Return of the Fallen Volume 12 Chapter 145
Descending upon Belux like a hurricane of destruction was the fist and magic of several hundred thousand Gods. From every angle, their attacks flew with a flurry of violence, unlike any other. These Gods had something within them snap.
Moments ago, all of them were in the exact same situation. They were all on the verge of death. Their entire existence was nearly stolen away by Belux. Fear, anger, madness. The moment they broke free from his suppression, they rose up with all their might and unleashed their rage, their contempt, and their indignation.
Belux felt the wrath of every man and woman. This type of frenzy was different from nearly all others. Before when they were all enemies with one another, they fought individually against each other or a few against one or two. The fighting was normal in a sense. This though was something one would never expect to see. An entire army of Gods, all with the same purpose.
Even in their fury, their hot rage was focused to the extreme, aimed at a single entity.
Nearly every element of nature was represented here as space shook violently. With their powers, all coming down upon one concentrated point, a terrifying happening bubbled up to the surface as the fabric of reality started to blur between the could and could not.
Space warped and even with the Artificial Origin energy flowing all over, Chaotic space was easily torn open.
Gaps could be seen in the distance and the veil of darkness began to fall apart. A path of escape could be seen and a few Gods made a mad dash for the outside.
At the same time, Kazuki was prepared to make his own move but a sharp pain resonated within his soul world.
Looking inside, the culprit was instantly located. The shadow was inside Kauzki’s soul world. Moments ago, before the shadow was destroyed by Belux’s power, he had split a part of himself off and kept it inside Kauzki’s soul world per Kazuki’s instructions.
(Have you already forgotten our deal? I helped you and even had to give up my physical form. Let me out of his place so that I can make a new body or I will rip your Soul tree from its roots and split your soul world in half. You will be noting m
(Shut up! When did I say I would hold you in here forever? You think I want you in my soul world!)
Kazuki’s aura wrapped around the shadows form before Kazuki ripped him out of his soul world like a bad nightmare.
The moment the shadow was returned to the real world, the power around him gathered at one spot and he instantly formed a new body.
The two shared a silent and somber look. The two were still enemies. Even if they worked together for both of their benefit, the fact remained, they were not meant to share the same Universe. One wished to take over every being in all of the Realms and rule all, while Kazuki on the other hand wanted to live in peace. Because the shadow wished to take over all though, Kauzki could not leave him be, just as the shadow could not rest until Kauzki and everyone else was a mere puppet of his.
(To think this plan actually worked. You are a clever man. Let us not me again until it is our destiny. At that time, your body will be mine.)
The shadow turned to leave. As it did, Kazuki said one thing.
(Those that wish to take from me…to this day, do you know a single one that has gotten away with it? You don’t have to come for me, because I will personally come to find you. Remember these words shadow.)
The shadow smirked hearing Kazuki’s warning.
(We shall see who finds who first…Kazuki.)
The shadow then vanished into the darkness. To Kazuki’s shock, the shadow had used some of the Artificial Origin energy when it did so and Kauzki could no longer sense its presence.
(Damn! In the short amount of time, the shadow shared my memories about the fake dark energy, he has already learned to hide himself even better than before.)
The shadow was a dangerous enemy. He wasn’t a fool and learned from every single encounter. Kazuki knew that if he met the Shadow again before he became a God, his life would not be guaranteed.
As Chaotic space began to tear open all around, Kazuki quickly located Stasha, Dredinkar, and the other Gods in this miserable mess. He hadn’t just been working and communicating together with the shadow but with the Supreme Gods as well.
They knew they had to escape before it was too late. Belux’s power was unfathomable. To defeat him…It simply was not possible at the moment. His dark energy still surrounded them all for the most part. It may not be equal to real Origin energy but this type of dark energy was above and beyond any other they could muster. If Origin energy was the end all be all, then Artificial Origin energy was biting at its tail. Not quite there but only an insane fool would disregard it.
Stasha and the others all gathered on Stasha’s Vajra ship. It was in terribly rough condition but besides Kazuki’s gauntlet, it was the fastest object around.
As soon as everyone was onboard, Stasha didn’t hesitate to will her ship forward.
This was the perfect opportunity to flee. While the others were lost in their own rage and humiliation, Kazuki and the others knew they had to get away. This army of Gods was a mere distraction for Belux.
Stasha’s eyes glowed with bright light and the sails shined with silver light. Her ship took off faster than light and arrived at one of the gaps in this enclosed space nearly instantly. They were mere fractions of a second from freedom.
Nothing though was ever simple.
Even while he was being pummeled, Belux had not taken his senses off of Kazuki and Arc. Just as they got to the opening and were out, the dark energy changed once again. Gravity and space shifted heavily and all of the few openings in the surrounding space were suddenly funneled directly toward Chaotic space.
Anything that tried to flee through the gaps of this place was instantly pulled toward the Chaotic space tears.
The power pulling on them was enough to rip apart trillions of Lower Realms. Stasha’s ship was immediately caught in this sinkhole of gravity and her ship began to break apart.
Stasha screamed as she realized her ship was on the verge of destruction.
“ITS BREAKING HELP!”
Brella, Jinkin, Cainen, and everyone else had to supply all of their energy to the ship just to keep it intact. Brella’s armor enlarged and wrapped around the ship itself and long metallic wires appeared around Jinkin’s arms. Jinkins Artifact rope stretched outward and grabbed onto the emptiness of space and locked them in place.
The pull though was nearly unmatched a sit still began to drag them toward Chaotic space. Jinkin felt his arms starting to tear apart as he grunted lowly in pain.
Kazuki’s ring opened at this moment and he unloaded billions of Divine crystals and sent them toward the tear behind them. With a thought these crystals exploded with tremendous force but even that wasn’t enough. At the same time, he drew power from within the Chaotic tears and filled his core with CHaotic energy before sending it out with a large blasting force.
Finally, it seemed like something in space broke with all of this, and they were sent careening in the opposite direction away from the tear.
Belux had used most of his energy on Kazuki’s group specifically. Because of this, they had to deal with more than the other Gods around. They all understood that they would be targets if they stayed with Kazuki. Abandoning Kazuki though was not an option. They knew if they did this, Kazuki and Arc would fall into Belux’s hands and the Universe would be destroyed.
At the same time, they knew they could not win against him. They had to find something, anything to escape this place. They all looked toward Kazuki expectantly.
Kazuki already had something in mind.
(This will not be easy but it is not hopeless.)
Brella stood before Kazuki her armor flew off of the ship and wrapped around her. Her sharp claws came out and she smirked.
(Of course, it won’t be easy. It never is. So tell us, and tell us fast, what’s the plan?)
Before Kazuki mentioned anything at all, Belux who was still being pummeled suddenly surrounded himself with dark energy. He created a dark barrier around himself and made it several layers thick. One moment every blow and every magic attack landed upon Belux but now their blows weren’t making it through.
Gardius was still enraged and only his blows were still penetrating Belux’s barrier but it was obvious that his blows weren’t going as far or as deep.
This only enraged Gardius further.
He smiled like a madman and nodded.
“Fine, you wish to do things the hard way, then so it shall be.”
A long dark sword appeared in Gardius’s hands. The blade gathered the elements around it and his eyes narrowed.
“I will break you!”
