Return of the Fallen Volume 12 Chapter 123
Gardius and Stasha’s Vajra ship collided with enough force to split this world. Now the only thing holding it together was the seal Gardius had placed upon it earlier.
Stasha, her ship, and the few on board bounced off of Gardius’s chest and were sent flying into the distance. The crash had been so bad that a large fracture spread across the front and hull of this Artifact ship. The barrier around it was now flickering in and out of existence sending arcs of energy across the deck.
Stasha was devastated. Her most powerful tool had been damaged so heavily. She was unsure it could even continue to fly properly as it now tilted unevenly to one side in the air. Gardius on the other hand simply brushed a bit of debris from his shoulder and taunted.
“Was that all?”
Brella, Jinkin, and Cainen were dumbfounded. They knew Gardiu’s ring was special but for it to literally defy the power of time magic. They had been unaware of what took place while Stasha’s ship had bent time but it was the only explanation. How else could Gardius still be alive if not for his ring interfering?
They quickly asked Stasha what happened through telepathy and Stasha replied without delay. Once they learned Gardius had used his ring to lower the barrier around the ship, they felt a small instance of relief. If he could actually manipulate time then all of their efforts would be pointless. Thankfully he was not that powerful. Still, this relief was only momentary.
Stasha’s Vajra ship was their biggest card to play and now it was greatly damaged.
(Stasha can you still bend the rules of time with your ship!)
Stasha inspected her ship and swiftly replied.
(Most functions have been damaged but both space and time can still be manipulated for a fraction of a second. The cost though will be the remainder of my ship’s Origin energy.)
Brella did not like hearing this. This meant they had one more chance to freeze time and that was it.
Brella’s eyes glowed and she quickly relayed a message to her allies and Kazuki.
(Our number one priority is Gardius’s ring. If we can not secure it or destroy it, we will not be escaping this world alive, let alone fighting over who gets the treasure. This is a fight to the end. Let’s not fuck this up.)
Brella also said all of this to the shadow inhabiting the snake monster’s body down below but he gave no reply.
All of this communication happened almost instantly so there was no time loss. The moment things were settled, Brella and everyone else made their move in unison.
With claws drawn, she rushed straight forward at Gardius while Jinkin and Cainen moved like blurred images.
Gardius as well rushed straight at Brella and showed no concern for the others. The two met face-to-face almost instantly. Brella’s claws came slashing at an angle toward Gardius’s face. Gardius lifted his hand and caught her wrist with ease.
“It’ll take much more than that. Please tell me that you have something else. Otherwise, the tale of my crowning will be boring.”
Brella didn’t even bother responding. Instead, the claws at the end of her fists glowed with firey light as blazing white hot flames came roaring out.
*FSHHHHH*
The flames wrapped around Gardiu’s body but caused no damage. He simply took in a deep breath before his ring activated and the flames were extinguished.
“This really will be a bore, won’t it.”
As he said this, he squeezed her wrist, and the armor around her wrist creaked slightly. Brella winced in pain but if it was this much she could take it. Thankfully her armor began to glow and the armor began to harden and resisted Gardius’s strength.
He tried to take this energy as well but found it was Origin energy and his ring had no effect on it.
Kazuki noticed this as he raced across the ground.
Gardius smiled slightly.
“So this is the famous Invincible armor. An ancient Artifact said to be birthed from one of the seven Realms of hell. Should we test just how much this so-called invincible armor can take?”
Brella glared at Gardius.
“Maybe in the next life.”
As soon as she said this, she wrapped her free arm and both her legs around Gardiu’s back and waist. Her other set of claws came stabbing at his back but unfortunately, he was extremely tough. The claws actually began to bend against his flesh. Gardius laughed at Brellas useless attempt and expected her to show signs of fear at her failure but instead, her eyes only held defiance as she called out.
“DO IT!”
Her words just left her mouth when Jinkin appeared directly above the pair and Cainen appeared directly next to Gardius’s head. Jinkin’s metallic rope shot out from below and wrapped around both Brella and Gardius coiling around them like an unescapable metal net.
Gardius and Brella were squeezed tightly together. Before Gardius could make a move, Brella’s armor formed a helmet and perfectly enclosed her head while Cainen used both of his fists and swung them down violently atop the large drum on his waist.
Gardius found this pathetic and again activated his ring to destroy Cainens magic.
“You know magic will not wo
*KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*
Before Gardius could finish his sentence a sound, unlike any other, exploded in both of his ear drums. His head was completely exposed as this explosive force entered his head and rattled his brain. He had been prepared for magic and could easily deal with it but this attack wasn’t magic. No, it was purely a physical move.
The banging of the drum used only Cainen’s physical force. He was a large God full of strength so when he struck his drum, the impact sent out a vicious wave, a sound wave. The air vibrated at such a devastating degree with the impact of this alone, Cainen could shatter hundreds of millions of Lower Realms.
Gardius could handle many things and even this would only be a minor inconvenience if it ended with a single attack but how could they end it with a single attack? The speed at which a God could move was something a Demigod could keep up with the naked eye. Cainene’s hands moved at such a speed and seemed to have disappeared as he hammered his drum 10’s of millions of times within a second.
The sound wave attack hit Garidus repeatedly, over and over and over. It rattled the inside of his skull and scrambled his brain. It traveled all throughout the inside of his body. His internal organs were reduced to a mushy paste-like consistency and his body went limp.
Jinkin who was above along with Cainen and Kazuki, all three of them rushed at Gardius. Jinkin held his balled fist out and away from his body and made his metallic wire rope thin enough to take hold of Gardius’s ring. At the same time, Cainen and Jinkin, and Kazuki all pulled on Jinkins metallic rope with all of their strength combined.
Kazuki did not know about the depths of the other two Gods’ strength but he knew his own. He used aura strengthening and ki as well as aura breath but it was useless against Gardius. Still, even without Aura breath, his strength climbed to insane heights as he grunted with a low voice and pulled.
Gardius’s balled fist came open and then they attempted to remove the ring from his finger.
Gardius grit his teeth and spoke with a voice that seemed demonic. It echoed and stirred something fearful within the hearts and souls of everyone there as he said.
“NoW THat iS MUCh MUCH BETTERRRRRRRR!”
Brella roared at Cainen.
“Hit him with another attack before he fully gathers himself!”
Cainene was forced to let go and he lifted his drum next to Gardiu’s head but Gardius would not just sit back and take this.
He opened his mouth and gathered a Godly amount of energy. His ring flashed with bright light as he roared at the exact same moment Cainened struck his drum.
*RAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!*
His voice caused the world to shake as it directly tore through Cainen’s attack as if it were made of paper. This caused Cainen to go flying backward.
Kazuki felt his eardrums explode and he wasn’t alone. Jinkin held his head tightly as the pain destroyed his insides. Jinkin fell directly out of the sky as this attack not only contained a powerful vibrating attack but also a soul attack. Kazuki was much stronger than the likes of Jinkin and he had also learned several ways of protection from such attacks from Specxu’s memories.
Not only that but his soul had been purified and strengthened countless times as it was forged under the sound attacks from the black pyramid. While his ears eyes and nose bled, he still stood tall in the sky and did not let go of Gardius’s ring.
Gardius saw this and he became even more excited and thrilled.
“Yes, this is how it should be stranger! Show me MORE!”
