Return of the Fallen Volume 12 Chapter 156

As Kazuki and Arc prepared to go all out with Belux, something unexpected came flying in from behind. Kazuki was about to knock this unknown object away when he realized what it was and caught it.

(Dredinkar’s card!)

A vast amount of knowledge flowed into Kazuki’s mind and he was left dumbfounded.

(Dredinkar you had this the entire time.)

Kazuki did not know whether to be angry or rejoice.

Kazuki gripped the card tightly, he dared not lose it.

(Arc, change of plans. Can you still brute force Gardius’s ring?)

Arc was astonished and pissed hearing this.

(Change of plans, what the fuck are you saying! We cannot abandon Codex, not now!)

Kazuki quickly squashed the misunderstanding before it took up any more precious time.

(Stop. I’m not abandoning Codex, no rather I have a way that will increase Codex’s odds of survival greatly.)

Kazuki flashed Dredinkar’s blank white card, showing it to a now confused Arc.

(The trees card. He gave it to you?)

(Yes. There’s no time to go into it. Just tell me here and now, can you still forcefully take control of Gardius’s ring if I buy you some time?)

Arc did not know what Kauzki was planning but the fact that he now had something in mind raised Arc’s confidence. Arc quickly did some calculations before answering very specifically.

(Alone, it could take far too long that we’d be dead anyway. With another Artifact, I can crack the ring in 2 minutes and 27 seconds. No more and no less.)

Kazuki took a deep breath before clearing his mind.

(Right, take the ring and when it starts, break the ring’s will at any and all cost. Leave the rest to me.)

Arc felt a chill. Even without a real body, it still felt a chill from Kazuki’s assuring words.

While they were still fending off the dark blades dancing around them like bolts of lightning, Kazuki grabbed Arc, and using all of his strength he launched Arc forward first.

Arc broke through Belux’s dark power and arrived before him and Codex.

Belux was in no mood for whatever plot this was and wasted no time in dealing with Arc.

He raised his hand and the dark hand the size of a mountain came closing shut around all three of them.

“You actually dared come this close to me. Your fearless attitude knows no bounds.”

Belux tried crushing Arc and Codex simultaneously but Arc quickly raised a barrier made from Chaotic energy. At the same time, Arc generated its purple lightning along with the sword forms and tried to sever Belux’s energy surrounding Codex. Belux’s power was still too great for Arc to overcome though and Belux scattered this attack with a simple wave of his hand.

Kazuki held the white card in his hand and his eyes began to glow. Just as he was about to activate it, he heard a weak but clear voice in the depths of his soul.

(Ka..zuKi…usE…ME!)

Kazuki had never heard this voice before but it was all too familiar.

(I guess you can’t stand seeing your friends in danger as well. Right, come forth…SWORD!)

Sword appeared in Kazuki’s hand or rather in Gardius’s hand and at the same time, Kazuki activated Dredinkar’s one and only trump card.

The white card suddenly sank into not only Gardius’s body but inside of Sword as well.

Kazuki felt something tear at a level he did not know exist. The pain was excruciating but at the same time, he felt a clear rise in power.

(Dredinkar, thank you for giving me something this precious.)

The tear continued and instantly Kazuki’s soul was torn apart in a certain pattern. Not just his soul but his soul world, his soul tree, and even Gardius’s body was affected. Kazuki’s mind split cleanly into two along with Gardius’s heart, muscles tendons, and so forth.

Kazuki was split or maybe divided would be more accurate. At first, it was him all alone and then there were two, all the way until there were six complete Kazuki’s in total. Not just him but Gardius as well. There were exactly six Gardius’s. Each one was fully inhabited by Kazuki’s soul and each of these Gardius’s were perfectly under his control.

All six of these Kazuki were nearly the exact same person, all real. The only difference was one Kazuki had more aura, more of a soul than the rest. This was the real Kazuki.

With a thought, all six Kazuki’s made each Gardius glance at one another. They all knew who and what they were but it was still a strange feeling. They were not alone in this venture. In each of their hands was Sword. Dredinkar’s card, his secret weapon was something that defied Kazuki’s former logic of what was possible.

Sword felt the exact same strange yet familiar feeling it got from each of the other Swords. They were all Artifacts and all nearly exactly the same besides the original having more of something within.

The 12 of them wanted to understand further but right now there was no time.

The moment these 6 Kazuki’s within the 6 Gardius’s and 6 Swords appeared, they knew what they needed to do.

The original Kazuki still had Jinkin’s Artifact wires. He wrapped these wires around the 5 other Gardius’s and launched them forward without exception. With this throw and the 5 Gardius’s own speed, the 5 of them quickly caught up to Belux in an instant. The 5 Swords gathered Chaotic energy around their blades and slashed at the dark hand in front of them.

This concentrated power of 5 Artifacts pierced through the dark hand almost instantly. As soon as they arrived, all of them unleashed a maddening frenzied fury upon Belux.

Belux was so shocked by this scene of extra Gardius’s that he actually froze for a split second. In this tiny gap of time, One of the Gardius’s broke through and snatched Arc and Codex away before throwing them toward the original Kazuki.

They escaped Belux’s grip instantly and arrived next to the original Kazuki. Arc woke Codex from its almost comatose-like state and Kazuki handed over Gardius’s Artifact ring.

(Quickly break the rings will and afterward you know what to do. Now Go!)

Once again, the Artifacts were launched with a throw.

Now that there were multiple Artifacts, Kazuki had wanted to simply use them all to gang up on Gardius’s ring and break its will but things could never be so simple. Belux was simply far too strong for that. Kazuki needed every Gardius and every Sword to fight with everything they had.

In the end, even if Gardius was a God, he lost most of his power when he made his Divine soul weapon self-destruct. He was weakened greatly and was being puppeteered in body and soul. Kazuki could only use these bodies for fighting and fighting alone.

The real Kazuki rushed in along with the others. With their speed, they could exchange billions of blows in a second. Kazuki did just that.

Slashes and cuts, swinging Sword, these blows came from every angle one could think of. Belux could not deflect all of them and naturally took several blows.

He tried to raise a shield but all 6 Gardius’s used sword forms and severed it. Kazuki unleashed the metallic wires and sued them like whips and ropes. Some would crack on Belux’s body while others would entangle him, slowing his movement and restricting him.

Belux was completely overwhelmed and several cracks began to appear in his body. Not only did Kazuki strike him with masterful straight-on sword technique but he also mixed in millions of feints and illusive slashes among the billions of moves.

Belux could not keep up whatsoever. His body began to break down as more cracks spread across the surface.

He understood instantly that this was bad for him. If he took this much longer, not only would he lose but he may actually be destroyed.

Kazuki understood why Dreindkar kept this secret weapon at bay. Dredinkar was strong but compared to Supreme Gods, even with this card, he would not be able to defeat a single one, let alone Belux. Nor could he so easily hand this over to others. If he gave it to Gardius, it was basically guaranteed to be abused by him. This card was like a lifeline for Dredinkar and not something he could just give away so easily. That’s why giving it to Kazuki showed just how much he needed for Kazuki to come out on top or at the very least weaken Belux to a state that would make it difficult to recover in the short term.

(This is astonishing but it’s also costly. Knowing what I’ll be paying for this later almost makes me second-guess using it. Forget it, let me push this bastard to the edge of his limits. I will make him regret trying to fuck with me!)

Kazuki and Sword were completely on the offensive. Their power raised the limits of what a single God could do and the two were becoming more and more in sync with one another.

(Sword, let’s crush him!)
