievable speed and cut through any God she came against.
A large man with bright blue eyes carried a shield as big as himself. This shield was round and had spikes all across its surface. His eyes glowed with sapphire blue and with it, beams of golden blue light shot out from an eye-shaped symbol embedded at the center of his shield. This beam of golden blue passed through many and froze thousands of Gods on the spot before he came smashing into them, hammering their iced-over bodies with his shield. Bashing them, these Gods crumbled and shattered.
On the other side of the battlefield. A Vajra ship was narrower in shape than most others and was covered in a strange barrier, colored greyish-purple. This ship flew through several enemies and seemed to sap their strength of any it touched while also crushing them with the element of space.
Several beasts transformed and grew to the size of planets before going on a rampage. Even in the depths of space, they trampled their enemies into dust. Some roared with a strange power that weakened the soul and others shot lightning from their horns. A strange being with the body of a human and multiple deer heads opened its mouth and launched bolts of fiery plasma melting Gods down to the bone.
Gods were dying left and right. Some were turned into ash, others into shattered glass. Some to stone, while some had their flesh melted away. Some had their souls eaten and some of their souls were simply torn asunder. Men and women screamed in agony and others didn’t scream at all. The reason being they had died far too quickly. Some were unaware of how they had even died.
Those that were quick enough and had the wisdom sought to flee with their Divine soul weapons. Those that pushed their luck and had their bodies destroyed or just moved too slowly. In the end, they were the ones who died with nothing to show for it. They had come here gotten nothing and died for nothing.
As millions were cut down there were even more that suffered in other ways. Due to all this power from all sides firing out, constantly. It caused space to tear continuously and many Gods were unwillingly sucked into Chaotic space and never returned.
Because of this, the battlefield shifted and moved constantly as a way to avoid this. Still, even with effort, millions more simply could not avoid being pulled into Chaotic space.

Sitting atop a throne on one of these ships, a man with dark red hair and blood-colored eyes watched the battlefield with little interest.
“So weak.”
His eyes glanced toward a man carrying a long spear and wearing a suit of white armor. The image of a crescent moon was present on this armor and everyone who saw it felt a mix of fear and reverence. Well everyone except for this red-haired being. The man called out to the spear wielder.
“Verius.”
Lord Verius turned to the red-haired man and gave a half bow.
“Master. What is your command?”
The red-haired man looked deeply into Veris’s eyes as if he were looking for something before he finally spoke.
“This is becoming boring. Clear a path and I will enter the green world myself.”
Several people aboard this ship felt useless but at the same time, they would never dare speak out.
Verius smiled before stamping his spear one time atop the deck.
“As you command…Master.”
Verius took a step off the ship and his body blurred as he left after images in his wake. His first target was one of the large beast-type Gods. A large elephant with 6 legs. This giant elephant God was the size of a large world. It spotted Verius and recognized the crescent moon on his white armor and knew what he came to do.
(VERIUS! YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME!? I’LL CRUSH EVERY BONE IN YOUR BODY AND SLURP YOUR ORGANS UP LIKE
Before the elephant could finish its mockery. Verius had appeared next to the elephant’s head. His spear twisted from the base as he thrust it forward. A black burst of energy traveled through the spear as it drilled directly through its left eye. It didn’t stop there. Verius moved forward, through the elephant’s skull and deep into its brain. The power at the tip of his spear exploded in every direction. It traveled through the brain and down the spine and into the rest of the elephant’s body before the entire planet-sized body burst outward in large nasty chunks of meat and bone.
The elephant God did not expect this at all and instantly knew it had underestimated Lord Verius by an astronomical margin.
(I MUST ESCAPE!)
Only the elephant’s soul remained in a weapon shaped like a tusk. This tusk shot away but before it could get away, Verius launched his spear with a swift throw.
The spear tore at space as it arrived at the tusk almost instantly.
*BOOOOM!*
The tusk broke apart like sand crumbling. The spear turned around in mid-space and flew back to Verius. Verius smirked as he gripped his spear.
In the distance, the red-haired God stared at Verius but said nothing. He simply rubbed his thumb over a finger on his right hand.
